Brandy often seems distracted and disconnected from what is happening around her, while Sara can come across as uninterested in engaging with customers. You may place an order, receive your beer, and then barely be acknowledged afterward. The food is also inconsistent, especially the pizza. We have ordered it multiple times and rarely know what to expect. One visit it may be overly greasy, another time overcooked or burnt. Consistency should be one of the basics of running a restaurant. I also believe personal political opinions should be kept separate from the workplace. Customers come in to relax, have something to eat or drink, and enjoy themselves--not to feel like they are being pulled into an employee's political views, regardless of which side those views fall on. What makes this especially disappointing is that the place itself has a lot of potential. The atmosphere is appealing, and with stronger management, more consistent food preparation, and employees who genuinely make every customer feel welcome and valued, this could be a great establishment. I hope the owner takes constructive criticism seriously and focuses on hiring, training, and retaining staff who understand that hospitality is about making every paying customer feel acknowledged and appreciated. I asked him why and he stated because he had not liked the way the previous customer spoke with him. I then asked what that had to do with me and that I went to get my identification as requested and would like to make the purchase. There were people behind me who also commented stating I had nothing to do with that situation but he said no I don't have to serve you. I said so you are refusing to serve me? He confirmed and He became very loud, rude and obnoxious after I requested his name which he also refused to provide me with and when I requested to speak with the manager he said he was the manager and that he's not serving me making the comment that I should've moved faster to my car to get identification. Be advised, there were several other couples in the other line and in front of us at that line where only one person was asked for identification to purchase not both people at the register. So there is the possibility those people could have been purchasing for an unlicensed minor. I felt very discriminated against and embarrassed. I felt belittled and appalled at the way I was spoken to. I believe In treating others the way you want to be treated and at no time was I loud rude or disrespectful to this gentleman and therefore deserved the same treatment. I came in town to visit from up north expecting southern hospitality and am very disappointed in the way this gentleman reacted because of the way he felt someone else treated him and it affected his mood towards me. I don't want make this a racial issue however I didn't not observe any other African Americans in the store and all other customers of Caucasian decent were treated with kindness even after he was rude to me.
