They're slightly unique, more so than other launderettes anyway as the machines are larger than domestic washers and some can take on a whopping 33 pounds of laundry. No excuses for wearing your wash day clothes with these bad boys around! Yep, it's just about the only launderette that's willing to take on your king size duvet. A full wash will take around 25 minutes, and the dryers, with their large drum capacity, actually manage to make all your unmentionables easy-iron. Pretty good, huh? Of note: the business is a full-service laundry establishment, so there are people actually working there (in what appears to be a laundromat in the U.S.) So, as I stood there in shorts (going commando), flip-flops and a t-shirt (I was trying to get everything I had with me clean), a woman named Sue finally stepped up to help. Coins? Apparently, the U.K. minted new coins that don't fit in old coin slots (parking meters are the same story...) so Sue generously changed out my NEW coins for old and explained retrofitting the machines to accept the NEW coins would cost like $200 (pounds). Anyhow, Sue and I got to talking and she was really kind. As for my laundry, it got clean and I was in/out in about an hour. I bought soap from Sue, exchanged new coins for old and talked about Wales...it turned out to be a fun laundromat experience. 4 stars
