Cappuccino with whip cream & cinnamon. VERY NICE.

Great menu. We were here for breakfast and knew we had found a good place. Who can turn down pumpkin cinnamon French toast? P

Located at the corner of Routes 22 & 67 (West), Benson's is a decent local family diner serving up homestyle American cooking for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As you enter the parlor, there is a U-shaped counter where the locals sit and chat and there's also dining room seating on the right (seat yourself). For tall people, just be careful since the ceilings are fairly low. The place has a classic homey feel which is decorated nicely. The breakfast menu is served anytime offering eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, meats, hash browns, muffins, and more. The lunch/dinner menu offers appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, grinders, steak, chicken, seafood, pasta, comfort food (ham, turkey, liver & onions pork), salad bar, and desserts (ice cream, pies, puddings, cakes). Prime Rib is served on Fridays-Sundays while it lasts! The food is not fancy and the prices are reasonable with breakfast items under $6 and complete dinners for $7-$18. I sat myself in the main dining room and the place was filled with a lot of older graying folks. I had the special which was Honey Dijon BBQ Chicken Breast ($9.95) served with potato, vegetable, bread, and salad bar. The salad bar is small and offers lettuce, garnishes, dressings, pasta salad and tuna macaroni salad. The basket of bread with butter was served warm. The dinner arrived in about 10 minutes. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes with gravy and cole slaw were decent tasting, standard diner fare. I passed on dessert since I was planning to grab an ice cream cone across the parking lot at Benson's Dairy Bar (seasonal). The service was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place for a good homestyle meal, if you're traveling through this neck of the woods.

Ian W's review is outstanding. YES, YES and YES. Come here for all of those reasons. I had breakfast here Tuesday after Labor Day, sat at the counter surrounded by the local gentlemen, it was a fine experience. I would gladly come here again. Super friendly waitstaff, inexpensive and quick meal. It's a home run.

The Garbage Omelet at Benson's is AMAZING

Benson's is a great local diner located near Cambridge NY. I went here for the first time on Sunday for breakfast (which they serve all day) and was very happy. You can sit where eve you like when you arrive and service is prompt and courteous. Our waitress Karen was attentive and patient as we had a group eight including two small children. Food is very very good and you get a good size portion. For breakfast I went with the Garbage Omelet and it was DELICIOUS! My daughter went with a strawberry waffle and she loved it. The home-made cream on top was incredible! (Yes, I took some when she wasn't looking.) Definitely not cool whip or something out of a can. Building is somewhat dated but that didn't matter because the food and the service is great. Prices were reasonable. The omelet was just under $7 and came with two pieces of toast and hash browns that were cooked perfectly. Coffee is very good as well. I would highly recommend Benson's to anyone looking for small diner with good service and delicious food. Haven't had anything but breakfast at the diner but if it is as good as breakfast...oh man. I will be sure to come back and see for myself. They also run a small ice cream /dairy bar in a separate building which has tons of flavors to choose from and efficient service as well. There is also a small pirate ship playground here for the kids to play on.

It was the perfect setting for a memorable holiday dinner. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly, attentive service from our server, Jamie. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and rich with history, making us feel like we had stepped back in time. We started with an Old Fashioned made with Smugglers' Notch bourbon for me and a refreshing Blueberry Refresher for my wife. The homemade cranberry fritters served with Vermont maple butter were an outstanding way to begin the meal. Next came bowls of the delicious Cheddar & Ale Onion Soup, followed by the Maple Butter & Walnut Encrusted Brie served with Vermont apples and toasted baguette--an excellent combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors. Our entrees were preceded by fresh field greens salads with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, along with warm, freshly baked bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the Traditional Pot Roast--tender brisket slow-cooked in the tavern's Circa 1790 Amber Ale with rich pan gravy. My wife chose the Scrod with pumpkin seeds, butter, Chardonnay, and lemon, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully balanced. To finish, we shared the Cranberry & Apple Crisp topped with local vanilla ice cream and whipped cream--a fittingly New England ending to an exceptional meal. The combination of outstanding food, welcoming hospitality, and the unique historic atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're visiting Manchester, Ye Olde Tavern is well worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy classic Vermont cuisine in one of the state's most historic settings.

I love when local eateries are well-loved because they deserve it. 9 Miles East Farm certainly does! A lot of the folks who came in for dinner wanted to sit on the terrace to bask in the last couple of hours of sun, but being from Florida I get overdosed with that and sat inside. I'm glad I did, the playlist reminded me of a Sunday picnic without being either. However, the atmosphere felt like that, even indoors. The owner was super personable, and the server was just the right amount of attentive. I ordered the chicken piri piri, and it presented beautifully. I felt comforted by the food. The tender grilled chicken parted from the bone with a twist of my fork and the mashed sweet potato was a great partner to the savory, citrusy, and slightly spicy piri piri. Im not even a chicken thigh person, but this dish changed me. I actually felt tended to and taken care of by the food! Does that even make sense??? It did when I was eating because that's how I felt. And the crazy thing is, I've been here once before. I loved what I ate, but it didn't feel like this. It's been a rough couple of months, but after this meal and listening to the carefree, but intentional music, it lit up my mood and my spirit. This will definitely be one of my go-to's when I visit Saratoga Springs, and I highly recommend 9 Miles East Farm to anyone. I think that a lot of people feel like they're visiting a friend's place when they come here. I definitely did.

Tonight my friend and I ordered some food. I called up to get some information then I searched for their menu online. Called back and she said it would be ready in 20 minutes. It was. We ordered cheeseburgers and chicken wings. She helped me with the order set one point I was thinking ordering a steak and cheese sandwich and let me know the hamburgers were big and freshly made. They don't do rare but they did them slightly pink which I was happy with. It was a big burger. The cheese was awesome they have American and cheddar and maybe others but I got American and friend got cheddar. They were really big we both were marked on that. I made a mistake because I didn't read the menu good enough. There were no fries or chips - those are separate. I wasn't sure if I wanted boneless or regular wings I opted for regular Wings. They made them extra Saucy and extra crispy. I really like the wings. I didn't like the blue cheese sauce. One of my friends tried some of the Wings and they speculated it might have been Ranch. Roommate picked up the food and said that the bartender and several other people were there. It sounds like it is a nice neighborhood/town location. I'm definitely curious what the pizza and the Philly cheese steak taste like. I will definitely be ordering again. I was hungry and forgot to take pictures. On Monday I was hungry and there was still some wings left over and they actually taste even better cold.
