I understand why this location has low ratings. Our 1st visit during Covid and not having the Hibachi experience doesn't quite justify the price! The quality had gone down. Our server, Katherine over charged us, forgot our dessert and was super slow. Our reservation was for 5:15; we were seated about 5:30. We ordered as soon as someone attended us (after I requested they clean our table because it was filthy) & our 1st course didn't come until 6. Then our app finally came (after our soup & salad). Once our entrées came, they were good yet not great & they forgot his mushrooms so we got them to go The saving grace is the $30 b'day certificate however, I hope next time we get an attentive, quick, friendly & efficient server. I brought my friend here because she is from out of state and she heard such great things about Benihana. Since we have been here it's been all bad. We had reservations and waited a half hour longer, they sat us down and didn't have a chair for me, then didn't give us sauces then took our order and took 50 mins to bring our appetizers then another 20 mins to cook for us. Our cook did not give any entertainment which is sad because I had told my friend it was fun here! Then the list can go on and on, this has to be the worse Benihana to eat at! And the server takes lots of breaks!!! My friend asked for the manager , again took like about 30mins for him to come out, Paul Crowley comes and my friend tells him how we have had terrible service the entire night and under cook the chicken over cooked her steak, he is not very understanding and says he has to check what time we got here. We went for Christmas dinner. We made sure to make reservations. And with that, we ended up waiting an hour. The waitress was either tired or annoyed. Granted, it was busy. Management should have done better with staffing and communication with customers. After we sat down we still ended up waiting longer. After getting drinks, and waiting we asked the host and he was saying that it was still gonna be an hour before we get our chef. So we finally get our chef, he was great. He kept out 4 y.o. entertained while speeding through the food process so that we could eat. We did ask of our lil one could get his food ahead of us and the waitress said his was at the same time we get ours. She did bring out nuggets for him. We ate and then at the end we realized we never got our sauces, my son didn't get his side fried rice and no ice cream. As she brought out the check we had to remind her and let her know of the error. We got the check back and no cost was deducted. With the ice cream, we got the ice cream but , I don't know, her attitude was like I said earlier annoyed (kinda rude) so we rushed to get out. In all honesty I wouldn't go back there to that particular location. I do appreciate that there was staff working on Christmas day, but for what we paid, service was a 2 out of 5. Dined in for the first time on a Friday night & will be my last. Wasn't busy compared to other restaurants in the area. Community tables means multiple orders are taken which delays your order. Expect to be there for 2 hours from start to finish. Surprised with covid restrictions, we were sat next to three other couples. Walls and hanging features were very dusty & carpet throughout restaurant didn't appear clean. Food is fresh but overpriced due to the "show" put on by the cook. Felt gimmicky. Let me start off by saying we had a reservation at 4:15pm this past Friday. We got there at 4pm and we were sat right at 4:15pm which is great. We were sat with another party of 3 so there were 6 people total at our table. The restaurant wasn't packed and everyone else seemed to be getting served. Fast forward 45 minutes later and nobody has still not been by to offer us water or to take our drink orders. I finally had to flag down a server and demand that someone come to our table. So one hour into us sitting down we were finally getting our drinks. At that point I was pretty pissed off and asked to talk to the manager because I have a 4 year old and his patiences was wearing thin. I was told by the other party at our table that this place always has the worst service and the managers don't care about their customers. The manager came over finally and told us that our chef will be over to our table in about 10 minutes to start our dinner. When the chef did come and started our dinner he didn't confirm any of our meals and was the worst tepan chef I have every seen. He kept dropping his utensils and finally his fork went flying into a soy sauce which then spilled all over the other gentleman at our table. The chef also forget to cook my wife's steak and the other gentleman's shrimp which we had to ask the chef where this food was. The food was good but the service was the worst I have ever seen. I never ask to talk to a manager unless I want to praise the food or the service I receive, so I can't even remember when was the last time I have asked to see a manager so I can complain. My family and I will never go back to this place ever again and I would never recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Worst experience possible. Came in as walk in, said it was going be 30 minute wait. I said that fine and got seated in 15, (this was the only reason I gave a star.) Got seated, server introduced herself and took our order, great right ...... wrong !!! Disappears for a whole hour, no drinks, no apps, nothing. Our chef finally rolls around and boom we received everything at once except my drink, I thought ok maybe the chef will make a comeback wrong again, just hurried up cooked in 20 minutes and left because she said she was tired meanwhile all tables around us were getting shows. A table that arrived after us had gotten their food and chef arrived first before ours and chef was still there after ours left..... and I didn't get my drink until I was almost done but because my server completely forgot to put in my drink. I felt bad for the other party that sat with us because they were celebrating a birthday and they told the server, but the server also forgot that as well.... they hurried up and cleaned our table as we were still eating, as if they were rushing us to leave. I thought 2 1/2 hours before the movie starts would be enough time to eat and make it on time. LOL. Not if you're going to eat at this place. We had gift cards. That's the only reason we went. I've been watching their commercials for years but never went because watching a guy in a chef's uniform juggling my shrimp and making a heart out of my egg never really blew up my skirt. First, they sat us with strangers. Without asking! So they can fill a table of 8 even though the table next to us only had 3 people, they sat 3 strangers with a party of 5 so all of our elbows can bump and grind to the music. Then it took like 20 minutes to get a waitress to our table to explain to us how it works and why this place is so awesome. Then it took another 20 minutes to take all our drink and appetizer orders. Then another 20 minutes to serve our drinks. Then she asks if we are ready to order? Yes, we've been ready! Then for the next 30 minutes we were just staring at each other. The strangers we were with had the same question on their face as we did...DOES THIS PLACE SERVE FOOD??? We are starving! Finally, I had to talk to the manager tell them we had a movie to go to and it's our first time here and does it usually take this long? He said, "usually 30 minutes". 30 minutes?!? For what, a beef bowl? LOL! He walked to the back and finally a guy comes out with a cart of food and a chef's uniform. He starts with his Las Vegas lounge routine of "Hey how ya doin'. What a great crowd!" routine and starts clanging his spatulas like drum symbols and juggling onions. They charge more for some special fried rice, and the guy ran out of it and says sorry I'll get more. OMG! We are served small portions of meat at a time. A little of this and a little of that. My wife has no rice. By this time, I don't care anymore. What a sh*t show. Just bring me the check! Please! Gues what. No check. The waitress, after like 10 more minutes brings out this handheld cash register and holds it out towards me like it's a new baby and tells me to slide my card and enter my pin out in the open so everyone can write it down and rob me later. She stares at the screen as I'm entering a crappy tip amount because I'm emotionally exhausted, I just want to see the start of my movie. Every time I drive by this place all I can do is laugh.
