This company renovated two bathrooms and hooked up our brand new kitchen 2-1/2 years ago. I am a…read morelicensed contractor and had to foster new relationships with vendors because I was 4 hours away. The tech was mildy experienced and hooked up may items incorrectly which we had fixed at our own expense. The most recent being the master bath shower pan that was not done to code for two reasons. The first reason was there were no dam corners above the curb as required by the Florida building code.  Dam corners are put in so if there is ever a leak where the shower enclosure penetrations are, everything stays protected.  This is evidenced in the 2023 Florida building code chapter 27. They really need to educate themselves.   Also, this pan should've been pre-pitched with either a Styrofoam liner or with floor mud before the pan was put down. This is Florida building code and is the way that I do it in my business every day.  Placing a shower pan directly against raw concrete without a proper slope, almost certainly leads to a pan failure. Water will pool beneath or inside the pan, rotting the surrounding structure, fostering mold, and compromising the waterproof seal which is exactly what happened.    I paid them to do this correctly and I had assumed that it would be in accordance with the Florida building code. I was not living there and was not able to be there to supervise.   When I contacted them, Luis argued with me and told me that it was done correctly, the same way he did when he hooked up our Alkaline Water machine where it was reversed, and the Alkaline Water was coming out of the small spout where you couldn't even fit a cup under. He actually called me "picky."  I have never, in my 37 years, doing kitchen and bathroom remodels, called a client picky for wanting something to work as designed and intended. I requested a refund on what was paid orginally (not the amount to rip everything out, pay for a proper pan to be done, and re-tile. That cost will be over $10,000.00. Their response is as listed below: Thank you for reaching out to us. We have received your request for a refund regarding the shower pan installation completed at your Tampa condo in December 2023. As a General Contractor and fellow industry professional, I believe you can appreciate the operational standards necessary to maintain the integrity of a specialized trade like plumbing. Because of our respect for your professional background, we want to address your concerns with complete transparency. Our standard service warranty on labor is one year from the date of completion. As this project was completed over two and a half years ago, it is well outside our established warranty window. More importantly, our records and your recent correspondence indicate that another contractor has already opened and manipulated the work area to perform their own diagnosis and remediation. From a protective and liability standpoint, it is impossible for us to honor or evaluate a warranty claim once another party has touched the work. In our industry, it is unfortunately common for a competitor to attempt to discredit previous work to justify their own scopes. Because we were not given the opportunity to inspect the issue first-hand in its original state, we cannot verify the conclusions drawn by a third party. That being said, we truly value the long-standing relationship we've built with you. Because you are a VIP customer, we are willing to offer a professional courtesy that reflects that status. While we cannot issue a refund for work that was accepted and remained functional for over two years, we would be happy to send a senior technician to look at the issue and suggest a root-cause fix. Should you choose to have us perform the corrective work, we will apply a heavily discounted "VIP rate" to the labor and materials, just as we have done in the past. We value your business and hope to resolve this in a way that respects both our warranty policies and your history with Premium Plumbing. This response is a joke. The pan was leaking into the unit below and caused over $1000.00 damage to their unit which I also had to pay. As a contractor, I fully realize things can go wrong. It's how a company rectifies those mistakes that sets them apart.

I put in a request on Yelp to have plumbers contact me about a clog. Kenny responded quickly &…read moreseemed very professional. Kenny said he felt running the snake from the roof was our best option. He also stated he does not feel it's right to charge for a camera to be run after the drain is unclogged. He offered to come out within the hour for $550. He was going to have to come back the next morning anyways since his other guy had the camera. We said we would just wait until morning. It was so late (10pm) The next morning Kyle arrived promptly at 9am. They were honestly the most prompt plumbers I've ever met. I showed Kyle where to access the crawl space to get under the house. He chose to just run the snake from the front yard. Kyle never did go onto the roof or under the house. He did eventually break the clog loose & proceeded to clean up. I asked for the camera footage. He did not run the camera. I asked him to do so. He then ran it but, I do not feel it was ran properly as his diagnosis was not accurate. It also took him less than 5 mins to run the camera ... I didn't think much of it since Kyle said I did not need the footage. This was Thursday morning. On Saturday my husband took off to replace the section of pipe that Kyle said was wrong. We ended up putting a level on the pipes, under the house. The angles were accurate. I called Kenny to ask for the camera footage that we should of received when Kyle ran it. Kenny was a bit upset that we were not given that footage when we paid for the job. It's also my experience that snaking the drains from the roof is twice the price, I was however ok as long as it was completed. Here we were on a Saturday trying to fix this issue but we could not get the footage we were promised. Kenny said he did not have the camera, it was in Kyle's truck & he was off for the weekend. This is the reason I did not give 5 stars. We had to delay repairing the pipe due to Kyle not completing the job as promised. We had to wait for Kenny to retrieve the camera on Monday. Then he showed up on Monday. The diagnosis Kyle had given was not accurate. Unfortunately we wasted a weekend & canceled a job that we had scheduled had Kyle done the job properly the first time, we wouldn't be in that predicament. It's my opinion he either didn't know what he was looking at or he did not run the camera & just pretended he did. Kyle said the cast iron was in good condition. Kenny said it needed to be replaced. Kyle said it was the angle of the pipe. It was the size of the pipes not matching up. Kenny however crawled under the house, ran the camera & discovered the issue. It was nothing at all what Kyle said but, at least he stood by his service & came back at my request. This is why they received 4 stars. Tbh... Kenny deserves 5 stars & Kyle deserves 3... I have already recommended them to a few people. My only other observation is... you might need a second camera to keep on the bosses truck. Twice we needed it & it was on the other truck. If you're running a camera for nearly every job, it might be a good investment to have a back up. In closing I do recommend Elite Plumbing. Kenny is the owner & he stands behind his work. If something is not right, Kenny does what he can to make it right. If you're in need of plumbing repairs, I highly recommend Elite Plumbing.

2 months ago I…read morereceived a call that there was a leak at my condo. Originally thought it was Hot Water Heater, but turned out to be a pipe behind the wall. Called Elite Plumbing and they sent a Tech to investigate. ANGELO diagnosed the problem, removed a section of sheetrock and repaired a 1 foot section of leaking copper pipe. I soon received a bill for $650, which I thought was excessive. As part of the remediation process, ANGELO decided to remove the Hot Water Heater from the property!?!? When contacted to ask where the HWH was, ANGELO responded that I told him to remove it! I would never have instructed him to do that. Very disappointed, and would not recommend this company. And Ken, as owner, you know EXACTLY what happened, your employee remove the water heater from my unit and probably installed as new somewhere else!
