So I have lived in my house for just about two and a half years now and I can not tell you how blessed I have been. All the neighbor's are awesome they watch out for each other and the hole block is so awesome. I have a special next door neighbor her husband and her take such care with looking out over the neighborhood. She just happens to work with this company and has hooked me up over time with the honey and just to day a wedge of soap. I would just love to say thank you so much and thanks to a Company that is still so hands on and mom and pops looking forward to checking out the rest of the soap line and defiantly the candles now. I was at a Farmer's Market years ago and I decided to buy a couple 16oz jars to try after overhearing someone rave about their honey. YOU GUYS...THIS IS THE BEST HONEY I'VE EVER HAD! I'm not kidding! Forget all the other store bought honey crap. GET BILL'S HONEY! My personal faves are the wildflower and sage wildflower honey. They have others such as avocado honey, orage blossom, etc. I forgot I had saved one bottle just in case and was buying the generic honey you always see in supermarkets. I was so happy to see a bottle hidden in my pantry! Bill's honey has ruined me! I cannot go back to "regular" honey. I drove to Pasadena's Farmer's Market only for this honey! "Hi can you send more honey?" That's me, frequently, as I travel around and keep Bill's Bee's honey wherever I go. Have you ever seen or tasted avocado honey? I never did until fate steered me to Bill's at the Studio City farmers market and I never looked back. They're all good, very clean and pure with excellent clarity and texture, I've never had one crystallize on me, and I particularly like getting them in glass jars. So yes they're all good, but I have always found honey to be too sweet. Meet avocado honey. Smooth and mellow and intensely different than anything you've tasted. I say all this with caution because it's a seasonal product and I don't want too many people to buy up my obsession (!) but I've already let them know that as soon as the honey is ready I'll be having my jars sent all over the country awaiting me. Tip: Great morning drink is matcha tea which has caffeine but won't give you the rush and crash of coffee or soda, I like it iced, I use a milk frother to make a bit of frothed milk like a fancy barista drink (takes 2 seconds) sprinkle with cinnamon (great anti-inflammatory) and then drizzle the whole thing with this honey. Delicious, refreshing, hot or cold, and if you make it for someone else they will be totally impressed. I have also used this honey for baking, salad dressings, a lot of stuff. I called the day before to be sure if I drove two hours to the Pasadena farmer's market they'd have bee pollen in stock. The man who answered the phone made puns saying he'll "bee" there tomorrow. I was sure to reiterate I was driving a long way in rush hour specifically to get his bee pollen. He confirmed he'd have it. I offered to pay over the phone and he said no need, he had eighteen. Do you see where this is going? I show up the next day and the man at the booth has no idea what I'm talking about. I confirmed with him the number I called the day before was Bill's Bees Honey, he said yes. I confirmed the man on the phone had made bee puns, and he said simply "yeah sorry." I explained I drove there just for his bee pollen that was referred to me for an allergic reaction of hives I was suffering from. "Sorry." Honey, I'm home. I've discovered the honey of my life at Santa Monica Farmer's market. I always thought all the honey tastes the same whether it comes in an adorable teddy bear bottle or in a delicate little jar from Fauchon. Oh, I was wrong. The key is to get local honey because it's fresh, I think. Not really expecting much, but since I was looking for reasonable Christmas gifts, and I happened to be browsing in the market, I bought a bundle of boxed honeycombs for $5 each and a few jars of honey for a little over $3 each (price is incredibly inexpensive too, I must add). After designating each gift of hard worked treasure to a recipient, I decided to open a box of honeycombs for myself. Oh my. What a wonderful experience it was. The taste of this golden liquid made me swear never to buy honey anywhere else. If this is honey, what have I been tasting until now? So now when I'm relaxing at home, blogging, reading, just kicking back... I have a box of honeycombs besides me with a very cute small porcelain spoon. It goes with a cup of tea of course, and it tastes wonderful with a slice of organic Fuji apples. Folks, please try Bill's Bees honey. Bill just picked up another fan from the Santa Monica Farmer's Market. I had always seen different labels for clover blossom, orange blossom, etc, but we never got to try out a few at the same time to see the differences... They let us try a few different ones here, where we found that we liked the Sage Wildflower type... Very reasonable prices, great tasting honey, AND from a local producer. A few days before I was supposed to pick them up their was problems with the weather (it was hot and they were worried about travel in a nuc box). Liane wrote out a very nice letter explaining that we should bring our brood boxes to but the nucs in there allowing for more ventilation on the way home. We got there and the two gentlemen were very nice and cordial. They went out of their way to show us how to do things and give us advise. They showed us the queens and explained a few things to this relatively new beekeeper. They went the extra mile. You never feel like you were intruding on them and they made you feel like a king! After a long metro trip up and down Los Angeles, a friend and I decided to stop by the South Pasadena Farmers market primarily for Funnel cakes (but the stand wasn't there!) So After fruitless searching, I came across Bill's Bee's. Now, Let me tell you, I'm not the biggest fan of honey, but decided to buy some of his honey sticks (5 for a buck, you can't go wrong!) since I used to eat them from time to time when I was little. I tore my teeth into the Green Apple Honey stick, and I was HOOKED! I went back for 15 more sticks! It's 2 days later, and I've finished them already! I can't wait a whole week until the next Farmer's Marker... I NEED MY HONEY STICK FIX! Bill's Bees honey is just so heavenly. Unfortunately, when I went to the Montrose FM a few weeks ago, the young man selling the honey was quite distracted by this girl who was hanging out at the stand and couldn't be bothered!
