This was maybe my worst experience at a restaurant ever. It took forever for them to even take our order. After we finished, and waited and waited and waited, someone finally explained that "our computers were down for like an hour." (Although that time frame fluctuated between 30 and 60 minutes depending on which person was explaining.) While waiting for our check, we were completely ignored; no drink refills, no anything. I finally asked to speak with a manager. First, the server kind of begged me not to. Then, I got another server who came over and when I asked if she was a manager, she said, "Well, I am right now." When I again insisted on speaking with a manager, she disappeared to the back and came back after a couple if minutes and said that the managers were refusing to come talk with me. Quite honestly, I don't think that I have ever been treated so poorly and with so much disrespect by any restaurant ever before. read more

Absolutely awful! I stood at the front waiting to be seated for several minutes. The floor was filthy, the menus were filthy, and the staff had on dirty uniforms and looked unkempt. I was seated and asked for an unsweetened iced tea. It tasted terrible and had bubbles in it. Later I asked to have lemonade instead. It tasted bad also. There is a bad smell in the place. I'm assuming it's dirty mop water. I ordered a cheeseburger. The fries were greasy and dark. Dirty grease was used in which to fry them I'm assuming. The burger came out within a few minutes which also concerned me. The meat was microwaved to melt the cheese. The meat tasted old. I'm assuming they held the cooked meat and heated it when I placed the order. One employee was sweeping next to me. Dust was circling in the air. I paid and left. For starters, I didn't even realize Bennigans were still around. Poor reviews for this location, but I really wanted a beer and the few choices in Borger, I gave it a shot. Walked in about 5pm, no one was visible except the two girls behind the bar; one cashing out and the other starting shift. About a half dozen patrons all in the bar area. Ordered a draft and then a burger. Another gentleman sat at a table just away from the bar and went a good 10 min before the bartender asked him if he needed a drink (then went in back to find the waitress). Burger came out with no silverware or condiments. The burger itself was overdone and obviously been sitting in the window under the heat lamp for a while as the bun was dry and crunchy and the plate itself was on fire. Chocked down about half (thank goodness for the beer) and was done. The few local patrons that were here were drinking and not eating except for one that was working just on an appetizer plate, so again given the reviews this is not a place to eat good food - alcohol can help so there you go for some of the better reviews... Only reason to come back is that there really isn't a place to grab a beer or drink anywhere else in Borger. read more

Me and some of my friends went to Bennigan's this weekend when we were traveling around. This place caught our eye. We were seated quite fast but our waiter seemed like he was in a hurry to have us order. We order the Alfredo, The Big Irish - Guiness Glazed Bacon Burger variation, and the Bennigan's Club. First off the fries were huge and super tasty. They had a good amount of salt on them and they were too crisp or flimsy. The Chicken Alfredo was pretty good the sauce was a bit thin but very flavorful. I didn't get to try any of the chicken though. The Big Irish came with a side of tangy sauce that was already on the burger which was great. The burger was soggy which made it hard for my friend to eat other than that he enjoyed it. I had the Bennigan's Club. Usually with clubs I've had the meat and veg would soak through the thick bread but this was neither soggy or majorly bread. The sandwich was pretty tasty. The portions were big here. We even took some home. Bennigan's is a great to try out if you're in the area. We're defiantly coming back again. Update 5/08/16 I brought my friend hyping the food saying it was great. Well... I was more than disappointed. The order was A Guiness Glazed Burger, Cajun Pasta, Skinny Leprechaun, Dr. Pepper, and Lemonade. The drinks don't seem important but this time they are. So we get to our table which was clean with no silverware or napkins. My friend order the Skinny Leprechaun for starters and I got the lemonade and they were watery. Even the Dr. Pepper was watery and lightly carbonated. Our food came out and my friend waited at least 5 minutes to receive silverware and we still had to ask for napkins. The burger and fries were unseasoned scratched that almost everything was way under seasoned except the garlic bread for the pasta. The pasta was also dry we asked for more sauce which was just cream and vegetables. It was just all disappointing I don't know if it was just a bad day or something. This place needs to get it together. Was placed on hold 15 minutes to make a reservation. Next time, if there is a next time we'll simply push two tables together and handle it ourselves. I get grief a lot because I eat anything and don't complain. This was by far the worst food I've ever had in public. I ordered the new Irish whiskey glaze veggie burger. It was like a microwaved burned patty with no glaze. So hard. Everyone else's food was burned too even the kids pizza. The servers were nice but this was absolutely terrible food. read more

