This place is warm and too noisy and on the whole is not a very pleasant place to have spend your time as all there is to really do is watch the monotonous spin of the machines as you wait for your clothes. The reason I mention this one is it's one of the company branches which offers late night washing too, so you can indulge in many romantic, American-esque scenes like those cute ones in 40 Days and 40 Nights with Josh Hartnett and Shannyn Sossamon. Bless. Having opened their first launderette way back in 1951, they've gone from strength to strength providing washers and dryers for cityfolk ever since. They're slightly unique, more so than other launderettes anyway as the machines are larger than domestic washers and some can take on a whopping 33 pounds of laundry. No excuses for wearing your wash day clothes with these bad boys around! Yep, it's just about the only launderette that's willing to take on your king size duvet. A full wash will take around 25 minutes, and the dryers, with their large drum capacity, actually manage to make all your unmentionables easy-iron. Pretty good, huh? All in all if you're seeking a launderette in your local area, try and find a Liver. They're among the best.

Basically it's like taking your stuff home to your mum after a month at uni... the next day it's washed and folded and ready to go! At only £7 for a dress and £10 for a evening dress, you can't complain... I also noticed that they do wedding dresses for £90 if you need that all important outfit finely washed and pressed.

It costs around a tenner to have a suit dry-cleaned, which is slightly cheaper than other launderette's in the vicinity, and it can be back the same day as long as it's handed in early enough. I live miles away and preferred to travel to Krisp + Kleen than use any of the other launderettes closer to home. We had no washing machine for the first couple of months in our new house, so I practically lived in the place. Well, I dropped stuff off for service washes every fortnight. They even know my name now! Prices for service washes vary depending on the size of your load, but I always had the feeling they made very little profit per bag and charged mainly for the washing and drying. If you're caught short of time or as has happened many a time to moi, the washing machine breaks and your landlord hasn't been very co-operative, It's really cheap and is only 25 mins per load. The drums are so huge I've had bets on being able to fit inside, but even if that is slightly unlikely, they take a 33kg load and wash it in half the time. Winner! It's not exactly rocket science but everything is clearly and helpfully labelled and then all you have to do is wait for the magic to happen... Voila! Clean! They've also got late night opening in specific branches with the last load being 7pm so if you want a little romance struck over Bold and Lenor then this is the place. The best part is if you're in a real rush they provide a washing, ironing and folding service for a good price. (Great for students who want a live-away mum!)

They offer a same day service. Leather and Suade can also be cleaned here. Inside the shop is a huge Firbimatic machine which aparently uses hydrocarbon solvents. This is similar to standard dry cleaning but the petrolium solvents are slightly gentler on clothes although do produce VOC which are not great for the atmosphere.

The mature staff are very approachable and the prices are reasonable. I recently took a heavy coat to Creases for dry cleaning. The service was good and I had the coat back with me in a couple of days time. However, I was a little surprised and disappointed to find crumbs and debris still in the pockets; they clearly hadn't been cleaned and as the coat wasn't especially dirty or badly stained/marked this was one of the only required, and expected, duties. I will probably go here again, mainly because the store is so convenient but I will requests cleanage of pockets!

When you send something to the dry cleaners it is normally a quality item of clothing which you care for and as such you would hope that the people entrusted with its care would take sufficient steps to make sure it is looked after. My experience of this place was that they were not too careful about anything they did including they way they spoke to the customers who keep them in business. This establishment looks smart enough from the outside but the overall attitude within the building really sat badly with me and I left having used their services, not impressed. They don't do a bad job in terms of end product but this should be an all round good service and it simply wasn't.

She then begans to yell, becomes extremely defensive and horribly disrespectful to me "her customers." She stated that it is not her "responsibility to keep track of tags." So they remove the store tags, burned my sons brand new shirt, and I get yelled at? So now I am out of dry cleaning money because I paid cash as soon as I got there (like a dope) and I'm out of the money for the shirt. An old friend of mine's parents used to bring in the families ironing every week because they had lots of money and couldn't be arsed doing it. They offer very competitive rates on all aspects of dry cleaning and ironing. With shirt ironing from as little as one pound a shirt. Dry cleaning rates start at three pound fifty for a suit jacket, up to seven pound for a two piece suit! Excellent rates and not beaten by any local competitors. The shop is very friendly and is ran by a lovely couple called Geoff and Yvonne, an honest hard working pair that are constantly happy and chatty whenever you go in.
