And I love that's he a young entrepreneur, and he's doing a practical job to fix things with his hands to help support himself/ his family and help reduce waste in our disposable mindset culture. And when you talk to him, it becomes clear that he has a generally good attitude and is customer-service oriented. I also greatly appreciated that he was patient with the extra time it took me to take the info he gave me and research more, and ask more questions, etc., to make sure I felt comfortable with the work that would be done, and the end price of $120ish was pretty reasonable, in my opinion, to repair a 10-year old Briggs and Stratton mower engine that had started leaking oil profusely when running and hot. I and my children have now used it a few times to mow the yard and it's working great! it seems a little harder for me to pull the starter cord than it did before, but it could just be me, because the children didn't say anything about anything being challenging in any way. They zipped right through mowing like they usually do. He gave me a heads up that he was in the middle of working on a side by side or something when I dropped it off just before July 4, so it took him a few days to give me an initial estimate. Then it took days before I got back to him with the holiday and visiting my mom elsewhere and everything. once I felt comfortable and paid Sam for the invoice, which he sent electronically through email, it was only a few more days before he told me it was done. A few other places I called were booked out at least a couple weeks before I could even drop it off, and it got checked out and repaired while I was elsewhere, so I wasn't home to mow anyway. And other places' hourly shop rates were definitely more! The whole experience was MUCH better than throwing away an inexpensive and repairable mower and then buying a new mower for 3 or 4 times the price of what I paid for repairs or for that mower when it was new, especially when a new main gasket and new spark plug and sharpened blade breathed new life into my current (basic but reliable) Weed Eater brand mower (yes they made a mower back in the day lol!!!). I had just barely changed the air filter so that wasn't needed. Sam answered all my concerns and gave me time to research others' use or not of RTV on the gasket, explained how his invoicing and payment processes worked in advance, etc. and I got it back cleaner than it's looked in years lol. Overall positive experience and I'll definitely take that or another mower to him in the future for repair or maintenance!

I could not trust anything their shop manager Shane Rolph said. Throttle Works is the most unprofessional shop I have ever worked with. Their lies and deceitfulness have no end. Upon picking up my vehicle they tried to power wash all the dirt and grime they allowed to accumulate on my 70' Chevelle. There was dirt and wash marks all over my car. They put wood blocks back in instead of my front springs, then didn't tighten or check the lug nuts on my wheels. I took several off with my hands after doing another inspection. ***I took them to small claims court in order to finalize this shit show. Also, Don texted me and said I could bring it in sooner than origianlly scheduled. Don will pick up your machine at your house if you want, but I chose to bring it in myself.
