Horrible dealership. I've been trying to have my van fixed for over 6 months now. I have to do all of the follow up, and no one ever returns my calls. On top of that, the phone number on their website for Service leads to spam. I tried calling my service supervisor who sent my phone a text a handful of times at his direct number, but he never calls me back. The text line doesn't get any sort of response. On top of the sheer difficulty of even getting in to see someone, I've been to the dealership 4 times with the only result being me wasting my time. The first time they said they weren't sure what was going on, but would look into it and get back with me. They didn't for 6 months until I called again. The second time they tried rebooting the car, and said they needed to special order a part from Atlanta and they'd get it in two days and get me back online by the end of the week. They didn't. I had to call over and over again until they I guess finally listened to their answering machine, or remembered they special ordered a part, or something. Eventually they called me and we got rescheduled. I went in the 3rd time for them to spend 3 hours trying to replace the part, only to tell me they think the part they ordered is faulty. Fine, order another one and let's try again. As I'm driving home, I notice the air conditioning is only either able to blow super cold or super hot, nowhere in between. I have to turn around and bring the van BACK because they screwed something up and literally made the van worse. Thankfully they were able to repair it. All of this after having called them 3 more times to no avail, trying to figure out when I should come back in to get this part replaced. read more

Bought a used car from here, less than 2 weeks later I had to get an oil change, check on a shimmy in the steering, went to an alignment shop, was informed the front shocks were shot, the trans axle was leaking fluid. Terrible experience today at Benson Chrysler. Worked numbers with sales on new 1500, was told up front that $1000 of the rebates were tied to financing with them which was fine. Asked several times about rates, was told Finance will talk about that. When I was going through paperwork, I was showed a 6.99% rate and I told her I am not good with that, they advertise rates at 3.9% and I have impeccable credit. She brought a guy (I guess he was sales manager), he told me $5000 of my rebates were tied to this financing and he would have to remove them and he did not anything with a 3.9% rate. I took my old title and left after wasting half a day. Checked when I got home, the only rebate I see tied to financing was $1000 and I see offers at 3.9% that do not stipulate cannot be used with other incentives. Great experience when I bought my truck 10 years ago, wasted my time today. If you buy here check the numbers carefully. Front end replaced. When I picked up my truck everything seemed ok. Over a few weeks I started to get a squeak from the front end. I thought my truck was starting to have suspension issues so I took it to two shops. They looked and looked, found nothing. Squeak getting louder. I crawled under the front end and most of the bolts were loose. I was mad. I tightened many nuts and bolts over the next few days. But didn't find the loose one that was squeaking yet. It's getting worse over time. Now found the squeak just from putting pressure on the front end. I will never recommend this place. 2013 Chevy truck y'all a joke!! read more

