The Oh My God Roll was beautifully presented, very eye-catching, and tasted just as amazing as it looked. Definitely one of the highlights. The Jalapeño Bomb Roll was also a standout. The spicy kick from the jalapeño paired really well with the sauce, making it incredibly flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the yuzu cocktail and the Sea Breeze, and both were refreshing and well-balanced. Perfect drinks to go with sushi. (Hate eating in the dark) the servers/hostess was polite and attentive. Very accommodating. They gave a complementary corn soup which was actually pretty tasty. I ordered the baked muscles yummy of course and I got the 3 item bento which came with miso soup rice, and salad the 3 item I picked was sesame chicken, pork katsu cutlet and like a spicy mango cali roll. Came in around 4:30 with my brother. The hostess was friendly and the decor was cute, with private little booths. They also have a buy one roll, get one fifty percent off deal that runs all day. That ended up being the best part of the visit. The complimentary edamame was pale and brown, which set the tone. The Crispy Rice appetizer and my green tea were fine. The rolls were the real issue. The Butterfly Roll had soggy tempura and very pale, mushy tuna. The Crunch Scallop Roll tasted like the scallops had been frozen, fried too hard, and cooked in old oil. Even the rice was mushy. When one roll opened up and I saw the texture inside, it threw me off so much that I lost my appetite and felt uneasy afterward, although I cannot tell if it was the food or just my reaction. The place was almost empty, but service was slow. Two different staff members asked how our meal was. When I told the first one it was not great, he just looked sad and walked away. When I shared my concerns with the waitress, she simply slid the check over without offering any solution. It made the check ins feel pointless. It was disappointing to pay for a meal that I could not enjoy. With the freshness issues and the lack of follow through, this spot just missed the mark for me. I would not return. read more

I placed a takeout order for the 2-item bento box for lunch, and it far exceeded my expectations. There is a wide range of items to choose from, but I decided to go with the Pork Cutlet and Yellowtail Roll. Not only were there large portions of both, but the meal also includes a side salad, rice, and miso soup. The Pork Cutlet was excellent! Juicy cuts, yet still crispy and tender from the fry. It remained this way even after my 15 minute commute back. I also enjoyed the yellowtail roll. A great option if you're looking for something different than the traditional california roll. There was a cozy atmosphere when I stopped in, and plenty of parking in the back. And best of all, this restaurant and staff are quick to answer the phones and provide great service - unlike the other major sushi restaurant in Downey that always seems to have a disconnected/busy line. read more

Food has changed so much since I first came here back in 2018. The wait time to get take out is long and the servers/staff are disorganized so you don't get your food unless you ask the sushi chef at the bar for your order. Hostess was on her phone and not very helpful with questions about the menu when I asked about a couple of different roles she didn't know how to answer. The servers/hostess seemed very young and didn't ring our order correctly. We didn't get the sides we planned on paying for and they just threw a bunch of sauces in the bag but none were for my corresponding role. Place has gone downhill and is not a great sushi spot. I don't recommend this if you're a sushi person only if you care about baked or tempura rolls with tons of mayo. The inside infrastructure is the best part about this place giving the booth seating a nice ambience, but besides that this place is worth passing by if going to a decent sushi place feels too far. read more

We ordered several rolls, and edmamae. Thats what makes or breaks it for me. Service was good, no complaints servers were nice and made us aware of some specials.
