Well - I am a girl of my word. When my now husband proposed, one of the first phone calls I made was to Morgan at Spreading Lovely. Morgan is EXCEPTIONAL at what she does. From the moment I hired her, I already felt a sense of peace knowing that I had the best possible person in place to execute my wedding to perfection... Morgan and her team did exactly that. Morgan was hired for month of coordination services. From our first meeting it was clear that her primary goal was to make and keep me happy - I felt her genuine care and concern around every detail. She was so "locked in" at that meeting that it was clear NOTHING would slip through the cracks. Through the entire experience, it felt like I was working with an absolute pro and also a genuine friend. Morgan always had my interests and well-being in mind and knew exactly what to do in every scenario. Morgan went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my day was special, flawless and exactly what I was dreaming of. I am forever grateful to Morgan and her team. They gave me the greatest gift of all - the ability to LET GO. As an admitted control freak and professional wedding planner - handing over your day to someone else to run with is scary. Well... not with Morgan at the helm of the ship. When the day of the wedding came, the unthinkable happened - I did not worry about a single detail. If you knew me, you'd realize what an insane feat this is. This is the true testament of Morgan and her greatness. If you are looking for a wedding planner that is equal parts professional, bad ass and kind - look no further then Morgan Miller!

After interviewing a ton of other planners and partial planners that all seemed to blur together, talking to Morgan was like talking to a friend. She has a calm demeanor, but you can see she has a passion for what she does and excitement she brings to all of her clients. That passion was evident throughout the entire process and her calmness was such an asset when any issue or stress-point would come up. The entire process was a joy, which I know is not the case in wedding planning so often. Morgan was able to create a design brief from our all-over-the-board style to a cohesive look and feel for the wedding that was even more beautiful than I could have imagined, but still felt so us. She helped us find rentals for what we could rent and pointed us in the direction for the cheapest options to buy other items which was so helpful. The end result was not only stunning, but more importantly stress-free for us and our parents which was the most important thing we wanted out of a planner. Numerous guests, after-the-fact, commented how all of us just looked so happy and stress-free. Guests pick up on that, and they were totally right - we were able to completely enjoy ever minute of the wedding weekend. Both my husband and I cannot say enough good things about Morgan. Hire her today - you will not regret it!

From start to finish, their team was professional, responsive, and incredibly detail-oriented. They understood the stakes of a high-visibility screening and executed flawlessly--crisp sound, clean projection, and a seamless setup that allowed the audience to stay fully immersed in the film. What really stood out was their calm, solutions-oriented presence onsite. Live events always come with moving parts, and Verducci handled everything with ease and confidence, making our team feel fully supported. They were collaborative, respectful of the space, and clearly invested in the success of the event--not just the tech. If you're looking for an A/V partner who is reliable, thoughtful, and truly knows how to show up for community-centered and high-profile events alike, Verducci Events is it. We'd absolutely work with them again.

Those details were a major reason I chose to pay for that particular suite. When I arrived, I was informed the suite had been oversold and I was placed into a different suite that did not match the room I reserved or the amenities advertised online. To be fair, I tried to stay understanding and keep a positive attitude during the stay. At checkout, I was told management would work with me to make things right and that I should follow up with the General Manager. Unfortunately, after four emails, multiple follow-up attempts, and two weeks of waiting, I have received no meaningful response from management. Mistakes can happen in hospitality, but ignoring a guest after promising a resolution is disappointing, especially when a premium room was booked specifically for its advertised features. I'm leaving this review mainly because the lack of communication and accountability after the stay has been far more frustrating than the original issue itself.

If you've ever fantasized about spending the night in a Bernard Maybeck structure here's your…read morechance. The Faculty Club, on the UC Berkeley campus, was designed by the legendary Berkeley architect and is many things to many people. Most notably, it's: * A place to eat and drink; * A venue to rent out for events; and * A place to spend the night. I ate and drank there* but I also spent the night there and that's the reason for my 3-star rating and the focus of this review. The Faculty Club rents out rooms, some with private bath and some with communal bath, all situated along a long hallway up a set of stairs. If you've drank too much below, are in town to visit a student at UCB, or are just hankering to spend the night on campus it's not a bad option. The rooms for rent are functional (not fancy) and clean (but not new). "Utilitarian" is an apt description. A friend and I stayed in a room with 2 beds and its own bathroom and shower at a cost of $215. Rooms with shared baths are (obviously) less and an additional $15.40 will buy you a parking pass valid until 2 p.m. the following day at a nearby, on campus lot. I don't track the cost of lodging in the Bay Area but this rate seemed reasonable, especially considering the inclusion of a continental breakfast for 2 the following morning. Before falling asleep the night of my stay my friend wondered whether the Campanile's toll would wake us. Fear not; it didn't. Instead, 52 beeps from a garbage truck backing up was followed by the crash of glass recyclables being collected, all before sunrise. So, be sure your room is on the west side of the building if you desire a quieter experience. I can't imagine returning for an overnight here but I'd certainly be comfortable recommending it to others. It was fun and serene to step outside in the morning, right onto the beautiful Faculty Glade of the UCB campus. I can well imagine others enjoying the reasonably-priced experience. * Food and drink are reviewed under Faculty Club Kerr Dining Room

