I responded saying I felt this was a bit unprofessional as it hadn't answered any of my questions and lengthy email id taken the time to write. He completely went off sending me a paragraph full of exclamation marks about how I can't answer a simple question etc. Felt very aggressive and rude.

He didn't want to take the bottom of my bed because it took up too much room but I said he had to take it. I told his assistant that my bedroom rug had to go down first before the bed in the new place but they didn't even take the rug so I had to donate a $1000 rug to a thrift store. Nol kept saying it's my fault because I have too much stuff! He left all my storage shelves and end tables so at my new place I had nowhere to put things, Most of my kitchen things were left behind, all my coats and most of my clothes., and chairs etc. He was upset that i didn't pay him the balance but I told him I'd pay the rest when he brings the rest of my things. he kept complaining I didn't appreciate him enough! BTW, my brother-in-law helped with the move into my new place so he had an unpaid full time helper! He was supposed to meet with my friend 4 days later at the old place to assess what needed to be brought but I cancelled it because I didn't have time to check back to decide. For sure the bedroom rug couldn't come now and I was tied up trying to deal with things here and no storage to put things and coping without needed supplies. He went into a rage and sent an email saying he was all set to see the rest of my stuff but I cancelled that! So then he was so put off that he cancelled talking to me anymore. He said it was real SHITTY to not just pay what was owing and to hold as ransom! ...How dare I do that! I had zero clue! He said I was the worst! That I cared zero about others and was very selfish! He wished he never had helped and someone else came in and wrecked my stuff etc etc! Darn it. What could have been! All his helpers think I am a piece of crap please know. This is not a professional person. No way could I have him deliver the rest of my stuff after a message like THAT! He would damage it or hold me ransom for whatever he wanted .It took me 6 weeks to find another mover who would take a small job at a reasonable cost. Nol lost $1000 for work he didn't do.... it ended up costing me another $2400. I found out later that HE IS OBLIGATED BY LAW TO DELIVER THE REST OF MY THINGS. Terrible communication. On request multiple times I was told they would be there on the move date…read morebut no actual email of confirmation. I was initially hiring this company to load our moving truck. However I also asked for a quote to do the actual move to another province. Multiple calls and texts I was told the quote was sent via email and not to worry they would be there on the move date. James told me sorry he hadn't sent it yet on multiple occasions because he had been busy with family in town, not in the office, etc. I continued to give him the benefit of the doubt. I finally gave up asking for the moving quote after three weeks of back and forth with James. I rented a U-haul and had there Pack Rat movers load the truck. I was referred to this company by my neighbour. In hindsight looking back she was doing a relative easy move consisting of boxes. Our move however included antique furniture, Pottery Barn furniture, Large glass mirror, and other delicate items. I had blankets ready and multiple times mentioned they could help themselves. As the move took place my dad and I continued to work in the house getting things ready and organized. The movers were respectful and polite. There were no issues there. Fast forward to unloading the truck. I also hired professional movers to unload the truck. As time went on and we discovered how things were packed on the truck it was with great disbelief. No blankets were used on anything. The movers were shocked to see how things were placed and packed together and the discovery of damage ensued. I have since reached out to James the very next day after we used Pack Rats services and sent pictures. He requested more pictures and said he would speak with his boss and get back to me on July 5th. I followed up and again explained how disappointed I was with no communication or compensation. There has been no return call or text on behalf of the company. Upon further investigation I found another customer who had a similar experience on the better business bureau. I really didn't want to have to write this review but after the lack of unprofessionalism by this company I felt it was right. Very disappointed.

I went with Oxi Fresh because their website promised quick drying (1 1/2 to 2 hours) time and…read moreguaranteed carpets would not be crunchy. I was concerned about that because this was the first time my carpet would be cleaned. The fellows' showed up on time and worked quickly. However, the carpet took almost 8 hours to dry and it was very crunchy. The way they "clean" is to spray the carpet with a cleaning solution and then go over it with a machine with rolling brushes to scrub the top layers of the carpet. It will pick up hair and some lint but it picks up absolutely no water or dirt or anything else. So, nothing is being taken out of the carpet it is really only spread around. Also, the rollers seem to be really hard on the finish of the carpet. I called the company and they said the worker must have used too much cleaner and they would come out the same day and do an "extraction". I did ask about this and expected a machine something like a steam cleaner to flush the soap out of the carpet. So the fellow came the same day and redid the entire apartment using the same system only just water instead of adding the cleaning solution. He told me it would take the soap out of the carpet. He spent a lot of time going over and over the carpet and while it was still wet it did feel a little softer. Again it took 8 hours to dry properly. The next day the carpet texture is somewhat better than the first go around but still feels crunchy. Also, the cleaning machine left some black marks on my baseboards and pulled up some of the carpet at the transition into the kitchen. The finish on my carpet is also ruined. What still looked like a new carpet before cleaning now look like a 25 year old carpet. So, the bottom line is, if you want your carpets cleaned, meaning you want the dirt out of your house instead of just smeared around, go with another type of cleaning. On the upside: After called and speaking with the owner again they did refund my money in full.
