I've never been much of a fan of launderettes, whenever I think of them I always picture that classic scene where the muscular, good-looking guy strips down to his briefs and sits there whilst his clothes wash and a multitude of women simultaneously faint at the sight of a scantily-clad torso. No thanks.
Lucky for me that dream didn't become a reality when our washing machine broke and I had the privilege of using this local launderette in Formby village. Opening at 8am everyday and staying opening for more than 12 hours most days, this little launderette is a godsend for anyone without the privilege of their own washing machine (whether temporary or permanent) as well as offering tumble drying, just try not to shrink your clothes too much.
Be sure to take a few sudokus with you though because there isn't much to do apart from watching your socks go round and round and round and round and round. read more
