The moving job involved dropping off items at a second address and then carrying on to take the bulk of the items to a storage facility. Our moving job was underestimated because there was so much prep work for Ben, Daryle and Riley to do - packing TVs and framed pictures, shrink wrapping and padding furniture, moving very expensive items and multiple large mirrors. They had to wrap everything because it was raining steadily and then unwrap it when they arrived at the storage facility. The move also involved moving furniture down very long hallways to the moving truck, working with a small elevator, and requiring the ability to pack both the truck and the storage unit like a precise jigsaw puzzle with everything having to fit tightly to reach maximum capacity. Ben and Daryle had to continue on the job for many more hours than participated without taking a break just to get the job done. They were offered bottled water and were too busy working to take the time to drink it. Their hard work and ability to stack things in a miraculous fashion at the storage facility saved me from having to rent an additional storage unit to accommodate all of my furniture and boxes. That alone is a great savings to me in addition to the extremely reasonable cost that was charged by Two Small Men With Big Hearts. Ben, Daryle and Riley were just above and beyond any movers I have seen before. It was like they were wrapping their own possessions. They took great pride in their work. My husband and I hired many numerous moving companies over the last four decades (moving every two years) and Ben, Daryle and Riley were just gems, the best I've ever seen, and I have seen plenty, including other companies that had terrible customer service, movers who broke items and did not reimburse, overcharges, extremely inefficient packing methods, etc. Ben, Daryle and Riley worked non-stop. They were so professional, meticulous, friendly, and very helpful and so supportive. I am an elderly woman who lost her husband recently and only had my two daughters to assist me with this big move. Having three strong capable men taking care of the heavy lifting and moving everything for us in such a professional and caring manner was a Godsend. I'm definitely going to be recommending Ben, Darryl and Riley and the moving company Two Small Men With Big Hearts to my family and friends. My daughter is so impressed that she has already decided that she will also be hiring Two Small Men With Big Hearts for her move from Kelowna to the West Coast at some point in the next few months, and will specifically be requesting Ben for that move. Ben, Daryle and Riley were incredible representatives for Two Small Men With Big Hearts and they are to be commended for their perseverance, tenacity and work ethic in what turned out to be an extremely challenging move. We did our best - we are not movers... Items didn't always get left where we wanted them - so no final walk through. We had a wine fridge (full size) that we now have to get another mover to move since he forgot to bring an appliance mover - after being in the home seeing it and being told 2x Very frustrating. All things being equal the move went smoothly - although over two days as opposed to one. Nothing got broken - which is good. We paid his bill for the first move when he gave us the invoice. We told him we'd pay for Sunday when they were done but he said he needed to work out the bill. He sent it the next morning Monday around 8:45 - by 11 am we were getting threatening and harassing texts and emails from him. Calling us 'ignorers and telling us we are not 'nice'. Said he had to block both our numbers so he wouldn't get 'peed off' and would be emailing us to 'avoid taking action'... Unprofessional, rude, aggressive and uncalled for. We are talking about $1,000 moving bill that would have been paid before end of the day. Not a great feeling and incredibly unprofessional. When we e transfered the funds we got a "FRAUD Alert" notice on our text from TD Bank and are now trying to figure out why by calling the bank.

Terrible communication. On request multiple times I was told they would be there on the move date…read morebut no actual email of confirmation. I was initially hiring this company to load our moving truck. However I also asked for a quote to do the actual move to another province. Multiple calls and texts I was told the quote was sent via email and not to worry they would be there on the move date. James told me sorry he hadn't sent it yet on multiple occasions because he had been busy with family in town, not in the office, etc. I continued to give him the benefit of the doubt. I finally gave up asking for the moving quote after three weeks of back and forth with James. I rented a U-haul and had there Pack Rat movers load the truck. I was referred to this company by my neighbour. In hindsight looking back she was doing a relative easy move consisting of boxes. Our move however included antique furniture, Pottery Barn furniture, Large glass mirror, and other delicate items. I had blankets ready and multiple times mentioned they could help themselves. As the move took place my dad and I continued to work in the house getting things ready and organized. The movers were respectful and polite. There were no issues there. Fast forward to unloading the truck. I also hired professional movers to unload the truck. As time went on and we discovered how things were packed on the truck it was with great disbelief. No blankets were used on anything. The movers were shocked to see how things were placed and packed together and the discovery of damage ensued. I have since reached out to James the very next day after we used Pack Rats services and sent pictures. He requested more pictures and said he would speak with his boss and get back to me on July 5th. I followed up and again explained how disappointed I was with no communication or compensation. There has been no return call or text on behalf of the company. Upon further investigation I found another customer who had a similar experience on the better business bureau. I really didn't want to have to write this review but after the lack of unprofessionalism by this company I felt it was right. Very disappointed.

Aside from the fact that they did a very mediocre job, tried leaving things in my garage for me to move myself, breaking a nice lamp and suggestiong I go to the thrift store to replace it, and dragging their feet, Erwin does not live up to his promises. He asked for payment in cash and I agreed but told him I would need a receipt. He left without giving me a receipt and although I have politely asked several times, Erwin will not return calls, texts or emails. Seems to be a tax scammer. They spent 3 hours wrapping furniture which was completely unnecessary as the furniture was not expensive and this resulted in my belongings not fitting in their moving truck. Notwithstanding the ridiculous wrapping, they still managed to break things. The owner, Jake Polzin, spent the entire time screaming at his employees and deriding them. And insulting me. This is the worst moving company I have ever had the misfortune to hire.
