I want him to come back anytime I may need service. It is a piece of mind to have someone with this level of professionalism. Thank you

We had a very disappointing experience with Red Cap Plumbing. We were going to be first-time…read morecustomers and chose them because of all the positive reviews we saw online. The call center staff was friendly when we scheduled our appointments, and the promotional deal sounded great -- $25 AC maintenance and free water heater flushing. We scheduled two separate technicians, one for the AC and one for the water heater. The day before the appointment, they called to reschedule the AC appointment, and then called again to reschedule the water heater appointment, saying they needed technicians to handle emergency calls for customers without AC. We understood and rescheduled everything for the following week. Unfortunately, we received another call today canceling both appointments again for the exact same reason. At this point, it feels like customer service and honoring scheduled appointments are not a priority. I completely understand emergencies happen, but canceling on customers repeatedly after they've cleared their schedules is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. It gives the impression that technicians are being directed toward higher-paying jobs instead of keeping commitments already made to existing customers. If that's how scheduling works, it should be communicated upfront instead of wasting customers' time. This experience left a horrible taste in both mine and my husband's mouths. Unless we have absolutely no other option, we will not be using Red Cap Plumbing for future maintenance or repairs.

We live in an older house in West Tampa. After pretty much a total remodel of both bathrooms and…read morethe kitchen, we experienced a homeowners nightmare...a plumber was doing periodic maintenance on our cast iron infrastructure when a pipe broke. After analyzing solutions with them, which included knocking out walls in both bathrooms, the owner handed us off to APEX. Joe and Mike came over to the house and examined what we had & took pictures. After running cameras through everything, they developed a hybrid solution that involved undermining accessible pipes and replacing with minimal intrusion as well as refurbishing and epoxy coating the remaining small segments of cast iron that would remain. Joe sat down at our dining room table and mapped it all out; showing us video of each problem point as well as what was salvageable & gave us a price. We signed off on it. With much apprehension on our part knowing our home was about to be dissected, Elliot and John arrived to start work. They were prompt, respectful, & empathetic to our dilemna. They were also insistent about putting protective paper down everywhere they worked to protect the flooring. At the end of the day, they swept, vacuumed, and mopped any debris that was remaining. This was the standard throughout the entire engagement. Their workmanship and attention to detail was spot on. All of Joe's guys were phenomenal. John, Elliot, Matt; I cannot remember all their names, were consummate professionals of the highest degree. I would not hesitate to recommend APEX Plumbing.

APEX Plumbing was awful! Communication was terrible. It took a month for a 2 day job. (Still never…read morecompleted) 1) They cut my electric lines under my patio by mistake. Things happen. I get that. NEVER TOLD ME. 2) Broke my gas pipe underground when digging. Mistakes happen. I get that. NEVER TOLD ME. I had to call them to find out why my gas was turned off 2 days later. 3) They propped my gate open to work. Left it that way when they left. My dog ran away. There are 2 signs saying to close the gate. 4) Scheduling nightmare. 5) They moved my hot tub to get to the area of work. They placed the cord on top of the cover. It rained. Broke. Mistakes happen. I replaced it. Then, when they finally came to fix another mistake they made... they left the cord on the cover exposed in a rain storm, AGAIN. I replaced it AGAIN. 6)They filled the hole on my patio with cement. It looked like a child did it. It was a quarter inch to half an inch higher than the rest of the patio. I called and complained. Sent them photos. They assured me they would fix it. It took them almost 2 weeks and 10 phone calls. 7) There's was a fan outside. They used it when filling cement in the hole they dug. Thats fine. Cement was left all over the new fan. 8) With the city program, they were to restore my property of how it was. They removed pavers and just left in a pile. STILL NOT RE-INSTALLED. 9) My home is old and didn't have a clean out. They tell me they need to install one. Great. They tell me, "It will look bad if we put it on the patio. After inspection, we will move it off the patio. Are you okay with that? We take pride in our work." I said "Whatever you think is best. Thanks." Where's is the clean out? In the middle of the patio. They never should have offered to put the clean out else where, if they weren't going to follow through. AND to offer doing something after a city inspection was sketchy. They are 100% not abiding by the city in most likely the majority of jobs performed.
