My wife and I shopped several granite companies in the 45 min drive circumference. Wanting the best price, quality, customer service is always on our list, and we chose Asco Granite in Exton for our home. We were very happy with our choice, and speaking on this now years later we are still very happy with our counters. No issues. I'm now writing a review, after using them a second time (a month ago) for another home. Again, very happy. Everyone is great in the showroom to the installers. A special thank you to Simona for following up, along with personalizing the email wishing my mother a Happy Birthday. You will be in good hands with Simona. Michael P.

No one called me back or communicated with follow up once this was provided. I made a trip to the shop a couple weeks later and met with a young woman who could not have cared less about what we wanted. Still, we picked up some samples and thought maybe we'd move forward. Another visit yielded questions about backsplash and tile (they don't do it), and installation and removal of existing material, which she couldn't answer. I left, thinking she'd get back to me with answers. After two weeks I called someone else (who did an excellent job). It appears to me that the focus is on supplying materials to commercial installers and not dealing with average homeowners.

The Trooper warehouse has a huge selection, with many beautiful things, and I wandered up and down the many aisles. I never looked anywhere else, as I found a piece of stone called Lemurian Blue, which stopped me in my tracks. I put down a deposit in March and they held it for me till December without any storage fees, until I finished battling with my insurance company. Dave came out to measure and make the template and did an excellent job. He came out early and got things done so they could start on things. The slab was transferred to the Colmar location, and Henry was the project manager. He was very quick and responsive when it was finally time to move on the project. Henry spent quite a bit of time with me in rearranging the template, found another stone that matched what I had, as we needed another piece to finish everything, and was very patient with my inexperience in knowing anything about picking out anything to do with counters. (Who knew what pencil edge was?!) The Georgia crew delivered things a week later. The 3 guys that installed things were excellent. They were very careful, and it was quite interesting to watch the process. They did no damage to anything in the house, installed the granite very carefully, and also installed my sink. I would highly recommend them. They knew this stone was very special and treated it with great respect.

Review: Hunter Kitchen and Bath…read more I'm sad to review this contractor with a one star review. I met with Chad Hunter (owner of Hunter kitchen and bath, Bryn Mawr PA) to renovate my small 6-by-9-foot bathroom. No plumbing had to be relocated, no shower door (I was ok with a shower curtain), same existing window... but yes new tiles, certainly upgraded electrics and lighting, and a heated floor. We met a couple of times and he mentioned a $60k figure. It was considerably more than I had budgeted ($40,000) - but I'd consider it if it was the total all-in price. I don't really have a handle on construction costs but it's a tiny space, and I do have a handle on sixty thousand dollars: it's a lot of money. I paid him a $1,500 up-front deposit for renderings and to quote. I met with him and his designer a couple of times. After a few months he set a meeting in his office to present the renderings and the quote. He showed me a computer rendering then placed a contract in front of me to sign. It was for $90,000, plus an additional 10% to 15% allowance for cost overruns. I guess he saw me gasp when he showed me that figure. He said I had selected additional items over standard. Really? Thirty thousand dollars over his list price in cost overruns... for such a small space: a 6 foot by 9 foot bathroom. A hundred thousand dollar bathroom? OK, yes, I wanted a handheld shower head in addition to an overhead shower head. And yes, I wanted a walk-in shower with a linear drain. But a $30,000 plus-plus increase in cost? I lost all faith in him and refused to sign his proposal. I said I'd take the renderings as I paid for them and would leave. He told me they were his propriety property, I could only get a credit for the deposit if he got the contract. Or, I could look at them if I came back to his storefront. Right. So if I didn't pay for or receive the computer renderings - I asked for my deposit back. He said non-refundable. So I guess I paid one thousand five hundred dollars for the privilege of having him quote. I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but that doesn't sound like something I'd agreed to. I'm almost 80 years old and maybe he just takes advantage of older people. 3 days later he tried to apply damage control and mailed over a quote for $60,000 which I never looked-at having lost all confidence and trust in him. He mentioned he could do the renovation for $60 thousand dollars but it wouldn't be what I wanted. I already have something I don't want; and I really don't want to spend $60 thousand dollars and have something else I don't want. And now, I don't want the drawings - I just want my deposit back. I'm really glad I didn't use Hunter Kitchen and Bath as I'm afraid something awful would occur once the construction started and the price would escalate - that could have been so much worse, and could have potentially been much much more costly - with no way out. One star. Based on my own experience I can't recommend this firm.

Customer service here is amazing. Sarah, the Operations Manager contacted me based on my review,…read moreand to make up for what happened, she offered me 50% on the next items I purchased. I still needed flooring for another room, so this was definitely a generous offer and very much appreciated. I had another issue yesterday. One of the boxes of flooring I bought was incorrect. The very last box was another brand and another color! Oh no! The contractor didn't find it until working in the last room. The boxes were very long and very heavy, so not easy to go through and check. But after all, the store pulled the order. That item is now discontinued, so I was very worried about how we could finish this room. They located 5 boxes of it at another store about an hour away, but this was way too big for my car. Craig, one of the salespeople, called me and told me he would deliver it TO MY HOUSE within 2 hours!!!! My contractor is installing it now. Thank you so much Craig, Sarah and FLOOR & DECOR! I must say, I was very impressed by the wide selection of products they have to choose from. It's a very large place with so many selections of tiles for your floors, counter tops, and backsplashes in just about any material and price range you're looking for. As well as hardwood flooring in every shade you can think of. As we walked through the place, at least 4 people asked if we needed any help. I thought that was impressive because it's so hard to find good customer service now adays. When we finally decided we wanted help, we were lucky enough to get Sandon. He was the nicest guy! As he talked, we found out that he was a retired contractor and has been in the business for quite a few years. He helped match up some flooring and counter tops for us with the prices from our measurements. He also gave us valuable advice about different materials to use. We weren't ready to buy just yet, but I would definitely go back to Floor and Decor when we are. They also have free designers that can help you. You need to make an appointment for this. You can also buy a tile or two if you want to take it home to see it in your space and return it for a full refund. I must say i loved the selection and the friendly customer service and would definitely go back when we are ready to buy!
