I always prefer small businesses to corporations, and today I remembered why. Don't be fooled by a coupon. This isn't a review for that other place, so I won't get into how awful it was. I'm just so shocked by the difference. Lesson learned: just pay for the service you want. Alesia was kind, quick, gentle, and thorough. The pain was barely noticeable. I have no shame or modesty, but even if you do she won't make you feel weird! Haha. I wish I could just make an appointment for you, that's how pumped I am by this wax. Also as a side note... I hate going places that make me feel weird about wearing a mask or asking to wash my hands. I'm higher risk, and it makes me nervous to try new places. Alesia offered me hand sanitizer when I came in, sanitized everything, had touchless hand washing areas, wore a mask, and opened the sliding door with her elbow. I appreciated that! The house is hardish to fine (it's pink, that'll help you see it!) and there's parking behind it. So much more comfortable than some chain place that looks and smells like a tanning salon. She's one of those stylists that actually listens to what you want and never pushes you to do or try something that isn't in your comfort zone. She had been cutting my hair for years before we ever had the conversation about me possibly doing something with color, specifically balayage. What I love most about Becca is that she really does care about your style and will spend time with you during your appointment to actually look at pictures, pins on Pinterest, etc. A lot of stylists I've been to sort of rush that process along, which can be really unnerving when you're spending time and money for color treatments -- Becca will never do that to you! If you take a look at her website, Facebook page, or Instagram handle, you can immediately see the breadth of her ability. Becca is creative, passionate, and a TOTAL pleasure to be around. They were able to get me in a couple of weeks. I didn't have to wait long. There is a $25.00 fee for new patients (non refundable) which I understand incase of no shows. They sent me a questionnaire and health info information to fill out online so I didn't have to do it at the office. Very easy and quick. This place is pretty big, not only do they do dermatology, it's also a place they do Botox and other cosmetic procedures. It's so clean and the staff is attentive/ super friendly. My dermatologist was Emi Dougherty, CNP - Certified Nurse Practitioner. She was very patient and answered all my questions. They prescribed me Opzelura cream for my eczema. It's worker so far and I scheduled another appointment for follow up and skin test. Overall I am satisfied with my visit and recommend coming here.
