Filet medallions with smoked gouda and mushrooms sauce, and garlic parmesan potatoes.
    Dan W.

We visited in early April on a Friday at 5:00. I was surprised it wasn't busier than it was. Our server, Sandy, was very attentive and helpful choosing our meals. My wife had the filet medallions with smoked gouda and mushroom sauce and I had the Bentley's Cut prime rib. Both were fantastic. The medallions were the off-menu special, so they are not always available. If they are, though, I highly recommend getting the prime rib and requesting a side of the smoked gouda sauce. Sandy suggested it and that combination was out of this world! I've read several reviews about the prime rib being over-done. If you are picky, I do recommend ordering one level rarer than you normally do. My medium-rare was more on the medium side than the rare. It was still great, though. I also had the French onion soup and my wife had the clam chowder. Of the two, the French onion was our favorite and it was one of the best restaurant soups either of us have had. Both meals were fantastic, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, and the overall experience will likely encourage us to take a trip back to the lake just for a meal. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time and are already looking forward to returning.

Well first, food was amazing as it always is! Service was omni present with refills and fresh bread. And the restaraunt offers a comfortable classy motif. It's a little older style but it blends their menu offerings and drinks and makes you feel like you're in the right place at the right time. Sorry I didn't take a picture of my desert, apple crisp.. was amazing. And to top it all off, I lost and could not find my phone. Back dining room. Staff and kitchen staff where great going through the areas to ensure it wasn't tossed in laundry with a roll napkin! Ended up falling out in my car and getting stuck in the NONO spot. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone looking to eat an amazing dinner at a decent price in a very nice quiet ambience.

I was on vac at the lake ozark in mo and had dinner here. I get here once a year and always have dinner here. It's a high end restaurant and great food , I had the prime rib and it was delicious. Cooked just right . The ambiance is very nice. Our waiter, Stephen was very nice and helpful. There is a great view of the lake .

Bentleys restaurant holds the spot as my favorite steakhouse in the lake of the Ozarks. The low-lit ambiance has such a nice vibe. My favorites from the menu were the french onion soup and prime rib! My boyfriend got the ribeye and lobster tails and loved it! Definitely will go back next time i'm in the area again.

Food and service were excellent. Old school steakhouse at its best. Steaks, prime rib and coconut pie for dessert. What could be better?

A solid place to stop by!…read more We came during an extended weekend trip for lunch, drinks, and the pool. We were seated pretty quickly but this place DOES fill up fast (that includes the pool). The front has a place to order different t shirts from the wall then there's a small indoor seating area and a lot of patio seating outside. We ordered the jumbo crab rangoons, jalapeno poppers, and club sandwich. Although there was a bit of a wait the food was good and had good portion sizes which helps if you're there day drinking. Our waitress was friendly and helpful although a bit on the slower side with checking in and bringing items we requested. We waited about 20 minutes to get boxes and our checks. If you walk down the stairs from the restaurant there's the gated pool area. As it was summer it was packed even on a weekday. There's bars and bathrooms right next to the pool as well as a swim up bar. This was helpful since we had to get out to order drinks we at least didn't have to go far. Although it was a nice vibe I didn't enjoy that it felt like a hot tub especially in the summer and while drinking. In knowing a large amount of ppl come for the pool I would've hoped they cooled the water down & circulated the water better. Additionally a bit of added staff or security would be helpful to ensure ppl aren't getting ridiculous. I saw someone passed out in a chair from drinking too much and someone else falling over into the chairs unable to walk because of how intoxicated they were. Ofc we're all adults and should be able to control our drinking but ppl prove that theory wrong every time. It caused a bit of an issue with ppl & their stuff being trampled by ppl too drunk to walk and no staff around to help. For those who don't know the added another add on to the location off to the right side of the property. This includes a stage for performances which is cool! Although there isn't a restaurant like there is at the main pool there are food trucks which is a cool concept to get different types of food. Overall will be back to check out the other side.

We have been several times and have literally NEVER had anything that wasn't delicious. Our favorites are the crab clusters and grouper fingers!

Beautiful spot, but $500 fine-dining prices with diner-level execution…read more Where to start. We've been coming here by boat for years. Experiences have always had up-and-down moments, but this time was disappointing because I really wanted it to be great. It just wasn't. The Good: The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and the waterfront ambiance is spot on. It's clearly the place to be at the lake--so good job on the venue. The Service & Atmosphere: Service was adequate, but far from fine dining. If you're charging premium prices, the service model needs to match. Having random runners drop food at the table without knowing who ordered what is diner or casual Mexican restaurant service, not an elegant dining experience. The new manager stopped by twice--a nice touch, until we actually provided constructive feedback. Instead of offering a remedy, he offered excuses about being new and didn't handle criticism well. The Food: Apps (Deviled Eggs & Tuna): Both looked like they'd been plated earlier in the day--they had an unappetizing "sheen" to them that made them look leftover rather than fresh. The flavor on the eggs was completely muted, and the tuna was equally lusterless. Salads: We split the Caesar, and our friends had the wedge. They were served without any offer of fresh pepper. When we flagged down a staff member, they brought out cheap grocery-store salt and pepper grinders. Later, we were told the new chef prefers not to offer pepper on the table. With all due respect to the chef: that's the guest's choice, not yours. (Side note: the wedge was tasty, but oddly wasn't actually cut into a wedge). Mains: The ladies had the Sea Bass--the dish that originally put this place on the map. It was okay, but not as good as it used to be; the new Asian flair and bowl presentation take away from what used to make it the star of the show. The pork chop was good and thoroughly enjoyed. My lasagna had a great portion size and good base flavor, but it was dry as jerky with practically zero sauce. The Verdict: The restaurant will continue to thrive simply because of its location and the lack of competing fine-dining options on the water. But when you're dropping $500 on dinner, you expect accountability and an outstanding meal. We won't be back anytime soon.