Don't know why everyone is giving this place 2 stars I went for breakfast and it was very good waitress was nice and on time I ordered the flat steak and eggs and my steak was very good cooked like I asked and seasoned really good. A friend and I walk in to see the "please wait to be seated" sign. 6 other diners in the joint. One full minute before anyone said "Hi, we'll be right with you". Bless her heart, it was the bartender (where 4 of the 6 people already there were). Someone shows us to a table and takes our drink order. Then our waitress, Tasha, comes out to take our order. Being new to Bennigans we were discussing the menu. Tasha NEVER smiles, asks us if we've been there before, suggests anything. She's got the personality of a pissed off poodle. 3 times, (yes people, I count this) my glass was completely empty. Did I mention there were now 8 of us in the restaurant? Why is my tea glass completely empty and waiting for a refill 3 different times?? The cheesesticks were good, the hamburgers were ok, but not for $7.99 (and that was on special!). The advertised pineapple rum upside down cake had neither rum nor was it a true pineapple upside down cake. It was pineapple chunks on top of a slice of yellow cake (sarah lee I'm pretty sure) in an overgrown martini glass! I'll stick with JT's or Sutphens. read more

I am from out of town and when I am in town working I always come to eat at Bennigan's in Borger. I have been a regular at Bennigan's for about 5 years now and I am very please because the food is always on point. My favorite dish to eat is the "Baby Back Ribs". Fabulous!!!!! I recommend them, and I also recommend Carolina as your waitress, she is friendly, always smiling and brings a laughter that makes people feel as if you were at home. Her service is outstanding, and she is very attentive and prompt. A waitress named Gloria came to my table to ask if everything was ok with my food. etc.... Her personality was sweet and cheerful. In town, working turnaround at phillips66. This is my second visit here...first time was the summer-fall of 2012. I visited this restaurant several times then and the food was always good, not spectacular. The service, though is what I remembered the most and it was very poor. Fast forward to spring of 2014, and I visited on a Saturday afternoon. I was seated, handed a menu, asked for my drink order, then asked if I knew what I wanted to order...I asked my waitress for a few minutes and she left and returned with my drink, a minute later, and again asked for my order...I told her I still wasn't sure and she said she would be back...well, she never came back. Well thank you for the horrific Christmas! Came to Borger to celebrate my 1st grandbaby's Christmas and decided to take everyone out to dinner at your establishment on Sunday night. My daughter and I ordered the same thing. Crispy chicken salad. We both ended up with food poisoning and spent our Christmas Eve bouncing from family house to family house puking with diarrhea filled with lettuce. This used to be our favorite Sunday spot to go after a movie. We'd see a matinee and go to happy hour. We would have $2 Guiness and eat and have a nice time. Well we went to happy hour today and guess what, they prices us out of being able to go and enjoy ourselves. My wife had a couple of Chiltons with a double shot. $8 and it was made with Svedka, nothing top shelf. I had 2 happy hour draft beers that used to be $2 each. Well for our 4 drinks our bar tab was $28+ tip. After that we decided not to eat there or even return there for that matter. Once a place gets that expensive I'm done. Ridiculous!!! read more

The food is dependably good here. Most of the wait staff are friendly, but there is about a 15% chance you will get a rude one. The food wait can vary, sometimes it can be very quick, other times you will wait up to 40 minutes. They always seat us pretty quickly and they have had clean restrooms every time I have been in there. So far, I've never had to send back a wrong order. read more

This restaurant could be good, if the owner would take the time to train his wait staff. The only time you get good service is if you sit in the bar or with the blonde waitress who's been here forever. If you're sat next to the kitchen you have the pleasure of listening to your server complain about having guests in her section. Don't expect a refill on your drinks and if you ask for a sauce you will be glared at and ignored. Thankfully they have a guy in the kitchen to bring you your food. The service is always above expectations and very friendly staff. I have several favorites here but love the boneless buffalo wings.

I tried this place right when it opened and it was horrible. No big deal all places need time to get up and running. I tried it recently and they have gotten worse some how. I ordered buffalo wings and they brought me fried chicken and some sauce in a small container and said just pour it on there. This place is a joke, not to mention the waitress obviously had something stuck in her butt to be that rude to a complete stranger. I would avoid this place like the plague! read more

Came here for dinner with family at 4pm. Breakfast stops being served at 11am, we were sat next to a table that was cluttered with breakfast food, five hours after it was no longer being served. Our waitress, Chelsea, was too busy to take care of our refills or ask us if we needed anything, as she was visiting her friend that came to see her. Not the biggest deal-i just walked up to the bar to ask for a refill. I was ignored by her and the manager. So, my husband attempted-for three of us who were waiting for drinks. The manager took his empty glasses, and sat them down to talk to Chelsea. After waiting for 3+ minutes, I firmly requested a refill from my table. This obviously received the managers attention, and we all received our flat beverages. To top this off-we waited for our check, and OH CHELSEA, says-you aren't going to force me to take their check to them are you? The manager brought us our overpriced check. My husband left a HA on the tip line. Braindead, rude, lazy, and incredibly terrible customer service all around. Piss off, Chelsea. read more
