Don't go to this place at all.they ruined your brows. I've been going to Benefit for almost 6years in bay-are and since I moved to Roseville I had to just go here. First time I went it was awful and so unhappy half of my brows gone. Second time I told myself let's give it another try with another person maybe it will be better this time and I went with another person, this one was worse the other one omg she didn't even ask me how I want it and not even showing me mirror before what she's about to doing it.after she finishes she gave me mirror to look and OMG awful another bad experience. I rather to drive 1 h to Bay Area to go to them. Never going back and won't recommend this place at all unprofessional people. read more

I went here 2 days before my baby shower just needed a clean up. Very dissatisfied the eyebrow tech scissored my eyebrows and took so much hair off everywhere! I left feeling like I lost my eyebrows I was better off never going now I have to wear a lot of brow makeup to make them full again. I told the tech they've never ever been that little in my life and she was like oh you don't like them? And still made me pay. Ridiculous. Go in with real full eyebrows leave with skinny thin eyebrows it'll be months for my brows to be back to normal on top of that my left brow is thinner than the right now like wow come on couldn't even get them even? read more

Disappointing. Paid to have my mother in laws' brows done. Brows looked great but eyes lids were burnt and skin lifted. All she said was- you're going to have to put ointment on it. And handed my mother in law four packets of ointment. No apology. No nothing. Then asked for a tip by handing me an envelope. (I wasn't around when brows were getting done) Mother in law doesn't want me to go back to Macy's to complain BUT- for her to keep waxing even when she was told the wax was hot. Terrible. There's red marks left on both eyelids and definitely will scab up. Definitely not coming back to this brow bar. read more

They do a good job at an eyebrow wax but the wait times are insane right now as they only have 1 person available doing them. You pretty much cannot be a walk in anymore, just like the DMV; make an appointment. Even with one I still had to wait about 20 minutes. read more

I felt compelled to write this review so that I may save other ladies from having their eyebrows butchered by Becca. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed every 2 weeks for the last 20 years. I've been going to Benefits for at least a decade. I have been through the routine dozens of times. I recently moved to Placer County and decided to try the Benefits Brow Bar in the Roseville Galleria because it was closer to home. I had been going to Arden. What a giant mistake that was. I called ahead and talked the receptionist and told her that I would like the best girl they have. She booked me an appointment with the manager Becca. I arrived about 5 minutes early and there was not one employee on the floor. I walked around and around waiting for someone to show up. Finally after 10 minutes the receptionist shows up and says Becca will be there shortly. By the time she arrived it had been 10 minutes past my appointment time which is never a good start. I told her that I just wanted my eyebrows and lip waxed. She started drawing on the lines around my brow which I have never seen anyone do before. My eyebrows are not complex, and in fact I have been getting them done for so long it is very easy to see the lines and clean them up. I'm thinking in my head is she a beginner? Did she just get her license? Then she gets out the scissors and starts going to town like Edward Scissorhands. I have never experience that either. She was seriously struggling bouncing all around and doing nothing in synchronicity. She did not even show me the one brow she finished before proceeding with the other. After she was done I had to ask to see myself in the mirror. She had completely destroyed my eyebrows..... She told me that I could just fill it in with Gimme Brow! How awful. I couldn't believe the experience I had, but most of all I can't believe that this girl had any type of license to give beauty care. She should have her license revoked and demoted from her position. Hopefully with enough reviews her manager will realize what a hack she is and how her lack of skills is ultimately directly affecting the business of that store. read more

I've been desperately trying to find a good waxer in Roseville after a few not so great experiences at a threading place and also at the EWC. I had no idea that Benefit even had a brow bar until I stumbled upon the reviews here on Yelp. I immediately called and made an appointment for the next day. Melissa did my wax and she is amazing. She didn't overdo it, left my tails alone, cleaned and trimmed everything and them combed them differently than I usually do, but in a way that made me say, "Why haven't I been combing them like that my whole life?" After she waxed she cleaned everything up and used Brow Zings to fill everything in and Boing to cover up the redness. She also put some highlighter and mascara on my eyes. All while chatting pleasantly. She did try to sell me on several products, but that happens at EWC also, and at least at Benefit the products are fabulous. I didn't buy anything but the wax, but will likely pick up some concealer and Brow Zings next time. An eyebrow wax at Benefit runs $20. But be ready with some cash for the tip because you cannot add it on to your credit card purchase. I had absolutely no cash on me the day I was there and was about to run to an ATM but the cashier said that people often tip the gals in Starbucks gift cards, so I went out to the Starbucks that is just outside Macy's and bought a $5 gift card and took it back. I made an appointment, but I believe they take walk ins, if you are prepared to wait. You have to make an appointment at least 2 hours in advance, so you could always go in and make an appointment then make it the last stop on your shopping trip. Anyway, five huge stars for Melissa and Benefit. They rock! read more

