My husband and I have been bringing our vehicles to Canton Auto Clinic for almost 8 years. The…read moreroutine is always the same. We find out something is wrong, ask someone what we are looking at as far as repair, then call a dealer or a local repair shop, then Dan. Dan can always work with us on price and prioritizing what needs to be done. We used to live in Hingham, and it was not exactly close to Canton when we were bringing our vehicles there. Now we live in Worcester, and still insist on bringing everything out to Canton, because I know Dan won't rip us off. Several times, it was significant work and we did not have a great amount of money to spend. Then, we were in the pickle of, we can't afford a new car, but we can't afford to keep repairing what we have. Like I said, Dan works with us to get the vehicle safe and drivable until we can figure out what to do. My husband has had two cars and I had a truck that we brought to Canton Auto Clinic.

The proprietor of Advantage Auto changed the name to Frasca Automotive a few months after I wrote…read morethe original review. But he sold the business earlier this year to the guy who owns the body shop across the street from him, who owns several body shops in Natick and Newton. The owner who sold the business was able to take all of the customer records with him, so there is NO history of my cars or any customer's cars. It's a good thing I keep all my service orders on file so I have a record of the work done on our vehicles. The sole employee who stayed with the new owners is trying to run the shop by himself. It appears the body shop bought the business so they would have an auto repair shop to send their cars instead of having to farm out the business. I have found a new auto repair place in Framingham and will not be going back to International Auto Works or whatever they're calling it.

My car had a horrible rattling sound which, as far as I knew, could have been anything. A few hours after I dropped it off I got a call that it was ready. They recently worked on my daughters' car and charged $100 for a test drive (twice, and didn't even drive it on the highway). I was back a short time later in the month with continued problems we were having at high speeds. (a highway test drive may have eliminated the return visit) After that, I, reluctantly, went back and they misdiagnosed a problem. I specifically asked if it was safe to drive until I got it to a mechanic that could do the work and Steve told me, "yes". Not even a week later my husband was driving (thank goodness) and he lost all power steering control. The car had been leaking power steering fluid, which was not the diagnosis Steve had given me at the time. Unfortunately, they have lost a long time on/off customer.
