She said these were different x-rays that I had not had done before and my insurance would cover it. I told her I was hesitant to have x-rays at all and I didn't care for them. She never mentioned how many would be involved and then proceeded to take 24! Yes, I counted them. Then they came in to tell me that I had no decay or cavities (I'm glad we took all those x-rays). Then I decided to just go back for my cleaning since the x-rays were done. They called me back 30 minutes after my appointment time. Then I received a bill for $93. I called them just to have an invoice sent and she explained how my insurance denied the x-rays because I already had a panoramic and bite wings from my previous dentist. I mentioned that I even questioned this at my appointment and in the future they should really consider this and make sure insurance is going to cover it and it's necessary before just doing it. While she was polite, her tone did change and she wanted to get me off the phone as soon as possible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I've had problems getting numb before procedures in the past, and he is the only dentist I have found that makes procedures easy and painless by making sure I am completely numb before beginning. Also, he is very personable and remembers details about me and my family. He asks how we are doing, and he even remembers to inquire about recent family trips we have taken. He has a great memory. I like that personal touch. Once again, I highly recommend Dr. Pyo for family general dentistry. I recommend Cheryl for my periodic cleaning - she is extremely thorough and professional. I ask for her by name when making cleaning appointments. Furthermore, I have worked closely with Amanda, the office manager, regarding my insurance coverage, and she has been extremely helpful in explaining my benefits and making sure I am getting the best bang for my buck. She will routinely call my insurance company to make sure certain procedures have been authorized and will be covered. I give Amanda five stars also! Lastly, I saw some comments about people waiting a long time before being seen. I completely disagree with that characterization. I've been coming to this office for at least 10 years and can't remember a time that I had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes after checking in before being called back to begin. Those events must've been abnormal circumstances that caused people to write those negative reviews. That has not been my experience at all.

Sheena and Steve (dentists) are married partners off the practice, and they are both fantastic, friendly and gentle. I have had so many bad experiences with prior doctors and as a result I struggle with severe dental related anxiety and fear. Even the smell of a dental office, that ground enamel smell, will make my heart race and have me nauseous. Then we found Dr. Mader and I can't even properly explain how much of an impact he has had on my life. Every visit I feel years of anxiety shed off like weights being lifted from my shoulders; they make me feel super comfortable, remember me and my wife and kids by name the moment we walk in, the office and exam rooms all smell wonderful (clean and sterile and no tooth enamel smell), the staff is all SOO nice. You can tell they care about their team and hand pick the best of the best, which then means you get people who work on you with great attitudes and are just genuinely pleasant to be around. Besides the amazing staff of nurses and Dr. Mader, I've also had the pleasure of having Dr Lynch, Dr VanDeVoore. and Dr Durnell and all are equally incredible doctors. Shout out to all of them, some of the kindest and coolest doctors I've met in my life. I mean, I would hang out with these people, they all just give off that "good guy vibe." I always come out feeling better, even during procedures where there should be discomfort after and I've got to say -- I just feel better than I did before the procedure! Even putting in an IV line I couldn't feel a thing, not even a pinch. I don't know how they do it, these guys are so good I'm tempted to call them magicians instead of doctors because their work is straight up magic.
