I went thru the wrong self checkout but the checker who was monitoring things stepped in to help me (first customer service help). Apparently my card went through and then went again when the checker helped me. I caught it when going through my checkbook. I called QFC and Carl the manager who was busy out in the store took time to return to his office and explain how to contact the corporate office to fix the problem. After the corporate call it was back to Carl who wrapped things up and in two days the money was returned to my bank account. So not only does QFC have great donuts they have employees at checker position and manager willing to help customers. And one more thing, the store is always super clean and products displayed so well. Great store and great people.

And in a move to save the jar I quickly moved my basket under the falling jar to catch it to stop it from breaking in the floor. Unfortunately, the quick motion of my basket caused a bottle of banana ketchup to be knocked off a lower shelf and break in the floor. Upon, checkout I was made to pay for the bottle that broke. Okay, I get it you're a small business and every penny counts, and I average over $100 of my grocery budget there every month. But from a customer service standpoint to make me pay for accidentally knocking a bottle to the floor? Sure you saved $2.69. But once again from a customer service pov, did you save $2.69 OR did you LOSE over $1200 a year in patronage, because I'm never coming back. There's other Asian groceries in the area that I can get all the same things I get at your store.

Is it because one time a piece of fresh fruit broke my heart? yes, it's all of those things. Fruitabu is the Organic version of the Stratech Island Fruit Leather. They are softer and taste better than all of the other "Fruit Flats". So what exactly IS fruit leather? It's simply dried fruit in a bar. "A convenient, portable fruit, in your pocket ... without the squish!" Old-fashioned fruit leather recipes say: Find a fruit blend that you like (apple and strawberry for example). Use ripe fruits, wash them, and carefully take out stems and seeds. Puree them in a blender and spread the fruit on a tray. Let it dry naturally under the sun (or in a home dehydrator) until the texture is just right. Then cut the fruit leather into strips and store in a dry place. Safeway makes yall look like a joke and they're only slightly more expensive than Winco.
