What do you do when you have a lot to paint, and MAYBE you could do it yourself but you know it would take a long time and would never be a truly professional job? You call Heiler, that's what you do! We had been in our house for going on a decade and had painted some parts ourselves but never quite got around the the rest of it; over time kind of got used to our ugly walls. With a pending move, we knew we had to whip the house into shape and were referred to Heiler by a well-respected contractor. Derek came and and worked with us on what to do to whip the house in shape so that we got a professional paint job in the time frame we needed and as close to our budget if possible. I very much respected the fact that the the thoroughness on which they insist the job be done; no shortcuts no matter how small the job. "Pop's team" was efficient, friendly and professional. In fact, they were doing such a great job I asked that more be added before it was all said and done. We couldn't be happier. Our only regret is we didn't hire them sooner. Extremely high price for subpar work. Painting team came out 3 times total to fix/complete work. Painter did half the job and I informed him the proposal indicated other items. Manager backed up his painter, even when he was wrong until he read his own proposal. Quality of work was terrible to paint 2 doors for $1500.00, never again. "Caveat Emptor" read more

Heiler came highly recommended by a neighbor who had a similar project. They were quick to return my initial call. Their estimator walked the property with me asking questions and making suggestions. Once I received and accepted their estimate, I was contacted to schedule a start date. I was assigned a project manager who kept in touch before and throughout the painting. He offered suggestions and kept me updated regarding what to expect each day. There was also a foreman/painter who was on site every day. The job took only 5 days, and most days there were 7 painters on site. They were professional, very polite and extremely detail-oriented, which was key since so many colors were involved. We were to have Heiler do several rooms in my parents' home. The master bedroom was to be the 1st. On behalf of my parents, I did everything to prep-removed drawers, night tables, full-length mirror, closet-only for Heiler to postpone for an additional 2 1/2 wks. Meanwhile, my elderly parents were cooped up in a small room which was difficult for my mom w/ the walker & distance to the bathroom. When the "painters" finally showed up, they damaged furniture by piling some very big pieces on my parents' new & unused Craftmatic bed. Damage was done to the banister as well. They got paint in the master & basement baths, the kitchen, laundry room, on new bed, bookcase, & newly installed carpet. Chris had promised to fully cover everything, which wasn't the case. I came in to find dirty equipment on the new uncovered carpet. Hardware was put on wet paint & when they touched it up, they did a very haphazard job. They painted hooks & nails onto the wall, put a hole in a spot where there wasn't one before, damaged curtain rods & put them back incorrectly & then had the gall to accuse me of doing some of the damage. To top it off, they used to wrong color! We cancelled after the 1 room. I wouldn't have even given 1 star if there had been a choice. No integrity, overpriced, & unprofessional. read more

These guys were great! They were more than competitive price-wise. Richard's crew was wonderful. We had the entire first floor (living room, kitchen, dining room, mud room, powder room and foyer) done at once so we were working and mostly living on the second and third floors for a week. Not so easy on us but we chose that and they were as helpful as they could be in trying to make it as livable as possible. They were professional, friendly, worked quickly, were neat and did a really great job. We have a lot of architectural detail and uneven walls (it's an old house) it looks wonderful. And they were fair; when they realized, partway into the job, they underestimated based on the paint color we chose they did not charge us the additional though they had to use considerably more paint than was estimated. And they left the place clean and if we pointed out some very small drip (we're pretty picky) they missed they were quick to clean it up Highly recommend! read more

In early April, Heiler came out to give us an estimate to power wash and paint the side of our house. The price was good so on April 3rd we put down a deposit. They were going to call us with a date. Three weeks later, after several calls to the office our call was returned. The first opening they have for painting is August. He went on to explain that he had bigger jobs utilizing the entire crew. This is totally unacceptable. He waited to see what other jobs there were and then because our job was smaller put us at the back of the line. We got the deposit back and will use someone who is honest and dependable. read more

Tom and the rest of his employees provided me with the WORST paint job EVER! They never prepped the walls for the paint, never painted two coats. Everyone knows to paint two coats!!! Then they didn't even paint the one room in the house the right color! They had to come back at least 25 times. The amount of money I paid should have been right the first time! They left a mess behind, leaving dirt, dust and other debris. It would take forever to get a hold of Tom and his associate. Everything about them was terrible and I hope no one has to deal with how unprofessional they are. I am not even sure if Tom even knows how to paint. He just sends in his workers to do the hard work. Amazing! Heiler Painting was nothing short of excellent. They did my entire home, and it turned out perfectly. They cleaned up each night and did not leave my home in any sort of disarray, as a typical painting company would normally do. This really impressed me the most. Heiler Painting recently completed repainting most of the first floor of our home including a first floor master suite, living, dining and family rooms. The project was challenging as a result of including extensive wallpaper removal, 10 foot and higher ceilings and dark existing ceilings and walls to be painted white or neutral colors. Mike and the team did an outstanding job! The finished product was a "home run", transforming a dreary interior to a bright, color rich uplifting environment. The meticulous quality of the work reflects a team with high standards and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Equally important to my wife and I was the courtesy and consideration of the work process. As another reviewer mentioned, at the end of each day the paint crew packed things up neatly and returned the rooms to functioning order. Heiler personnel were very professional and courteous from the time they walked into my home. Estimated price was reasonable and within my expected range. The contractors were excellent. The painters moved from room to room in a programmed manner without upsetting the whole house. I was really impressed on how they cleaned each room before moving to the next. The project leader was great. The job was completed in the proposed time frame and expertly done. My husband and I are more than satisfied.