Zero stars.... Twice we had the oil changed and a five tire rotation on our Jeep. Recently we were pulled over by another driver to alert us about a tire wobbling. Found three rubber washers that go between the spare and spare mount. This could have been very dangerous. Twice they've moved this tire around and didn't see it. Pitiful service dept! The part was under warranty, but they didn't even inquire about it. They just wanted to overcharge for their work. So had to take my 2015 Jeep renegade into Benson Jeep, Chrysler dodge..First they left water all in the floor board.. Vehicle was turned in with over 3/4 of a tank of gas and 18672 miles.. Picked up $$451.66 and a half tank of Gas.. I have mechanics that have worked on my vehicles previously and never have they had to test drive it for 42 miles and over a quarter tank of gas!! Purchase a used car from Benson on Wade Hampton Blvd back in November of 2022. I was sold Insurance that I specifically told the sales representative that I did not want but he said everyone got it so he charged me for it anyway. There was an agreement to repair some things on the car at time of purchase and one of the agreement's was to fix the steering that was making noise when turning. When I picked up the car from the agreed repairs I drove it and told the sales representative that steering was still making the noise. He said, well they said they fixed it. Later I noticed on the mechanics notes that he recommended that they take it to a Hyundai dealership to have the clock spring replaced but apparently they ignored the advice and just told me it was fixed. I don't live in the area but made a call to this dealership to try and get an appointment with 4 days advance notice. They were unwilling to help out at all . Called the manager and found out they were letting someone else test drive the car the next day despite me saying I was ready to purchase the day before. Very dishonest dealership. We inquired about a pre-owned Cadillac, got the price, then drove 2 hours to the dealership. We decided to trade, which took 3-4 hours(no excuse for that anywhere) and they raised the quoted price by hundreds. I can't believe they sold the truck out from under me. I found a truck online yesterday and contacted the internet sales department to get an out the door price less some discount they offered from a coupon code I received on line which they wouldn't share with me. I then proceeded to complete a credit application and they let me have my credit pulled 4 times to secure financing. I received approval from USAA last night for 3.49% which was ~2% better than the rate they quoted me. Also, I asked for a quote in writing first thing this morning to make sure the collateral value was ok with USAA. I waited for over 2 hours then received a text saying the truck was sold. The salesman was very condescending and Mr. Ruby, the sales manager and his co-workers were even worse. it was to the point where the salesman had brought the truck for me to see and then took it away because he didn't seem to like my attitude. This was before I even had a chance to look at it. UNBELIEVABLE and UN professional! I went down the street to the GMC dealer and had a totally different experience. That person printed out all necessary data for me for the comparisons between the Chevy product and the Dodge as far as dimensions I was looking for. My 2019 Dodge Ram with a Rambox has had 5 repairs for the same Rambox lid separating from the metal. Detroit says it is a design flaw and they keep sending the same defective parts to put on it. Chris Bensch(GM) just wants to sell me another with same issues he says at a discount and to increase my mortgage I am sure. Product design according to their repair department is the same on 2020 models. Sales guy AJ Gist has been great as well as crew (Dereck and Julie) in repair department. Upon arrival everyone seemed pretty busy and we weren't sure who to talk to, and no one acknowledged us for about 5-10 minutes....but besides that the service was great. It was my first time waiting on my car during service (I had an oil change, tire rotation and recall done) and was very pleased. I do not think I waited over an hour, plus the waiting room had complimentary coffee and snacks, so that was nice (especially since we had gone on empty stomachs in the morning!). Beware the service department. Went there for the past year because I got the 4 free oil changes. I let them rotate my tires when they suggested it. Well come to find out they were never rotated. I took them to my tire guy for another rotation and he informed me these tires had never been rotated. Which makes me wonder if they were changing my oil half the time. I know most dealerships are sketchy, I have had family who worked at them so I know the dirty tricks that go on in the service dept but its unacceptable. I will NOT return to this location for service. They are also not very friendly. Which I know most car service people always look pissed off and have the personality of a wall, but that's what you chose to do for a living. read more

ZERO STARS. Backstory, I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that needed repairs from a front end aftermarket bumper collision... in APRIL. While in body shop I was taken care of as far of means of commuting. For the several weeks???? It took to fix cosmetic damage I had a vehicle. After repairs it was driven by THEIR TEAM to service for RECALL issues. This should be protocol servicing, at one point I was told the parts would be in next year! FALSE information (or lies) was consistently given to me as far as the details and timeframe of my vehicle. NO ONE in service or repair communicated the details of the entire car issues causing unneeded delays and tremendous dragged out lies. After several months it is AUGUST NOW. I received my car. Front lights don't work, SAFTY BREAK doesn't work and the entire reason it first went to recall, passenger airbag... which now rings with nobody sitting in the car. I have reached out as far as CHYSLTLER direct, have multiple cases documents to prove how pathetic service is at this location. We even reached out to the owner who quote said "I'll listen to what you have to say if it isn't bad news." I have been without proper transportation for the entire summer while dealing with a move from out of state. When picking up the car Will our service rep over the course of the entire issue was either too embarrassed or busy to meet with us. read more

We bought a certified pre-owned Jeep Wrangler Rubicon from this Jeep dealership in July-2021; the certification wasn't worth the paper it was written on so wanted to share our experience so others can choose to buy somewhere else. I thought buying a CERTIFIED Jeep from a Jeep dealership would mean something but turns out it doesn't when buying from Benson. We were disappointed when we got home and started detailing out the jeep interior only to find that it had live roaches under the floor mats and over a gallon of rusty water sitting in the trunk area that had rotted out the stero base. This was disappointing but when we figured out a few weeks (and less than 300 miles later), after my husband started researching the ticking sound coming from the under the hood, (best heard in the garage not at the dealership lot) that it was also sold with the "pentastar tick" unrepaired. Apparently this is a known defect and part of a class action lawsuit. It can be repaired but (1) it should have been corrected by the Jeep dealership prior to certifying the vehicle and (2) you have to actually get a return phone call from the dealership to be able to have it rectified. I have left multiple phone calls for the sales manager of the pre-owned cars team and never heard a peep back. You are best served buying from someone else. read more
