I definitely recommend seeing him for your issues! Booking online was super easy and I could get appointments within a week. Ki is seriously the best! Last year I started having pain in my left hip and lower back (I suspect…read morefrom sitting too much at my desk job). A massage therapist told me I had a tight piriformis muscle but I didn't know exactly how to address it, except with short-term pain relief. Even though I have insurance, I came to Opus Physio because I wanted someone really great, who would work with me one-on-one in every single session. In my initial assessment, Ki quickly zeroed in on the fact that I had a muscle imbalance where my left hip muscles were weaker, causing the piriformis muscle to work too hard and start acting up. Over the next few months, he helped me bring my strength back up on my left side so that it is comparable to the right, and I haven't had any pain since. Ki is super knowledgeable, kind and patient. I felt like I could ask him any question and his explanations were always very thorough. He helped trouble-shoot any other issues that came up as I went through the exercises. When my treatment ended, I felt like I was equipped to maintain the improvements I had made and go on to have a normal workout routine. I highly recommend Ki if you're looking for someone who can diagnose you right away, create a tailored treatment plan and is attentive to you in every session. If I ever have any issues in the future, I will definitely come back to Opus Physio.

She was very welcoming and helpful in working out a good time to come in for an initial consultation. When I came in Deena asked me about the injury and listened patiently to my "theories" and concerns about it. She then suggested several exercises and movements for the finger and the reasons behind them, many of which were brand new to me and fascinating - e.g. that scar tissue can sometimes fuse with tendons but that carefully directed massage can unfuse them (had No idea...). I had forgotten to mention in our initial phone call that I also had a groin pull and she again gave me some thoughtful suggestions to follow for that. (We had a shorter session because I had arrived quite a bit late (!) and her next appt was waiting). The useful information, and perhaps Most importantly, peace of mind I received in talking to her was invaluable and "would" have been well worth the hourly rate but when I inquired about the best way to pay her she informed me that she was "gifting" the session to me - a very unexpected and generous act. All I could say was that I would "pay it forward"... (perhaps it goes against discretion/etiquette to share that Deena has a positive and real manner, she listens easily and gives thoughtful, in-depth and informed advice. I absolutely recommend her.

For example, I woke up this past Sunday morning with pain and immobility on my right shoulder. I tried massage Monday morning and that helped during the day but the pain and immobility resumed Monday night. I saw Dr Colin Tuesday afternoon and it made a world of difference. I am pain free and physically feel lighter. I have full mobility back. He did this through adjustments, tissue work and mobilization. I truly believe that preventative care with Dr. Colin has helped prevent many injuries. Dr. Colin is very kind, genuine and caring. Thank you Dr. Colin for all you do to keep me healthy and active in my martial arts and strength training!

That's when my daughter and I found Dr. Colin Miller, Ph.D., who made time to get me in within a week. Dr. Miller was very familiar with I-T Band Tendonitis and treated my leg with deep massage and stretching of the hamstring muscles during one-hour sessions. After eight weekly sessions, I was completely cured and walking without pain or stiffness. Affable and committed to the patient's well-being, Dr. Miller is a gift to our Berkeley/Oakland medical community. A five-star physical therapist. -Chuck Farnsworth, Berkeley.
