Loved the wings! Since it was my husband's birthday, there were 71 free wings (husband's age)for family to enjoy! The Mexican Street Corn Wings (second photo) and several others were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our server SCOTT was outstanding -- friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Everything he recommended (when asked) was a hit. Menu selections were varied, and we enjoyed Salads, Steak Sandwiches, and Burgers. The tavern is decorated nicely, and the tables are spaced apart. We liked the ambiance of the place. There is an attractive patio area with tables as well. The bar area was nice with several TVs. We have been to Rusty Nail several times, and Bentley's is MUCH nicer in all aspects than its counterpart. read more

Probably the best chicken wings I've ever had in the capital region. We walked in on a Monday around 5pm to grab a quick bite to eat & were immediately able to grab spots at the bar. I'm a regular and have gone at least once a week for the past few years, usually more. It's almost statistically impossible to have had 166 positive experiences out of 166 Yelp check-ins (so far) but it's true. We've always had good, if not exceptional, service which is #1 to me. Food is consistent and tasty and I've never once returned or complained about anything I've had. Yes, granted, we may get better service because we're regulars BUT the times I've seen others act annoyed about the service it's almost always 'them', not the staff (I'm VERY aware of such things). No person/place is perfect but they are certainly up there, at least for the kind of experience I enjoy and look forward to. read more

I cannot recommend Bentley's. Staff was more concerned with picking football bets with regaulars than serving drinks or paying attention to other patrons. TVs are small and not placed well, if you are considering this spot to watch a game. read more

This place has one of the worst hostess staff I have ever seen. The place Was busy we expected to wait, but we continuously watched table after table get seated before us, we decided to just eat at the bar because the bar staff were the only ones who were able to manage a busy night. We were told 30Min wait and after 60+ min we just ordered at the bar. The "manager" said she would check to see why others were seated before us, but never returned with an answer. I get busy restaurants, and when communicated i am more than willing to wait, but the service here has a sub par, however the bartenders were great, not in a hurry to return tho... meh. read more

The night started out with prompt service, good drinks, and a lively atmosphere. Things went south when my 80+ year old grandfather on oxygen arrived. We needed an outlet for his medically necessary oxygen machine to charge. Upon asking (who I will assume was the manager) for assistance relocating to another empty table around the outside porch for access to an outlet, her initial response was "wow, you don't have an extension cord....thats poor planning". We offered to instead physically relocate the current table to another empty section of porch her words were "I won't allow that, I can't have you reorganizing my dining area". It is worth mentioning that her dining area would improve significantly with some reorganizing as tables seat people back to back with little room to back a chair out. If it weren't for my extremely patient mother having further conversation with the manager, I would have paid the tab and went to another business. The manager's blatant lack of concern or empathy for a terminally ill customer's necessities' should disqualify her from any human interaction in a professional environment. In certain circumstances her reaction could be considered illegal. 0/10 do not recommend coming here if you need any sort of flexibility. read more

Went there in April for a birthday lunch for me and our son. Was an unseasonably warm day, so we sat out on the patio. Found out quite by chance that they give you free wings for the table on your birthday. Wings were great as were the Tavern fries we added. Nice selection of on-tap beers. We went back in May for another lunch. This time we sat inside because it was too hot for the patio. Hamburgers were great. My wife had the Turkey Avocado melt. read more

Went to Bentley's Tavern for lunch today. I ordered the chicken wings, extra crispy 5 with garlic parmigiana and 5 medium. My wife ordered a Roast Beef sandwich. We were both extremely pleased with the food... the wings were crispy like I ordered and the roast beef was piled high on the sandwich. The waitress was very friendly, she liked to joke around and I gave her a run for her money! I would definitely recommend this cozy tavern where you can sit either outside or inside. This is a nice neighborhood pub. They have a good beer selection, albeit mostly "light" offering from the usual suspect breweries. But they also have a few national and local craft beers. The food selection is traditional "pub grub," but that's not a bad thing! Good burgers, wings, sandwiches, etc. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The place is nicely decorated. Bentley's is one of two local bar/restaurants in the area that offer free wings for your birthday (your age matches the number of wings you are allotted). We had a party of six, and Bentley's has a patio, and backroom to accommodate larger parties. We were seated right away. Parties larger than three can order the whole allotment of wings at one time, which we did. You can mix and match your flavors, but we opted for the hot. The wings are very tasty, they are crispy and not overly breaded like some wings. The hot sauce is just the right amount of kick. You can get bleu cheese or ranch on the side for an additional charge. Our table also ordered several orders of mozzarella sticks, macaroni and cheese, and a Reuben. My friend raved about the Reuben! For your birthday, you can purchase a buy one, get one draft beer or blue Hawaiian in a Bentley's "get bent" cup. I gave the beer to my husband, and ordered a wine for myself. Went to Bentleys a month ago. It was ok. We ask not to sit at a high top because my partner is short and they sat us in the back with the large parties which was super loud. We both order burgers they were ok and I order sweet potatoes fries with my burger and the were burnt to crisp and the served them. I had to ask for new ones by the time I got them. This was my first time at Bentley's and everything was great. The food was fantastic, the servers were attentive and the place was clean. Prices are a little on the high end, but you're paying for quality food and really nice atmosphere. Our party stopped in for my Mother's birthday which meant lots of free wings! They were delicious and the Blue Hawaiian cocktail just about knocked Mom out of her chair (she had to water it down!) The other dishes and sides were excellent as well. Ok food but the service was lacking. The waitress only came by once after taking our order. The drink we ordered needed to be remade. They only brought out a little catsup in small cups. One cup for a burger and fries that was only half filled. I asked for more and some mustard and they charged .50 for extra charging condiments. I would really give 2.5 stars if given the option. Note to business : improve service and don't nickel and dime over petty stuff when you're already getting a fair price. read more

