5 of 10 honeys to taste! Yum!
    Teri G.

So much fun! This has always been a nice stop for us just a quarter mile off the 126. This time, we were on an outing with our 11 yr old granddaughter and she loved everything about Bennett's Honey Farm. She (and we) tasted all 10 honeys. "We" chose to take home 3 honeys, sage, clover and orange, honey sticks, Caramel corn, honey candies, honey in the comb and a cute little toy bouncy ball. Everything was a fair price and the experience was worth more than we paid. Each type of honey had its own distinctive flavor. I liked the spicy honey the best. The Carmel corn was about the best I've ever had with nice big kettle kernels, just the right sweetness, light and fresh. My granddad raised bees and honey so we grew up chewing honey comb. There's something really special about eating honey from the comb. It just tastes better and turns out honey in the comb is the best way to enjoy honey. Its not processed, has more nutrients, and besides that, a novel experience. Set on a farm and shaded by giant orange trees, you'll find lovely parking, right at their inviting entrance to the tasting room and shop. We had a sweet time!

Buzz-tastic! We found this amazing little bee farm by accident while staying overnight in Santa Clarita. The groupon offer is for a honey tasting for two people and 4 jars of honey - such a deal! The shop is filled with the widest selections of natural honey's I have ever seen from avocado, eucalyptus, wildflower, buckwheat, orange, the list goes on. You can find honeycomb in the honey jar as well as huge chunks of honeycomb ready to eat. We enjoyed sampling the creamed honey and ended up taking home a jar. They also have bee themed gifts, souvenirs, and products made from beeswax. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable on honey history. A delightful and welcomed surprise stop on our road trip.

    Fantastic variety of honey !

I am SO thankful that I saw the Bennett's Honey Farm flyer in the Holiday Inn Express Carpinteria lobby. Visiting a honey farm seemed like fun over the holiday weekend. Solvang could wait. Sadly, the Tasting Room is closed due to COVID-19 restrictions BUT the store itself is beautiful with so many different types of honey and honey type products. My favorite honey is the Red Raspberry with its blend of rich tart raspberries underscored by the sweet smooth honey. Don't forget to try the honey foot balm which works wonders on sore feet. Enjoy your visit!

Excited for the tasting (that didn't happen.)

I came on a groupon and was excited to have the kids see a bee farm with honey tasting. Unfortunately my expectations were unfounded. No tasting with covid (which makes sense but why label the groupon as such?) and no farm. It's just a store. Cute retail store yes, but a long way to go for shopping. We got honey to go and it is quite nice. I don't know if I'd drive all this way again though...easier and better for the environment to buy from a local farmer's market.

This is the best honey I've had in Ventura County. I drive 40 minutes to get this stuff.

$200 worth of honey, lol. I took four other people's orders tho so I promise I am not crazy.

Upon entering there are shopping carts and baskets. Take a rolling one (trust me) and get ready for a wonderful store filled with food stuffs that will make you swoon. The neatly stacked shelves are filled with things like chocolate, jam, pasta, tinned seafood, chips, and pasta are all neatly organized. Tags indicating country of origin (largely from Europe) are helpful. There are refrigerators full of charcuterie, cheese, and French butter. Freezers have ready to bake breads and pastries from a bakery in Canada. It's actually quite overwhelming (in a very good way), if you don't know what you need. You'll definitely see lots of things you want. The people that work here seem happy and are very helpful. When we were looking at chips, one of the employees shared his favorites. The best part of the visit was meeting the owner. He was enthusiastic and extremely informative! He told us that everything in the store was sampled and scrutinized for taste and quality. He knew everything about the products and why they were sourced. He helped me find a delicious arbequina olive oil from Italy and tins of sardines packed it butter. Swoon. By the end of our visit my basket was full! While the items here are pricey I truly think that the quality is worth it. Parking is plentiful and conveniently located just outside. The store is clean and well organized. Bring your own reusable shopping bags because you'll need it for all the wonderful goodies. Definitely returning! Pure electricity that took my friggin' breath away. I was overwhelmed as I stumbled around with my kid who also was in awe. The staff are fantastic. Eric is a master Jedi and was so thoughtful, energetic, detailed and soooooo fun with his descriptions, guidance and suggestions. I am was so so happy to hear that that this place is extending its square footage as well. (Thank you Eric for sharing and showing us the new space!). I don't know what to say. You just have to go. Imagine yourself in some great food adventure and you enter a vast other wordly cathedral filled with gems and golden treasure. That's Epicurus Gourmet. I've been in LA for well over three decades and its rare that I am frozen in my footsteps when walking into a new spot - but this place did it. A vast Disneyland of tinned fish, butters, pastas, meats, chocolate, spices, so so much more. Honestly, for anyone passionate about food and cooking, it may make you cry visiting this spot. Perfection. Go. Many thanks to Eric and the entire staff for making our first visit with you wildly memorable and deeply enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Soooooooooo glad you are nearby!

When we went in we waited in line for a long while to order. There were other employees but for some reason they didn't open another register for quite some time. When I finally ordered I went to pay and they don't take cash. This is a pet peeve of mine but I just went with it as I was on a date. We found a high table and sat in very uncomfortable chairs. Note: get there early and get the lower tables. After waiting a while for our food I went and asked. They then informed me that I was to retrieve it from another part of the establishment. When I got the food it was not very warm but still tasted good. The show was great. The two performers were funny and put on a good show. My only gripe is when people would pay $10-40 for a song and the performers would do a little then ask for more money to change the song. That discouraged me from submitting our papers. We will definitely return again as we had a good time and now we will know how the place operates.
