Bend Kitty Lodge came highly recommended by our Veterinarian, and we have been using them 3 to 4 times a year for the last seven years. The entire place is spotlessly clean, the employees are amazing, and they have different size rooms, depending on your cat's needs. They also have outdoor rooms in the summer so your cat can roam, climb, and watch the wildlife! During the holidays they book up early, so call and get your reservations made. I was so nervous to drop my cat off after having to take her to the vet for a shot the day before bringing her to the bend kitty lodge. The two people at the front were so kind and helpful. They said I could call and check in on her anytime. A couple hours after I left for vacation, they called me and left a voicemail saying Kiki was settling in just fine. This is the third time I have boarded my two cats here. Both previous times have been great. This time was for an extended time and I was nervous as my one 15 yr old cat was declining and the vet and I knew he probably would only live 6 mo - a year. Unfortunately he went downhill rapidly after we dropped him off. In the beginning of the third week, Bend Kitty Lodge called me with concerns. They took him to the vet and after blood work and observation, we made the hard decision to euthanize him. Bend Kitty Lodge and the doctor made numerous calls to me to keep me up to date and were extremely compassionate. Two days later they called to tell me my other kitty was doing fine and eating better. I'm sure she misses her brother, but knew he was sick. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Recently moved up here to Bend and was looking for a place to keep my cat for a few days while i move in and get the house ready. I was pleasantly surprised that this is a cat only kennel! I always felt horrible in the past taking my cat to a loud boarding facility where there was barking dogs everywhere. Every time I dropped off my cat/picked him up he was terrified. This place is very cozy and has large sized cages that the cats are kept in. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be returning! read more

We went away for a trip and put our Kitty in the lodge for a 9 day duration. He was a 6 year old healthy cat. After we picked him up Kitty was totally changed, like his spirit was broken. He didn't eat, drank very little and seemed very lethargic and weak. I called the vet for advice and I was told that changed behavior can happen to cats after separation from their owner. He didn't improve and I took him to the vet after 2 days and by then Kitty was anemic and the vet put him immediately into an oxygen chamber. She drew blood and put him on an IV. I drove to the Pet Emergency with his blood sample and unfortunately he had Blood Type B which is very rare in cats.They offered to draw blood from a donor cat and gave it to Kitty, but he was't able to produce his own red blood cells. He was diagnosed with IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). He stayed 1.5 days at the ER and his chance of survival was 10%. We had to make the horrible decision to put him down. We payed a total of $2500 in Vet and ER bills and still lost our beloved cat. After Kitty's demise we called the Kitty lodge and informed them what happened. They expressed regret of this news at the Kitty Lodge, however for us the main question that couldn't be answered is "Why wasn't it noticed about Kitty's behavior at the lodge of his lethargy, his not eating, etc?"Kitty lost 1.5 pounds. Why wasn't this picked up? We haven't even received condolences such as a simple card from them??? read more

We have been lucky to find this wonderful lodging for our aging kitty. The Bend Kitty Lodge is the perfect place to park your kitty when you have to travel. The prices are reasonable and the cats get much more attention than just having some cat sitter come to your home once or twice a day. And it is a lot less $$ than having someone live in! The gals are great -- they dote on the cats and see to their every need. The space for the cats is great, with lots of interesting cat furniture to crawl on and windows to look out of. Out kitty is 18 and we were worried about having to leave him -- no worries. We've used Kitty Lodge now about 4 times and are VERY pleases. They came recommended by several friends with cats, AND, our vet! read more

This place is awesome. The staff really care about your cat and gets to know them. We only started boarding our cat about 2 years after our other cat died and she started getting really nervous being left alone. (As in loud crazy meowing in the middle of the night after we returned.) Bend Kitty Lodge doesn't charge extra for medicines, special dietary needs, etc. There rates are very affordable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

Harley D is my large, cranky, and energetic part Maine Coon. We have boarded him at Bend Kitty Lodge for almost 3 years, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Harley can be difficult, but the staff has found ways to make him a happy camper. They are eager to work with all the past wacky feeding schedules, they Harley-proof his room so he doesn't eat all the toys, and they play 'toss the kibbles' with him.
