This place was packed, and while we had a 5:15 reservation, we weren't seated until about 6:00. Normally that would've been a dealbreaker, but the way the staff handled it completely changed the experience. The manager, Mickey Folgheraiter, was absolutely outstanding. He checked on us repeatedly while we waited, kept us updated, and continued to make sure we were taken care of throughout the entire dinner. His attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine concern for guests really stood out, especially on such a busy night. He's the kind of manager that makes you want to come back. Our chef, Alex, also deserves major credit. There were a few issues that were not his fault--some food came out incorrect or not quite enough at first--but he handled everything with grace and professionalism. He stayed upbeat, kept the experience enjoyable, and did an excellent job cooking and entertaining with what he was given. Busy nights happen, but great service makes all the difference. We come here at least 4 times a year -- birthdays etc. If you have a birthday (ie if you are alive do this)... sign up for the Chef's Club -- they will email you a certificate for a portion off your birthday meal -- you must go M-Th but who cares? Do it! We drive from the other side of town. First of all I LOVE teppanyaki!!! It is a fun show but I also get to specify how I want my food... and who am I kidding I am a princess. Sushi is fairly good here but I skip the apps because there is so much food. Lunches are more affordable but don't give everything dinners give. I love the onion soup. I love the salad with onion dressing. Both are simple but really are good. Also get the hot green tea it comes with meals. Want a cocktail they have those too they aren't included but they are good! Then the grill fun starts --- if you like Chicken Fried Rice do it! Get it.. Chefs here are super fun and have a whole show. Mushrooms, onions, zucchini and Shrimp all cooked on the grill are given to each person who orders a meal. All very good and there is a ginger sauce for veggies and seafood and a mustard sauce for chicken and beef. I always get the Emperors Feast with Filet and Chicken because I like it like that. Reservations for 7:30 and got told it would be a few minutes when we showed up at 7:15. We didn't get seated until past 9. Absolute joke. Maximum occupancy of 261 in the building and in my boredom I counted over 300 people easily. Safety hazard on top of poor management and poor service. Very obviously overbooked. The last three times we've gone and made a reservation we've had to wait 1 hour plus! Last time everyone in our party was given free drinks and appetizers which made the wait not bad. This time however nothing was comped and we were told nothing could or would be done. We were told those kind managers who had given us free food to ease our wait had been fired recently. Every bite, every sip, every silly joke was perfection. Here's what you need to know: we made a reservation for 5:15 and we're sitting down at 5:16 (as soon as everyone arrived, otherwise we might have sat sooner). Those guests who arrived closer to 7:00 and beyond may not have been so lucky (we saw large groups of folks crowding the waiting area for quite a while). This is such a poorly run location. They always take more reservations than they can handle, and never apologize for anything because they're virtually the only show in town and can do whatever they want. Never bring out veggies for kids' meals. Bunch of older female waitresses who just can't handle the job of serving. Had a lunch reso for 1:45 today, wasn't seated until 2:15. Had to flag down a waiter after 15 mins. During COVID, I ordered pick-up and was charged twice. Store supervisor called me after I emailed them, said she would send me a giftcard (my order was messed up anyways, the crispy rice sushi was missing ingredients) and reverse the double charge. She did neither! Had to dispute the charge. Never got a gift card. Never had anyone follow up. And this was escalated to management! Worse experience ever at a Benihana. Went on Saturday night for a 9 pm reservation with two small kids and we did not get sat until 9:30 our drink order was taken and all but one drink came and we had to wait another 20 mins then the sushi app came but it took another 20 mins for edamame a very simple dish. Our order was taken at 9:47 according to the receipt on the chefs cart. Alex was wonderful and took care of us with laughs however we did not see Alex until 11 pm due to shortage of staff. That being said the next day myself and my bf were extremely sick with nausea and diarrhea and I am to believe our food was sitting on the cart for a hour before being cooked for us as servers and prep cook were not under staffed according to manager just did not have enough hibachi chefs. They gave us half off but considering I haven't been able to hold down even water we shouldn't have paid. Never coming back to this location. read more

Went to Benihana to celebrate my 22 wedding anniversary. Had a horrible experience! Never received the appetizer, my husband ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, Hibachi Supreme with chicken fried rice. The chef gave the fried rice to someone else and when he got to my husband last with no fried rice he realized he had gave it to someone that did not order rice but had quickly started eating it. The chef never said anything and threw the last bit(less than a bite) on my husbands plate. There was no show given at all however they ask if anybody was celebrating anything, there was a birthday at the table as well as our anniversary. I was never asked if I needed a refill on my drink. The shrimp appetizer was cooked last after we had already ate over half of the food. The couple next to us, had food missing as well. The waiter finally let us know there was a mistake with our sushi after we already had soup and salad. We asked to speak with the manager and he decided to give the table a discount of 20%. Nothing was ever offered to us specifically or no mention of the rice situation. We purchased a rice to take home and got that at least. Cooked in the back of course. We never got offered our ice cream and had to request it after the bill was already paid. This was a very disappointing visit to Benihana, I have never had this type of service with no accountability at all. Did I mention that I go to Benihana multiple times per month and unfortunately this experience has put a bitter taste in my mouth especially since I choose to drive over an hour to have the Benihana experience! read more

If you set your expectations that you will be spending more than you'd probably like to spend, you will have a great visit. Everything we ate (chicken yakisoba, Benihana Trio, and all the sides) were very tasty. The food leaned a bit on the salty side but flavors were all there. Things went smoothly but our waiter, who was friendly, lacked a bit of service by not writing down our orders and therefore messing up on a couple items, and also rushing us out after our meal. We've been to Benihana hundreds of time. It's practically our go to restaurant to celebrate birthdays and any special occasions. It's our kids and grandkids favorite restaurant. Tonight was the most outstanding and entertaining experience we ever had encounter while dining at Benihana. It's all due to Derrick aka Prince, our server and Issac, our chef. Derrick provided the best customer service with an attitude of a person who is serving the most important person in the world. Issac was cooking up a show that was full of fun and laughter. Not only was he hilarious, the food he cooked up was perfect. So delicious. We hope that the next time we dine at this Benihana location, they'll be here and we will dine at their table. What a shame that the good food and great chefs are paying the price for terrible waiters and poor management. We had a birthday reservation today for a 13 person group. We were told ahead of time that we would be charged 18% gratuity because of the size of our group which is acceptable of course. What isn't acceptable is that since we were a large group we didn't all fit on one side of the table top a lot of our older kids choose to sit together (all minors) when it was time to pay they refused to let us add our children to our tab! This time I ordered to go for pick up, I get there, a woman goes back to check for my order, and doesn't come back for 15 mins. When she comes back, she doesn't tell me the status so I have to go ask where my order is. They tell me they "lost my ticket but are remaking it now". No apology or anything.
