The call began without any greeting, and she immediately told me that I needed to reschedule my appointment for next year because Dr. Silveria would not be available until then. I explained that I needed my annual checkup completed this year, not next year. I was told there were no available appointments, and the only option was to see another provider. The issue was not the scheduling change itself, but the extremely rude tone and lack of basic courtesy during the conversation. When I asked her to please speak more politely--especially since my appointment was being canceled--she hung up on me and canceled my appointment without my consent. This experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. After being a loyal patient for years, I expected at least respectful communication and basic courtesy.

Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

Coming from Lifetime, where the experience could be rather impersonal, I was very gun shy. But oh, was I thrilled with this find! Dr. Hussny's office harkens back to individualized relationships between doctor and patient. The office is small--three staff members, I believe--and the experience has less of a "big box store" mentality as many larger medical practices do in the area. Dr. Hussny projects a teamwork mentality focused on overall wellness, rather than just strictly dealing with symptoms and transient illnesses. Seeing a doctor with an approach that looks at all aspects--short, medium, and long term--sometimes can seem a rarity given our 10 minute appointment times with healthcare professionals. I didn't realize just how much I'd missed a solid doctor/patient relationship until I had Dr. Hussny in front of me, giving me that time and never making me feel rushed. The waiting area is a little small, but with only one practitioner seeing patients, it shouldn't be too crowded. I scheduled an appointment only after explicitly confirming with the staff that the doctor could refill my medications. I had just moved to Virginia from Florida on short notice to care for my mother after her heart attack, and I explained clearly that I didn't have a primary care provider here yet and urgently needed my routine prescriptions refilled. The staff assured me--100% guaranteed--that the doctor would take care of it. When I arrived, Dr. Singh immediately told me that his team had "misinformed" me and that he would not be prescribing anything. These are basic, standard prescriptions, that i've been taking for 10 years. I had sent them my medical records and doctor notes ahead of time. Not only was my time completely wasted, but I then received a $150 bill for an appointment where I was essentially bait-and-switched and left without the care I was promised. When I called to address this, the woman who answered the phone was shockingly unprofessional--talking over me, raising her voice, and treating me with outright disrespect. I've never dealt with a medical office that showed such little empathy, professionalism, or basic human decency. I rarely write reviews, but people deserve to know what they're walking into. Balance currently has 4 DPT (doctor of physical therapy) and 5 PTA (physical therapy assistant). They are all great and work together as a team.
