A friend recently sent me flowers from this florist for my birthday and they were so beautiful I just had to look the shop up on Yelp. I love flowers so I have bought and received many over the years but this has got to be the most beautiful bouquet I have ever received. Not only was it tasteful and elegant, they did a wonderful job of creating an arrangement to suit my tastes (ie sophisticated goth). The arrangement is beautiful but what really made it stand out to me is the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I'm not going to go into too much detail because it would take forever but structurally they used some nifty tricks that I've never seen done before. It's obvious that there was thought put into getting each leaf and stem secured just so. They added some nice embellishments with ribbons and folded leaves too; overall its just a really beautiful arrangement and I am impressed with their work. Talk about going above and beyond, especially in the here and now?! Well! I was hoping to get some flowers for my Boo's birthday and after making a few calls to people who were genuinely disinterested and stopping in to a few shops that were not at all helpful and in total "This is what we got, you want?" mode, I made a last ditch effort before going home empty handed, called whatever shop was nearest to me on the way home and jackpot luckily got connected to Broken Willow. I just ordered flowers for my wife for our anniversary and Peggy, who answered the phone was so incredibly nice, helpful and good natured that I'm going 5 stars before my wife even gets them. She was out of the first color I wanted, but was willing to go out and get them and still make delivery today. Instead, I asked what else she could do and we worked through my wife's favorite colors and flowers (as far as I could remember, but I'm really abundantly terrible at remembering the names of flowers) until she felt she could put together something my wife would love. Unless they don't show up or aren't as nice as she described them to me, this review will stand. Also, I just want everyone t know that I remembered to order flowers for my wife on our anniversary. I hear things like - "so perfect" "stunning" "the delivery guy is so wonderful" "Flowers are BEAUTIFUL"...always such gratitude. And I've had a couple crazy instances when a client checked out of the hospital (even though she was supposed to be there for a week longer), and a client didn't answer his cell phone so the delivery couldn't happen, and the neighbors weren't around either. And in each instance, the delivery guy (Steve) has gone HOURS and MILES out of his way to make sure the flowers got delivered. To top off: the gorgeous arrangements are reasonably priced. Caroline and the rest of the staff are always warm and kind and really invested in making sure my arrangements arrive, and are exactly what I want for my clients. I called this afternoon around 1:30p local time to order a small arrangement for my best friend who just gave birth to the sweetest little boy this morning. I was hoping to find a place that could deliver same day, and wouldn't mind the fact that I had only about $50 to spend. The arrangements on their website are unique and they weren't totally focused on weddings as many of the other florists that I looked at seemed to be. The woman who took my order was very kind and patient, and excited when I told her it was for a baby congrats. Said she would do her best to get it delivered today despite having received a large order right before I called. I crossed my fingers. She had no problem creating a custom arrangement in a small cube vase for $50 - with delivery and tax it came to $70 and change. Fast forward a few hours later: I just got an email from my friend's mother saying the flowers are beautiful. Yay! I was doing some last minute flower arrangement shopping, hoping to find a place that will deliver the same day! Luckily enough, Bent Willow Florist showed up on the list. I worked with two ladies, Liane and Mary. They are some of the most caring, customer service oriented people I've ever worked with. I had called two hours before their closing, explaining to Liane how I needed the flowers to be delivered the same day and my budget. Liane was very accommodating and told me that she could put together a wonderful arrangement and have it out before they close. After about an hour, I received an email from the shop with the picture of the arrangement they put together. I told them I trusted their instincts and their expertise and surely enough, the arrangement was adorable! The driver delivered the flowers to the recipient - but she wasn't home and they didn't want to leave the flowers outside unattended, so I had asked Mary if there was anyway we could arrange for them to leave the flowers so I could pick it up. Mary had left the flowers with the next door restaurant, allowing me to pick it up and deliver them myself! Great service overall and loved how both of them were willing to work with me (even after they closed). I will definitely look to purchase more from them in the near future. read more
