Bennett Automotive was great! My mechanic of over 15 years retired and so I was looking for an honest, trustworthy mechanic. I read many positive reviews on Bennett Automotive so decided to give them a try to see for myself and I'm glad to report that all of the positive reviews were spot on. They took my car in the next day and were very, very thorough in their inspection and even included pictures of each issue in my Jeep Patriot. I like that they do most of the transactions via text including accepting or declining the repairs recommended. They didn't pressure me on having to get any if the repairs done but was honest about which ones needed to be done right away and which ones could be held off on. Their cost was reasonable and was able to get the repairs done ahead of schedule. I'll be coming back to Bennett Automotive again for my other cars for sure! read more

Car was stalling. Left it with them for a couple of days then was told it was the central junction fuse box. $1200. I know Ford has had a problem with the fuel pump relay, and it wasn't a matter of just replacing the fuse box, because there has to be a REASON why that relay goes bad. It could be the fuel pump is starting to fail, the wires may be corroded, bad fuel filter, and a couple of other causes. They didn't check for any of these or other potential causes, information that I easily found and read about on a Ford site. They only told me they took it for a couple of test drives and it didn't stall. They did find out that box can go bad. But they apparently didn't know there is ALWAYS an underlying cause for this. $200 for NO diagnosis! I've NEVER paid anything close to $200 just for a diagnosis, let alone for one I never got. To think they didn't know there's a reason the relay goes bad? Meaning if they just replaced the whole fuse box the problem would eventually come back. I found out Ford doesn't even have the fuse box anymore, so it would have to be a rebuilt one from who knows where. $1200 for a rebuilt fuse box that takes less than an hour to install?? For $200 they obviously did nothing but take it for a couple of test drives. I can't sell the car saying the fuse box is bad, because anyone with even a little knowledge knows there has to be an underlying cause for a relay going bad! It's even written about online! For such positive reviews? I only feel ripped off. I have no diagnosis and will have to take it somewhere else. For me it's important to be honest with a potential buyer, and I have no information to give someone. You should think about this before you decide to take your car there. read more

I was up from San Diego visiting my sister and my LR4 broke down just before heading back south. They were booked up but they had me bring my car in anyway to see what they could do to help me out. It ended up being a larger issue, so it took a few days to fix, but they completed the job sooner than they expected and made sure there were no other issues. Highly recommended Bennet Automotive! If you are looking for an honest repair shop this is one the few that actually exist. Read on if you want to know my story. I got a flat tire a few months back, took it to pep boys in simi to get it fixed/replaced. They told me my left front axle is leaking and it they could repair/replace it for around 2k. I said no thanks i'll get a second opinion. Took it to german auto specialists also in simi and they told me both front axles needed to be replaced for 3.5K. I decided to wait and get a third opinion and when i called bennet matt told me after market parts are a lot cheaper and would cost around 1100 for both. Took into bennet today and they confirmed neither axle is leaking and they didn't need to be replaced.. he did find other minor issues but to make a long story short i ended up paying $0 dollars. They could have easily replaced my front axles and i would not have known that they were never an issue. Thank you Bennet Automotive for being an honest business. I will definitely take my car back in the futuure if any real issues arise. read more

The first factor for me in finding a good mechanic is that I can trust what they tell me. I have taken my Mercedes here twice and definitely recommend them. The most recent trip I am a bit ashamed to admit was something of user error. Not only did they not make me feel like an idiot (which I am)- it would have been pretty easy for them to charge me more money by saying there was something wrong when there wasn't. I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and My reverse/Backup lights weren't working. I wasn't from the area and I went to another highly rated shop who told me that my bulbs and fuse were fine and that the problem was in the computer and I'd probably hAve to take it to the dealer. I found Bennetts automotive and was impressed with the reviews so I called and Brent quoted me less than any shop.
