Everything is kept nice and clean in there. The items also seem to rotate (as to what is on display). I was told they have a website as well. Im so glad they have an online store option too! I will definitely be ordering some things from them in the future. :)

A perfect store for any Japanophile that finds themself in Princeton, NJ instead of Tokyo or Osaka…read more They sell everything from chopsticks, matcha whisks, and furoshiki gift wrapping cloths to puzzles, ceramics and phone/book stands. A perfect example of lots of things that I want and almost nothing that I NEED. But that makes it such a fun shop and kind of perfect for gifts!  The store is so well laid out that even with so many small and little things out on display, it is still somehow not overwhelming or messy. I've stopped in a few times and either myself or the person I am with needs to get one or two things. On my last visit, I finally caved and got myself an actual matcha whisk and stand, so no more coffee frothing (or subpar matcha making) for me. I've also gotten a really beautiful and sleek pair of chopsticks before, and have my eye on a few other things that I will save for future visits.  The woman that is usually there behind the register is kind and polite without making you feel like you need to get something. In fact, she really is the opposite of some shops that are on top of you as you browse and walk around.  It is on the expensive side. The whisk and stand came out to $30+, but where else do you find such a unique and curated store? Worth it every once and awhile, I'd say.  Happy shopping!

I purchased a set of silverware from Kitchen Clique and it was my first order. I had made a special request and they actually contacted me by phone and email to confirm the order and my request which was granted. The amount of order and shipping update messages were clear and efficient, as well. There's something speical about this store and the team that are running it. I'm sincerely impressed!

I tried several stores beforehand (this is during Xmas rush) such as Williams-Sonoma, Zabar's and Bloomies, and they either had one but none of the others or nothing at all. Kitchen Clique had them all in stock ready for sale. I mentioned before that the place was a mess and in retrospect it's a bit harsh considering their circumstances. For all the stock they have the space available is small so naturally when one tries to fit all of his possessions in a studio apartment you're place is going to look cluttered regardless. They keep the fast moving stuff on display and the high ends stocked away for their online sales. Online is actually what they specialize in. Kitchen Clique is a great store and like I said before they will get it for you if they don't have it in stock.