I took my daughter to get her brows done for prom. My 15 yr daughter wanted the new updated arch. Sadly I only know how to do old school 90's style! So off to the the Benefit Brow Bar in Macy's we went. Ashley was our brow girl. She is amazing, up beat and totally adorable, my daughter felt completely comfortable with her. She gave her the arch she wanted and taught her how to comb, fill and gel for look she was trying to achieve. I got her the gel and was so sold I bought my self one too. My daughter will definitely be back. If I can get my brows to grow in I will be paying a visit to her chair in the future too. I usually get my brows waxed at Macy's Galleria benefit brow bar, and I don't usually have any problems. However the very last time (which was yesterday) I got my eyebrows done I remember the Waxing hurt more than usual on my right eyebrow. Sure enough I noticed later that night that I had a burn above my right eyebrow. I am pretty disappointed as I was not expecting to get burned during the wax.. I may have to start looking into other companies. read more

What was cool about getting my brows and lips waxed here ($27 for both) is that I didn't have to make an appointment, just signed up while I happened to be Xmas shopping, AND they used Benefit products to clean me up, concealer to hide the redness and brow shaper to color in my brows. The wax also is a good quality, "better than what's found in beauty stores," at least according to my aesthetician/sales girl. The only downside is that they do that thing that makeup salesgirls do which is try to push products on you. But I guess they're just doing their job and it's not like they act huffy if you say no. And yet I did fall for the pitch, I need that concealer, I need that Benetint pocket pal. In any case, you are still expected to tip even though this is a department store. Not that that's a bad thing. They hand you a little envelope so you can leave a cash tip for your aesthetician. My girl was Lillian and she was nice and quick. And she did a good job with the concealer cuz I didn't have any apparent redness. read more

I have been here many times to get my eyebrows waxed. I have also been assisted by many different young ladies, all of which have been very polite and friendly. I have never been disappointed with how my brows turn out. The prices are more than fair. Additionally, the employees always put a bit of makeup on after my wax in order to disguise the redness. I've been growing my eyebrows for almost a year now trying to regain a good shape for my brows. I finally decided it was time to go beautify myself, I only wanted the best so I went to brow bar at Macy's because the girls are supposed to work magic with your eyebrows. They assigned me to deavon, she seemed like she knew what she was doing because she drew lines and mapped out all kinds of stuff with my brows and how they were going to look. 30 minutes later she handed me the mirror to take a look, her supervisor happened to be standing there at the time. I didn't even get to look at myself before the supervisor took the mirror and grabbed some tweezers and said do u mind if I touch you up a bit. Long story short the supervisor comped my eyebrows because that girl totally messed me up, she made me look like a sad clown. She didn't even shape my arch or anything, she waxed off everything I had grown to shape my eyebrow. Then when her supervisor said you should of done this not this the girl said "oh I wasn't even thinking about the top of her arch I was focused on the bottom".. uugghh hello the top of your brow is what makes your arch!!!!!! Don't ever go to her if you go to beauty bar, she will sad face your eyebrows like she did mine. I don't think I'll ever go back there again!! read more

I loved this place and had been going there for along time. On my last visit the wax burnt my upper eyelid. I got a scab and it hurt for a few days. Won't be going back... They need to make sure the wax isn't too hot before putting it on your skin! It could easily burn someone and cause permanent damage to the skin. read more

We drive from Chico to shop for the day and always hit the brow bar! We've never had a bad experience. The girls touch you up afterwards so you're not walking around with red eyes! Yes I am too a fan. I have been searching for a good brow wax since Feb (when we moved here). Thanks for YELP, I gave this place a try. For $20 you get a brow wax, and for $7 more you can add upper lips. I see Jillian but seems like all the girls do a good job. Note- posted the same review twice as the business has two listings on Yelp I usually go to the Benefit Brow Bar in San Francisco (you can check them out in my other reviews) to see Rachel, because I absolutely love her and the job she does on my eyebrows. But sometimes it is a little inconvenient to drive downtown and find parking to get my eyebrows done, so I figured I would try this one while I was visiting. I pretty much trust Benefit as I have never had a negative experience being waxed by anyone at any Benefit Brow Bar. I checked out their reviews and read good things about Misty so I went in without an appointment to see her. I only waited about 10 minutes, because she was already waxing another customer, and that was on a Saturday evening! I figured I would have to wait much longer on a weekend night without an appointment! Even after reading the reviews about Misty I was a little nervous just because she is who hasn't done my brows before and there is always the possibility of them not coming out as expected. I have to say, Misty did an amazing job! They seemed a little busy but she took the time to make sure I was happy, which wasn't hard because as soon as I picked up the mirror I had no complaints! She cleaned up the shape, they look natural but polished, and I found a new place to get my eyebrows done in Roseville! I'm so glad I found this place because now I don't have to stress if I don't have the time to see Rachel in the city before I come to Roseville for a visit! I also spent a great deal of time talking/playing makeup with Courtney who does not do eyebrows but touched up my makeup for me and applied makeup to my mom (who never wears makeup but found a lipgloss and a eyeshadow that she loves there) and my best friend who got her brows waxed as well. She wasn't pushy at all but still convinced us to buy more makeup than we expected...not her fault though because it just looked so good! :D Courtney was a total sweetheart and when we left my mom said it was like she was her new best friend!
