The mature staff are very approachable and the prices are reasonable. I recently took a heavy coat to Creases for dry cleaning. The service was good and I had the coat back with me in a couple of days time. However, I was a little surprised and disappointed to find crumbs and debris still in the pockets; they clearly hadn't been cleaned and as the coat wasn't especially dirty or badly stained/marked this was one of the only required, and expected, duties. I will probably go here again, mainly because the store is so convenient but I will requests cleanage of pockets!

The quality of linen was first rate, the delivery has always been on the correct day within a decent time frame, and if I have ever had any kind of queries, it is the Managing Director himself that has always come out to meet with me. I've never come across a laundry service that has placed that much importance on the individual customer to be honest!! I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anybody.

However, sooner or later, I will need to do all this for myself, so I guess I should probably learn how to. Alternatively, I could just go to Maghull Hot Press to sort out all my ironing and laundry needs. As their name suggests, they offer a great and very useful service where they will wash and iron any clothes you need doing, meaning that if you're like me, any new-found need for independence can be put on hold for a little while longer. I guess if there were more places like this, then there wouldn't be much need for parents, would there? Except who would lend you money all the time, or feed you? I suppose there is all that stuff about love and affection too. Still, if you need your laundry or ironing doing, Maghull Hot Press is a very useful little shop that will do it all for you with a minimal amount of fuss.

I Asked these amateurs to sew a badge on a blazer for me, simple right? That's what I thought. They quoted me £30 which I thought was expensive but was prepared to pay for a good job as it was an expensive jacket and a very rare badge. When I went to collect the blazer, the badge was absolutely ruined!! They had damaged the gold braiding around the perimeter of the badge. Obviously done by the machine they had chucked it through! At the price they was charging sewn on by hand didn't seem to much to ask. This was not just any old badge it was a vintage Cunard crest badge which had never been taken out of the packaging and that had taken me two years to track down. When I challenged them about the damage they denied they had caused it, even though I produced a picture I had taken the morning I'd taken the jacket to them to see what it looked like. I asked to see the manager and I was absolutely gob smacked to say the least to find that the person who was dealing with me so poorly was the owner..... she had the attitude of a sixteen year old school leaver on work experience, the only thing missing was the chewing gum. Her customer service was absolutely disgusting at best. I'm sure the owner will come back to this review with some sort of smarmy reply judging by the other bad reviews she's responded to but I'm not prepared getting into tit for tat I just wanted to warn others from experiencing the same as me. There are far better shops you can choose and much more reasonably priced as I found out to my cost. I'm amazed shops like this even exist. I wouldn't ask them to repair a hole in my tea towel.