I tried to embrace the history and think of all the families and students who have stayed here over the years, and that worked somewhat. I did have a good stay and ultimately enjoyed my room for what it was. Things to know: - The building is challenging to find and GPS is marginally helpful. - There was no place available to park to check-in so I had to risk it and park in a 30 minute loading zone up the hill. - It was hard to find the right door to get the lobby - no helpful signage at all. - After checking in you have to navigate to one of the parking lots they allow you to park in, which is not right at the Club. - You have to navigate your way back to the place after parking - I was lugging my bags. - You have to lug your bags up a significant flight of stairs to get to the rooms - no elevator. - The rooms are like an old cabin - not updated, dark wood, very basic accommodations. - If you get a room with your own bathroom, the bathroom is tiny with nowhere to set your toiletries or even hang your hand towel. - The bed is just okay - nothing like nicer hotels. The bedding is very thin and looks like something you'd find in a Motel 6. They could at least give you a nice mattress and comfy bedding even while keeping the basic/historic look of the rooms. - There is a flatscreen tv, but it's small and uses Dish network - remote is somewhat confusing. - There was a small fridge, but it wasn't plugged in. - There was a glue trap for rodents in my room which didn't instill confidence. Some positives: - The room was very spacious and had a high ceiling. Although it felt very old, it was clean. - The windows open wide letting in a nice breeze and adding a serene feel. - The price is reasonable in my opinion. - The atmosphere is relaxing and the area is safe. - The restaurant has good food and also reasonably priced in my opinion. - Free breakfast.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Andrea for an extravagant, Wicked-themed birthday celebration at the Grand Bay Hotel in San Francisco. As a DJ, I've been part of my fair share of complex productions--but this event? This one had layers. We're talking immersive design, multiple performances, theatrical moments, choreographed timing, lighting cues, and the kind of attention to detail that would make Broadway stage managers sweat. And yet--through every twist, change, last-minute curveball, and behind-the-scenes chaos--Andrea stayed calm, composed, and genuinely joyful. That smile never left her face. It wasn't just impressive; it was inspiring. What struck me most was Andrea's emotional intelligence and natural leadership. She wasn't just checking off a list--she was reading the room, checking in on vendors, comforting the family, and still had the foresight to ensure every beat of the evening landed with intention. For us as DJs, a successful event relies heavily on the planner's clarity, timing, and communication. Andrea excelled at all three. Her cues were crystal clear, her flexibility never compromised the bigger picture, and her collaboration felt seamless. It's rare to find someone who can hold both the creative and logistical sides of event production in perfect harmony. Andrea is that rare gem. And beyond the work, there's a real human connection there--a warmth that draws people in, makes vendors want to go above and beyond, and creates the kind of synergy that guests can feel, even if they don't see it. After this event, I'm not only grateful--I'm inspired. I genuinely hope to work with Andrea and Mia Emma Love Events more in the future. I believe that if we continue to collaborate, we could create experiences that are unforgettable, meaningful, and consistently next-level. Andrea, thank you for the trust, the kindness, the professionalism, and for being exactly the kind of event partner every creative hopes for. I'm honored to have been a part of this one--and I'm already looking forward to the next. With deep appreciation, DJ Brandon Beach

The membership pricing is a good deal from the local spots weve been to.The facilities are fairly clean and they have a restraunt on site called the Overlook. We ended up grabbing some burgers and fries from there. Pretty solid food. Two burgers and an order of fries and tip came to $50. The course is definitely not for beginners. I had a hard time hitting from even the junior's section so i sorta gave up. Apart from that though my biggest complaint would be for the way they upcharge. They didn't honor afternoon pricing and tried to upcharge on the golf cart. It was ~$76 for me (non-member) and ~$52 for my husband (member) for a Saturday afternoon tee time plus another $40 ($36 for members) for the cart rental. Unfortunately, I didn't even end up playing because the course was too hard for me so it was a waste of money for me to just sit in the cart. The other downside was that it took 6.5 hours to get through this course because of all the wait times. It should've been less than 4 hours. So i wasn't much of a happy camper in the cold. Lesson learned- wear more layers. We still come back for the driving range. I may send my husband off to play on the course until I can get better at hitting the distance.
