Aggressive and unprofessional to deal with. I sent a lengthy email outlining what we had, dates and questions for the quote. Got a curt lower case response that didn't answer any of my questions, only asking whether id be organized. I responded saying I felt this was a bit unprofessional as it hadn't answered any of my questions and lengthy email id taken the time to write. He completely went off sending me a paragraph full of exclamation marks about how I can't answer a simple question etc. Felt very aggressive and rude. read more

Nol reviewed my house 6 weeks before my move but when he came on moving day he had a Budget Rental truck and it was too small. He left 1/4 of my things behind. He didn't want to take the bottom of my bed because it took up too much room but I said he had to take it. I told his assistant that my bedroom rug had to go down first before the bed in the new place but they didn't even take the rug so I had to donate a $1000 rug to a thrift store. Nol kept saying it's my fault because I have too much stuff! He left all my storage shelves and end tables so at my new place I had nowhere to put things, Most of my kitchen things were left behind, all my coats and most of my clothes., and chairs etc. He was upset that i didn't pay him the balance but I told him I'd pay the rest when he brings the rest of my things. he kept complaining I didn't appreciate him enough! BTW, my brother-in-law helped with the move into my new place so he had an unpaid full time helper! He was supposed to meet with my friend 4 days later at the old place to assess what needed to be brought but I cancelled it because I didn't have time to check back to decide. For sure the bedroom rug couldn't come now and I was tied up trying to deal with things here and no storage to put things and coping without needed supplies. He went into a rage and sent an email saying he was all set to see the rest of my stuff but I cancelled that! So then he was so put off that he cancelled talking to me anymore. He said it was real SHITTY to not just pay what was owing and to hold as ransom! ...How dare I do that! I had zero clue! He said I was the worst! That I cared zero about others and was very selfish! He wished he never had helped and someone else came in and wrecked my stuff etc etc! Darn it. What could have been! All his helpers think I am a piece of crap please know. This is not a professional person. No way could I have him deliver the rest of my stuff after a message like THAT! He would damage it or hold me ransom for whatever he wanted .It took me 6 weeks to find another mover who would take a small job at a reasonable cost. Nol lost $1000 for work he didn't do.... it ended up costing me another $2400. I found out later that HE IS OBLIGATED BY LAW TO DELIVER THE REST OF MY THINGS. We hired Nol for our local move based solely on his reviews and, while his crew (Pete, Alex and Jane) were amazing and did a great job, our experience with Nol himself was unsatisfactory. During the loading of our container, Nol did not do a pre-load survey and so had no idea what the job would entail or plan for an efficient load. When questioned about a particular item being loaded in such a way that it would waste space and impede other large items fitting in, Nol laughed and said "I know best - I've been doing this for years". In the end, the container was only filled to about 60% capacity as confirmed when it was picked up by Terry from Big Steel Box who remarked that it was "surprisingly light". Ultimately, we had to rent a truck and storage locker to handle the items Nol could not fit in the container. Unlike other customer reviews that said he treated their furniture "like it was his own", that was not our experience at all. Only a very few pieces of furniture were wrapped at all and none completely, resulting in several pieces of furniture being badly damaged, some beyond repair, and demonstrating very poor packing and loading technique. Upon unloading on 30 June, Nol and his two person crew took only 2 hours. When we discussed payment, we told him that, unlike the loading job 2.5 weeks earlier, for which he was paid within 24hrs, we were unlikely to be able to pay that day or possibly even the next as we had yet to set up our internet access. He replied that that was fine, adding that he'd be too busy the next day (Canada Day) to check anyway. On Canada Day, my wife received a text from Nol claiming that the amount he had stated that we owed for the previous day was too low as he had used an incorrect hourly rate. Upon reviewing our notes, we determined he was correct and so had no issue with the higher amount. He also said that the hourly rate is charged in four-hour blocks. This four hour minimum charge was new information that was never mentioned previously, nor did it appear on his website. So with no prior discussion, we suddenly owed twice the amount that we had agreed. He did however offer a $50 discount if we promised to write a good review. At around 9pm that evening, he texted again stating, "never heard back but hope to connect mon or tues then", followed immediately by, "please do reply though monday so i dont have to chase" and "U said u would send sat is thing". Insinuating that my wife was a liar and a cheat who is a risk for delinquent payment was simply too much after a couple of very long, stress-filled days and she freely admits that she responded brusquely. But she was then subjected to a series of texts from Nol that attacked her personally and were unprofessional in the extreme. The next day, when we had restored internet access, we paid the doubled fee as we simply weren't interested in either prolonging communication or dealing with further harassment from him. In summary, Nol's crew was great, however his lack of skill in packing/loading added considerable but needless additional expenses for a truck and storage locker rental, and furniture repair/replacement, as well as doubling the charge for unloading. But most egregious of all is his exceptionally unprofessional communications which were entirely unwarranted and insulting. We will never do business with Nol again. read more

This moving and packing business claims to move your possessions "break free". When they do break things -and they do- they blame their client and take no responsibility for breaking valuable items. Also, very rude and judgemental owner and employees. Thumbs down!!! read more

Nol responded to my request for a move quickly. His terms were fair. His team was excellent. Nol, himself makes excuses for all damage that is done, (floor scratches) and can be pretty insulting criticizing how things were left to move (like a swing that we had only partially dissembled. We did our best - we are not movers... Items didn't always get left where we wanted them - so no final walk through. We had a wine fridge (full size) that we now have to get another mover to move since he forgot to bring an appliance mover - after being in the home seeing it and being told 2x Very frustrating. All things being equal the move went smoothly - although over two days as opposed to one. Nothing got broken - which is good. We paid his bill for the first move when he gave us the invoice. We told him we'd pay for Sunday when they were done but he said he needed to work out the bill. He sent it the next morning Monday around 8:45 - by 11 am we were getting threatening and harassing texts and emails from him. Calling us 'ignorers and telling us we are not 'nice'. Said he had to block both our numbers so he wouldn't get 'peed off' and would be emailing us to 'avoid taking action'... Unprofessional, rude, aggressive and uncalled for. We are talking about $1,000 moving bill that would have been paid before end of the day. Not a great feeling and incredibly unprofessional. When we e transfered the funds we got a "FRAUD Alert" notice on our text from TD Bank and are now trying to figure out why by calling the bank. read more

They did an excellent job; it was a smooth unload and went quickly. They unloaded and put items where I needed it. I would recommend them.
