Average Ben & Jerry place. It was clean. The staff was super nice. I had the milk and cookies and my mom had vanilla. I just can't give it a higher rating because it's just average. read more

Ben & Jerry’s - Cute - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Cape May, New Jersey

Clean store, pleasant staff and a ton of flavors make this place excellent. The portions are generous and the ice cream is rich and delicious. I had the chocolate peanut butter which was an excellent choice. Smooth and just the right amount of rich chocolate and peanut butter. read more

Ben & Jerry’s - Small size - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Cape May, New Jersey

It has been years since I have been able to go to a physical Ben & Jerry's location. I grew up with one near by, but now that I have become lactose intolerant, I rarely get to indulge in ice cream. I was so excited to see that they had nondairy options available. I ordered the cookie dough option and I'd say the ratio might lean a little more towards the cookie dough than the ice cream. Delicious as always, I love Ben & Jerry's. read more

Way over priced. Rude staff. $36 for 2 cones and a cup is outrageous!! Go to Uncle Charlie's or Kohrs instead.

I've never been a B&J ice cream fan but decided to give them a try in store. I like the company just not their ice cream. We tried the mango ice cream and it tasted like it was just vanilla ice cream blended with some sort of very strong mango extract. We both found it inedible. It's also wildly expensive compared to other ice cream places in town. All around it wasn't worth the stop. read more

Who doesn't love Ben and Jerry's! This location doesn't disappoint. The shop is on the smaller side, but has all the classic Ben and Jerry's artwork and apparel on sale. It is located in the Washington street mall where you order inside and can either walk around to eat your ice cream, find a nice bench or sit at one of the limited outdoor seats just outside the door. The staff was friendly and extremely fast to keep the line moving, all while letting me try 3 samples (I was very indecisive). They have GF and dairy free options which is always a bonus! I had the Marshmallow Sky flavor which I highly recommend! read more

Ben & Jerry’s - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Cape May, New Jersey

As a Ben and Jerry's connoisseur, I had to visit the scoop shop during my time in Cape May. This location is exceptional. The franchise owner is a nice young man from Baltimore, my hometown. He and the other employee, an older gentleman, had the best customer service. As someone with a life threatening peanut tree nut allergy, I am always very cautious about ice cream places. They made me feel very comfortable. We gabbed about ice cream flavors and naturally I told them about my 2 page long B&J flavor rating chart I keep. It was nice to feel in the know about such a hot topic (ice cream). I ordered a scoop shop exclusive, the salted caramel blondie. I watched them open a fresh new container, just for me, to avoid cross contamination, which was very thoughtful :) My travel partner was less thoughtful and ordered a peanut butter flavor, but I let it slide this one time. We sat to eat our ice cream at the table inside and the employees chatted with us a bit more. I enjoyed the conversation very much. I hope to come back here again if I am back in Cape May. read more

Great place they have such a wonderful ice cream for a lot people 10/10 will be going this year

It's a Ben and Jerry's at the shore, so there are a few things you'd expect, a ton of people, very little seating and sticky tables. Once you get past that, it was a great experience. My husband was able to get a non-dairy, almond milk ice cream, which is always a plus when we can find non-dairy dessert. I had the Lights, Caramel, Action. My kids had their usual, chocolate and vanilla. I loved the wooden spoons. It reminded me of eating the Jack and Jill Dixie cup ice cream in elementary school. They were perfectly strong enough to hold up to my loaded ice cream. This location is locally owned and operated so we'd probably go again. I usually like to try a local place but it's hard to find gluten free for one family member and dairy free for another so this met our needs perfectly . read more

Me and my friends took a very long time to order due to the fact that they have 30 amazing flavors to chose from! In the photo above we got, milk and cookies, mint chip and milk and cookies, and lemon and vanilla. The service was amazing! They were very patient and kind, and they provided us with free water. I would definitely recommend coming here. The atmosphere is so amazing here, with the music, the customers, and everything read more

Ben & Jerry’s - Three amazing flavors of ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Cape May, New Jersey

It's Ben and Jerry's so how could any ice cream lover be disappointed!? This is a must stop for my 3 kids every time we are walking around Cape May. The smell of the fresh made cones instantly draws you to go inside! Nice selection on hand dipped ice cream and they also have pints if that is what you prefer. Just like most places now days, staff seems overwhelmed, rushed and not impolite but not very friendly. The bar for polite and friendly has been set by Chick-fil-A employees(every location and state)which makes it hard for me to give any establishment a 5 star rating. read more

I'm a big fan of good quality ice creams but I had a horrible experience yesterday at Ben & Jerry's in Cape May, NJ. I'm sure they are on social and environmental crusade but they provide you with a wooden spoon to eat your ice cream. The spoon is weak and constantly on the verge of breaking but worse of all the spoon conveys off flavors to the ice cream and tactilly a bad mouth feel. Until they come up with a better spoon or go back to plastic I'm off Ben & Jerry's; you're wasting good money on a poor quality ice cream experience. read more

Good ice cream. Excellent service. Great place to stop on the Mall in Cape May. Will definitely return.

