A few weeks ago my wife came home with a leaking thermostat on her Volvo XC60. I called on a Thursday, was quoted for the thermostat and a few other things I wanted done. I dropped the car off Friday morning. There was a parts delay at the day's end and C called me with updates. They close at 5pm and stayed until 7pm (on a Friday) to finish the job. Generally good work, but the last repair they made was problematic. They left three cables unplugged under the hood and unfortunately one of them was my horn. I nearly got in an accident because of this. Also, my car was covered in mud when I picked it up. It looked like they washed a very dirty vehicle right next to my car and didn't bother to clean it off. read more

We have been coming to Import Car Specialists over the last decade or more. Hadn't been there however, for a few years, as our cars were new. We recently returned, after our newer cars " aged out" from car warranties and we'd been going to dealer service departments. So glad that Import Car Specialists is still around! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND ... in fact, I called my mom up afterwards so she knows about this Thousand Oaks gem the next time her Porche has an issue. Had my BMW towed here, after hours, after my engine service light turned on and I started having acceleration issues. I got a call from JP first thing in the morning verifying everything that I noted was wrong before inspection. Shortly after I got another call with a diagnosis and two quotes, one to replace only what was broken and another to replace the whole set with factory parts (misfiring coils) which was highly recommend (so the rest don't misfire). They fixed her up and I was back on the road by that afternoon. They also noticed my tire pressure light was on, and gave me a separate quote for that and acknowledged it wasn't a necessary fix for the car to run correctly. Happy to find a mechanic who will give me impeccable service, honesty and options at a fair price. With no appointment my car was in and out of their shop in less than 24 hours. read more

I brought my 350Z in for brakes and other misc service and was very pleased with the attention to detail and thoroughness of the team here. Did I mention that they charged me about 20% less than I expected? The owner even found extra labor he felt should not have been charged and refunded me. The job was done correctly and on time. As a last comment, I'll mention that the office workers really stand out here. I accidentally gave them an extra $100 when paying and they caught it after I had walked out the door and chased me down. They could have just kept it, but they stepped up. Found this amazing car service center in yelp so Thank you . We bought our car a 2004 Toyota Corolla one month back. We went to Firestone for initial checking, they gave us 2500 dollars repairs estimate, we were stunned . We decided to do only the oil change and leak detection. So today only we went to Import Car Specialist, they changed the oil and did the leak detection, cost us 44.90, said everything is fine, we don't have to worry about anything now. They are such good and honest people. They took like 4 hours, we ate lunch at Namaste spiceland and enjoyed our time in The Lakes, so it was also a awesome outing read more