She was in a rush for order taking and then we didn't see her again u til we asked for more dressing for my wrap (which I was charged for! Really?) I've been sitting here waiting about 10 minutes for her to process my payment. It's not busy and I feel like it doesn't matter to them if I am here or not. No smile or eye contact from the waitress. They've messed up our take out order several times and didn't even offer to fix it when I called back. Honestly, I don't really like the quality either. The Bentleys quesadillas were mostly just cheese. The fish in the fish fry was good but the cole slaw tasted weird. When we've eaten in the restaurant the service was very slow. Just came here tonight with my parents after they said how good their experience was this past Saturday. We were seated pretty quickly. I ordered the Mac N Cheese with buffalo chicken added to it. My parents ordered soups and small appetizers for themselves. My parents got all of their food way before mine. The reasoning was that they had appetizers instead of entrees. With a table no matter if it is an appetizer that someone is ordering as their meal or an entree, food should come out together. I should not have to wait about 20 minutes after they already gotten their food. Mac n cheese was cold in spots and hot in the other. If you're a gent with facial hair and want a Bloody Mary in the early afternoon, may I suggest strapping on an external catheter and getting there at 11am to anchor a spot at that busy but good-natured bar. Sports aplenty on 1.400 televisions, a menu that will not tax your holiday-addled brain (I narrowed it down instantly to two choices and from there it was a simple game of personal tic-tac-toe to make the final call), and easy access to the terlets from the massive, barn-like back room added on to accommodate groups of 8 like ours. No reservations, no need from their perspective, and good on 'em for it. Ordinarily I would light a candle and sing hosanna when presented with a sandwich containing both fried sourdough and a bit of avocado, but yesterday it was not just my head that was in pain, and my stomach could only take half of that bad boy before heartburn set in. Not a knock on the cuisine, just a reminder to know your limits around the holidays. It was July 6th the day of my birthday a party of 8 went to celebrate. It started good then went down hill, are waitress cherly F. Was rude and not to friendly. First we ordered boneless wings with mild sauce and was brought bone in and she argued with is saying we ordered bone in, and we got medium sauce instead of mild, then she cut my 36 yr old son off after 3 drinks, stated he was drinking them to fast. Then one of my guest stated I needed another drink her words were ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK I CANT SEE THREW HER GLASS . Now that was very rude. But she still got her 43.00 tip because its added in right away. No wonder why she was rude the tip was already paided. She made my birthday unpleasant...... read more

This is your average sports bar. Nothing crazy to write home about and food is average at best. However, it is close to where we live and have gone to watch football here and there. After our latest experience we will not be going back. We went in on a Sunday and as expected, it was busy for football - totally understandable that the staff is busy. As we sat in the bar, no one greeted us for over 10 minutes but several staff members walked by multiple times. Finally, I went to the host stand to get my own menus and order drinks. When our food came out the server all but dropped our food on the table and when I thanked her we received a rude, "yup". She never asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks as you glasses were clearly empty, didn't offer small plates as we were sharing a plate. Nor did she ever come back to ask how our meal was and essentially darted away so fast before I could even ask her for another beer. When it came time to pay, we were then double charged for our bill. So, over all, rude and inattentive staff who are oblivious and stand around even when it's incredibly busy and get annoyed with their patrons when they kindly ask for help because they can't be bothered to doing THEIR job. As for the food, like I mentioned before, it's average at best for a sports bar. Their "nachos" are chips that have been drowned in queso and some other fixings to then leave everything soaked in oil. Mmm, appetizing . Literally a joke, any restaurant will basically be better.
