We were in the middle of nowhere on the side of the interstate with two dogs in the back. We called roadside for the rental and they informed us we would need to find the next town over to stay the night as we wouldn't be able to get a replacement car until the morning. We called around Wilcox and found a hotel. Next, we had to figure out how we would get there. At this point it was almost 2 am. We called around everywhere in Wilcox with no answer. I googled the next town over and found Safe Ride taxi service out of Benson. I called and they IMMEDIATELY answered. I just about cried because I was overwhelmed and tired. They were about 45 mins away from our location, but that didn't stop them. Charlotte & Jamie were so amazing and kind! I told them that we had two dogs and they said that didn't matter. The only thing they cared about was getting to us so that way we'd be safely off the road. Jamie called to let me know she was on her way and asked if she needed to stop anywhere for food/water before heading to us. She brought us water and finally found us in the interstate. She helped us load up and off to Wilcox we went. She mentioned they typically don't drive out that way, but because of the emergency situation, they were glad to help. We explained we were on our way to CA and had no idea how/when we'd get a replacement car, so Jamie offered to drive us all the way to CA herself! Luckily, we ended up getting the replacement, but just the thought of her offering was the sweetest gesture. They made sure we were safe and were so accommodating to us. I HIGHLY recommend this business! I will never forget what they did for us! Thank you, Charlotte and Jamie!!!!!!!!

For that reason, I did a little research and found Adventure Outside to book a guided hike. This was a great plan. Ian met us at the trailhead at 9am and after brief intros, we were on our way. Ian was the perfect guide...friendly, engaging, informative and flexible. We had made good time on our hike to Bridal Falls and he was more than happy to take an alternative trail down. This added a bit more mileage, made a nice loop, and we saw the elusive Gila Monster. All the way around, it was a great last day of vacation. Thanks Ian, for giving us a fantastic experience!

As a Westerns movie and TV fan since a kid, with almost 70 years of Cowboy flicks and episodes watching experience, from playing a cowboy, Zorro and Palladin, enjoying High Noon to Tombstone to El Dorado, as a child and an adult am enamored with America's west history, geography and wildlife. Walking up and down the Mainstreet and walking down alleys of Mescal and entering the likes of the Livery, Wyatt's cottage, the theatre, the bank or the Crystal Palace you feel the nostalgia of bygone days, and you re-live those moments today within a set composed of at least 28 studio building replicas of the golden age of Westerns. Many sets are interchangeable, some have been moved here or there, and you'll get a fascinating perspective of how it seemed to your fave actors to be pretending for us. To actually walk in the footsteps and shadows of the legends of Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Glenn Ford, and Kurt Russell, just to name a few of the many, many icons that walked these very same streets, alleys and doorways is a fascinating sensation. As you walk around, you will think back and reminisce the movie and television scenes engrained in your memory of the likes of Winchester '73, Rawhide, Tombstone, The Outlaw Josey Wales or The Quick and the Dead. You are standing in the footsteps of history. The Volunteers who walk you and educate you through this journey into movie history are unique unto themselves. Many have been here doing this for decades and have also been extras in many of the films. There are many an anecdote and insight, be it legend or true, which they bring to cinema's tales of the West. Nice and large. Convenient access to large clean 24hr laundromat. Tombstone's internet towers are just across the street so you can get excellent coverage. Ringo's is right behind park. Good pizza there. Can get a little loud when restaurants next to park are packed or are cleaning. Biggest negative for park is extremely small spaces for RVs. You feel as if you are in your neighbors trailer especially when very large RVs come in. Also no place to walk dogs other than "in town" walking. No dog run or park.

I think 'resort' is a stretch, but the sites are nicely spaced and the facilities are nice. It's located far enough away from any busy areas, but close enough to enjoy all the surrounding areas. There are a lot of somewhat aggressive rules, but that is actually the biggest reason I like this campground. The road noise can be a bit much but otherwise it is a nice clean, quiet place to stay when in the area.

No light or air polution of any kind to marr the view of the night sky, and the careful desert landscaping is the chefs kiss. There's also lots of outdoorsy stuff to do in the area. The house is immaculate and very well appointed and the owners were very attentive to our needs. A complete full-on relaxing experience and we will absolutely be back. 5++++ stars! Highly recomended.
