Not a fan! Although to be fair (reason for 2 stars), we never had him do anything too intense. The work he did for us is his bread and butter, like carb tune ups, valve adjustments, and getting a couple older bikes running. Shane loves to talk the talk but his bread and butter work is definitely not up to this ultra high standard that he has when he posts on his facebook page. From those posts alone, I would think he does good work if you're going for a full engine rebuild or something like that.
When Shane had our bikes, he constantly delayed the pick up appointments and put a gnarly ding in the paint on an originally painted tank from 1974, which he then proceeded to give back to us with no repair done to it on his behalf. That alone kind of signaled to us that it was time to be done with this mechanic, then when asked about the chipped paint, and he didn't take any responsibility for it. Also when our new mechanic opened up both of our bikes this week, he found the same type of laziness inside that Shane posts about others on his FB page.
For his sake, I hope he gets his act together, but for your sake, I hope you catch on to the BS before we did. read more
