I just finished about two weeks ago as my knee replacement has had issues to say the least. I've worked with all the therapists and they are all awesome! Before my surgery Anna & Brittany did the dry needling to stimulate the atrophied muscles around my knee and Jeff discovered that while no two legs are exactly the same length, the doctor made mine a bit too long and suggested lifts for my right foot. Doing this has cut down on the massive back pain that I had from walking like a pirate. My knee replacement has been a failure but they did everything under the sun to help me. I would recommend them to everyone. I'll be going back if I ever decide that I want to risk getting my right knee.

Knee injury? here are the set of exercises other PT groups will prescribe not targeting the exercises to how you are doing and your specific weaknesses. At Elite they treat each person like an individual and tailor your treatment to how you are responding and they always ask what is aggravating you on that particular day. Often you may come on with a specific pain like your back and they will recognize that it's actually your hip that is causing your back pain and you leave feeling better. They all work as a team so if you are with Anna one day and the next time Jeff you aren't starting over because their care overlaps and the communication between them has occurred before you even get there. I can't say enough, how impressed I have been with their knowledge base and caring for each patients recovery and success. I noticed the review from Dawn and she can't be more off base and I'm sorry she gave them a low star review because they literally have helped me get my life back after numerous surgeries. It is always a positive, pleasant place to go where everyone knows who you are and acknowledges you immediately. One of the reasons I chose them was they are privately owned so you don't become a number in the corporate machine mentality where they don't really care about your recovery or get to know who you are. You can't go wrong with Elite Sports Medicine and physical therapy. I would like to stop needing them but as long as I do I'm glad I have them as part of my care team.

My cat startled and bit my index finger. Despite thoroughly cleaning, application of antibiotic ointment immediately, AND a doc visit--plus antibiotics--all within eight hours of the bite, it quickly became infected. I went to my local ER, and Haymaket Med Center transfered me to PW hospital after 9 pm, and Dr. Albertson met me there. He assured me that he would not rush to operate, calmed my rampaging terror, and checked in with me several times a day as antibiotics helped me heal over the course of the week. It was to credit that I never felt that the situation was as serious as it ended up being. Follow up appointments were just as professional. Dr. Albertson is fantastic! More recently, I was scheduled to see Dr. Friend for an issue with my hands. She was just as reassuring, suggesting a step by step plan of action that ends, rather than begins, with surgery. Though surgery looks as if to be the only answer, Dr. Friend has my confidence and I'll literally put my hands in her capable ones. Last year, my husband became a patient of Dr. Albertson's, for a hip issue. Dr. Albertson assured him that cortisone injections wouldn't hurt as much as hubby feared, convincing him to go that route. He also advised against a hip replacement at hubby's current age, which is greatly appreciated. I don't need a doctor to be warm and fuzzy, but I do respond to calmness, competence, and positivity, and both these doctors had those in spades, in addition to a great bedside (Dr.A) and office side (Dr. Friend) manner. I wouldn't call them warm and fuzzy, but I will tell you they both have a great manner. Both doctors answered my questions, gave ample time for both evaluation and education and I feel very confident in recommending this office. I firmly believe, 4 years on, that Dr. Albertson's considered decisions were the key to me having functionality in my finger, and not having to undergo surgery while I was fighting a hand, and life, threatening infection. I have the same confidence that Dr. Friend will help restore functionality to my hands from my current problem.

I have been a patient at a couple of other clinics in Gainesville, VA since July of 2024, and when my prognosis grew stale and outcomes were either unchanged or actually regressed I searched for different options. Kayla actually seems to listen to me each time I visit and addresses my issues with manipulation, massage, and exercise recommendations. I recently updated my treatment plan with my podiatrist and Prime PT had implemented the changes to my treatment plan in time for my next visit (proactively, which is a big change from other providers). I will continue as long as needed for weekly and then infrequent visits when my issues become more manageable. I truly enjoy, and don't dread my sessions here and couldn't recommend them more.
