I called Christian brothers Automotive and they told me to try Tires by Design. I stopped by and they inspected the tires, and told me I would need three tires as one of the rear tires was also worn enough to require changing. They did not have my Michelin tires in stock, but said they could get the tires in the morning, and call me when they received them. They told me it would take only thirty minutes to change out the tires. I checked back the next morning, and the tires were indeed delivered. I pulled in at 12:15 on a Saturday, and they immediately pulled my car into the shop. The tires were changed out and I was back on the road within twenty minutes. I went home and brought my 2005 Suburban back to have the tire sensors changed, and they did that in about twenty minutes as well. The manager and the staff were great to talk with, the service was so fast I barely had time to finish a coffee. It was the best experience I have ever had at a tire store. I heartily recommend you try Tires by Design the next time you need your tires serviced.

I went ahead and asked the Martinez brothers to Check the other tires. Make sure they were good, and was encouraging a lil extra business for them since they were kind and honest about my tire. One tire seem to have a nail in they took the tire off and checked it. And also put air in the other tires. To my surprise, Martinez refuse to take any money from me. I even tried to hand him my Credit card. I did not ask for anything free I even offered to pay, Martinez Brothers said, " hasta la otra, it's OK." And refuse to charge me a dime. These two young business men know and value of "customer service". These young business men are committed to excellence, honesty and hard work. I'm not sure who raised his kids, but props to you and I wish the Martinez Brothers a very prosperous future in their lives and business ventures. May God bless you and your business. One young man argued with me. The other lied and covered up for the team. In the end, I got denied repair work for an extremely bad overheating problem. Instead, the only solution their young team members had to offer was a radiator flush. I agreed, desperately to get started on anything to stop the overheating before it ruined my whole engine and parts. I was there for 8-hours, and the anti-freezed was exactly at the low level I brought it in at, and the oil change never got performed. They billed me $360.00 for work their work crew lied about performing. As a consequence, immediately the next day after the over-heating persisted, the heat burned through the wiring in my headlights. I had to take it into another shop for the oil change, and that shop left the oil cap partially unscrewed. Left for work the next day, and the pressure sensor sent out as a warning for no oil. Fortunately, the next place I took it to solved both issues for only $500. In the end, I spent about $8,000 because of this over-heating problem of which $1,500 was the result of Firestone's careless hiring practices. I am still trying to accumulate another $2,000 as soon as I can to repair all the latent damage to my AC compressor from the over-heating. The damage from these places is beyond excess. You cannot even repair oil stains on somebody's seat. Then, $10,000 for a customer to fix that could have been easy job, and instead was coated with lies and deception. It is sad to see such a once trustworthy place fail in trust. I have not been back since, and after reading recent reviews, I can see that I should not think about returning.

So, I went from happy, to totally pissed off to happy…read more I stopped in on Sunday and was told they had 4 tires for my Sorrento, and they could put them on Monday at 1. I also wanted an oil change. I showed up before 1 on Monday and dropped my car off. I was told about 90 minutes and we'd be good to go. I returned at 3pm. Walked in, saw my car on the lift, oil change pan under it and assumed I'd be good to go shortly. Service writer tells me he doesn't have the tires in stock. Mind you it's been 2 hours since my appointment time. I was really not happy and not very pleasant as I voiced my dissatisfaction. Manager walked over and asked what was going on, and I told him in very few words what was going on... shit show. Manager looked at the service writer and asked if they had better tires in stock, and when was told yes, he told they guy to give me the better tires. I asked how long, they told me 45 minutes. I again returned at an hour and my car was just getting finished. I told the service writer it would have been nice to get a phone call letting me know about the delay. The Manager, John, made the right call to make sure I was satisfied. I was a previous Firestone customer. I left feeling satisfied, but not happy about the initial poor customer service. Hopefully they'll fix those things going forward.

Everything else was a disaster…read more It all started when I made an appointment here the last week of May because my car was pulling to the right and I had uneven tire wear. NTB told me I needed new control arms because the bushings on mine were gone. We had them do the CV joints as well since they said those needed to be replaced. NTB calls and tells me my car is ready around 4:45pm so I have my hubby bring me up to the shop. As we are leaving (me following husband on the way home), I call husband as I'm driving and tell him I hear a clunk under the passenger side front end. He tells me we should call them when they open the next day and see if they'll double check and make sure everything is ok. I get about a mile and a half down El Dorado blvd and hear a loud pop. Then it sounds like my tire is thunking like I had a flat tire. Long story short, the bolt on my brake caliper was either not tightened or was broken when they did the control arms. My brake caliper had come off and was wedged into the rim. There's no bolt in the caliper so it was either not tightened, or they broke when they torqued it. I have it towed to NTB for the night since they were closed for the day at this point. I call them in the morning. They apologize and replace the bolt. It gets better (not actually). After the brake caliper disaster, I'm noticing the car still clunks when accelerating from a stop. A few weeks go by and I'm driving to school on Bay Area blvd and my car yanks right and I hear a god awful grinding noise. Again I put my flashers on and pull over. I call my husband and a tow truck. Apparently, the bolts in the passenger side control arm disappeared. Gone. The tire was wedged back into the wheel well. Again, I have it towed to NTB. The best response I could get from them was "we are so sorry" and "we're scratching our heads as to how this has happened" and they offer to pay for the tow and replace the bolts. At this point I can't believe my car isn't destroyed and this likely because both times I was going under 30mph. I don't want them touching my car ever again. I called Benson's to have them go over the work because NTB is going to get someone killed. NTB never offered to refund any portion of the almost 2k we paid for the work so know there's not much they'll offer besides bolts and an alignment if they mess up. I'm going to write a letter to corporate but I'm not confident that they will take any action. So, if you need anything on your vehicle repaired, go to Bensons on Hwy 3, they're amazing and thorough. Shoot, go ANYWHERE but NTB.

Then they would call me to confirm pricing before they start. I got my final pricing for brakes and ac to be fixed in the future. They told me what was priority that day and what could wait! It was more than I expected because of the parts I needed but honestly, they were quick, nice and had tons of cars they were currently working on it (from it looked like). Yeah, I could have looked up the parts and bought them myself etc. but I rather save time and pay a professional. The best part was when I picked up my girl, they had washed her inside and outside and she looked amazing! She drives like she's brand new and I can't explain how happy I am with the service!
