About 2 weeks later the car developed an oil leak from the area of the crankshaft seal and or the timing cover as well as the front valve cover gasket, all of which he had to change. I paid James 900 dollars cash and I supplied the parts needed to do the job. Now after 2 weeks of text messages and 2 or 3 phone calls to my place of employment, James said he has not forgot about me. I have now taken the vehicle to another mechanic for the repairs. This review is not about Capital Tech itself but the mechanic. I am expecting these repairs to cost another 300 to 500 dollars on top of the almost 1600 parts and labor already spent. Recently, my car started making a clicking noise, which eventually sounded like nearby construction. In a panic, I called my uncle, a mechanic, who listed off expensive possible issues. I first went to Wallace Auto Shop, nearby, since I was nervous about driving it. They quoted $900 to replace the A/C compressor. With my uncle on the phone, he suggested a cheaper fix--a shorter belt--but they refused, which is no problem. My uncle then called KisKis, and Michael assured me I could come in. Already stressed, Michael reassured me that I wouldn't leave until it was fixed. As a graduate student with tight finances, I feared the worst, but the final cost was only $165. I was so relieved, and Michael, seeing me upset, treated me like his own daughter. The kindness and service were exceptional, and I'll definitely return if anything happens to my car.
