Although we didn't try the water slide because we were visiting only for a swim meet, the facility had kiddie splash pool and a wading area to provide plenty of options for a wide age range of swimmers. If you get some deja-vu when you visit, that might be because Morristown's Streeter Swim Pool and changing rooms appear to share the same exact layout. (Why build one when you can build two at twice the price!) The Ginty Pool has a decent number of trees on one side that provide welcome shade, and it also has an excellent snack bar with chicken tenders that earned rave reviews from our two little swimmers. The line for food can get long when it's really busy, but the large servings of homemade lemonade and the variety of snacks and frozen treats make it worthwhile. The burgers also looked amazing, though we didn't have the chance to try them.

From the main, 10-lane, Olympic-sized competition pool to warm-up lap and training pools, there's a range of programs and facilities for a wide variety of skill levels. We visited recently for the Rebels Meters Mania swim meet, and one of the highlights was the digital scoreboard, which displayed each swimmer's name, lane and heat time. I was also amazed to see the meet livestreamed on the event's YouTube channel, which allowed for distant family members to watch our kids swim. The only downside was the ear-splitting dance music blared at the audience before and sometimes during the meet, which triggered my Apple Watch high-decibel alert. Attending a swim meet shouldn't put one's family at risk of hearing loss. Swim meets are naturally loud events, with concrete and water surfaces exhibiting maximum acoustic reflective properties, so there's little reason to add to that characteristic. Watch from the upstairs viewing rooms or bring ear protection, and consider keeping small children at home, in order to protect from the nightclub-like audio environment.

They keep it fun, but it's also challenging and helps them improve their times. The coaches are very encouraging and teach good technique. And the team is very friendly, so they love going to practice and to meets to hang with their friends and try to get best times & win relays etc.. Highly recommend it. We had my younger (5 year old) son doing Clinics there and he improved dramatically as well. They even let him participate in a meet there, and he loved that. And all of the older, more experienced swimmers, cheered for him as he swam down the pool as a beginner swimming a 25 butterfly. It was awesome, and shows how friendly and encouraging the culture is there. Highly recommend to swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Even when freezing my membership during Lockdown and other times i couldn't afford it between gigs. Sure they inadvertently overcharged me for seven months recently by accident (and I didn't follow up) but it only amounted to $200 or so dollars total. So i asked myself: when does life become more important than money? Here. And the monthly charges are indeed hefty but I've never had a run in with rude employees, busted or rude employees of contract switcheroo's - all of which you find at other gyms. So i look at this way: as we get older, we exercise or we're going to have problems sooner. I'm past the old fifties and this could be my last active decade. Our phones are softening us up and not for good but there's also age so why not go out spinning, lifting and grinnin'! And another positive observation, Ace - how they do it here - I can't tell you but daily, they're mixing kids, adults, the elderly and every stripe of our cultural landscape together under one roof without any apparent issues at all. That alone is worth whatever they charge. We could all learn from this. Reminds me of my beloved Denmark. Normalcy, kindness and respect. It's nice to go to a place that's as much Peace Time as Exercise Time which of course makes Lifetime. Yes it's not cheap but if you want cheap, you become cheap. And investment here isn't subject to risk. You know those annoying brokerage or investment caveats? Not here: you put in the lifetime, you extend the life. However, if you come on a weekday the waterslide is closed. The pool area is 5 stars on weekends. However, the bar/cafe opens late on weekdays. They don't permit you to bring any outside food or beverages in but they also don't sell any on weekdays. I asked if I could have room service bring food and drink to the pool and I was told no. So if you're looking to enjoy the pool and a drink, make sure to do it in a weekend.
