I was not personally aware of how to even use a washing machine before I arrived in Liverpool as a naive student but having had to adjust to the real world I am now something of an expert. This new found confidence and independence even led me to the Liver Laundrette which was a novel experience to say the least as these are the kind of places I thought only existed on Eastenders. This place is warm and too noisy and on the whole is not a very pleasant place to have spend your time as all there is to really do is watch the monotonous spin of the machines as you wait for your clothes.