Ben & Jerry flavors can't be beat. Service here was okay. I went for the sweet cream and cookies and the cookie dough. I wish they had mint cookie available. Prices were expensive $20 for two specialty cones and two small scoops each. read more

What can really go wrong at a Ben and Jerry's? It's just bound to be delicious, and come on... A Belgian waffle ice cream burrito? A customizable core sundae with two of your favorite flavors packed around a core of hot fudge? Fresh brownies and cookies? Yes please to all of the above. The store is located on the busy promenade but the line moved quickly and the staff was efficient. Will be back (sorry, waistline). read more

The location is small with some inside and outside eating areas (like maybe 6 tables altogether). We were greeted a few seconds after. The server was patient as we couldn't make up our minds, and when we finally did she served us right away. I had the Salted Caramel Blondie which is very sweet, even with the salted but absolutely delicious. The ice cream for Ben and Jerry's is always good but I think this flavor might be my new favorite! Will definitely come back here when in the mood for something sweet! read more

I am a tough critic when it comes to ice cream. The variety of flavor, consistency, service, and cleanliness of the store all goes into my 5 star rating. This little Ben & Jerry's hits the spot on a hot day in Cape May. We visited this little store around the closing seasons in Cape May. Upon entering the store, you're in solemn territory. The staffs at the counter acknowledged us with a soulless stare. We took a look at the menu which offers the mainstream B&J flavors and ordered the milk & cookies (cookies and cream), cherry garcia, and mint chip and another cup of banana peanut butter. I was hoping that since I am at a B&J store, they would carry more exotic flavors but they do not. B&J ice cream ranks high in terms of creaminess and flavors, but I'm not so sure about paying $11 for two cups of ice cream (one large and one small cup). The store itself is tiny and kept relatively clean. read more

If you love Ben & Jerry's seeing an actual shop where you don't have to get it out of a container is great. But, make sure you come prepared to wait in a line because I have to say it is probably the most popular ice cream shop around. Although the line can be rather long obviously it's not their fault. They always have as many people as possible working and employees often will give you a menu while in the line so you can order asap. Overall ,besides long lines, the place is great with a friendly staff, lots of interesting flavors and outside seating all around. read more

I wish I could give these people 100 stars. I will never go anywhere else for ice cream. Ever. Here is why: On Easter Sunday, my family and I were in B&J in Cape May. We each had a Sundae which was OUTSTANDING and when we left, we enjoyed a few minutes with my daughter at the playground. We had a great day together and returned home to Pennsylvania that night. When I got home, I realized I had left my purse in Ben and Jerry's! I panicked. I called the shop and George and Jean the owners could not have been more kind. Coincidentally, they were heading up from the shore the next day and they met me and returned my purse to me. The kindness of these store owners and the deliciousness of their ice-cream makes me a Ben and Jerry's emissary for life. Thank you George and Jean! We will see you next time we are at the beach! read more

Was doing a quick ride into Cape May and wanted some ice cream after lunch with the family. We skipped a lot of the "local" creameries since they didn't offer dairy free options for my 1 year old (allergy). We saw Ben & Jerry's listed and know that there is typically a Ben & Jerry's non dairy option at our grocery stores so decided to give it a shot. We were worried about parking, seating, and how busy they may be. Fortunately, there is a good amount of parking nearby (metered - spent $1.85 for a Wednesday in June around 1pm, not terrible), a few outdoor tables and two small (2 seater) inside tables. The cashier was very nice, very responsive, ensured we knew what flavors they had and repeated our order back to us to ensure she had it correct. When we asked about non dairy options, she not only rattled off the non dairy ice cream options but also let us know their sorbet was dairy free (some sorbet can have cream or milk in it). I personally don't have a dairy allergy like my daughter does, but too much dairy doesnt agree with me so I tend to stick to dairy replacements like various plant milks, etc. I tried the non dairy chocolate chip cookie dough, made with almond milk and it was amazing! Great service, great location. read more

Nice little ice cream shop in the Washington Street Mall. Everyone knows Ben & Jerry's has the best ice cream flavors on earth so there's that. Open later than a lot of the other shops in the mall which is real nice. The also offer these delicious looking waffle sundaes. Not like waffle cone or waffle bowls, but a legit, hot Belgian waffle. We're talking chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries. The whole nine. Plus the staff is really friendly. Prices aren't bad either. Check the place out. read more

Big shout out to Paul for his gracious 7/23/2021 offer to swap my large Mint Cookie shake, which I had thought was simply a shake made with their delicious "Mint Chocolate Cookie" (i.e. Oreos) ice cream, but which is actually a combo of "Mint Chocolate Chunk" and "Sweet Cream & Cookies". Walking away from the shop, I tasted potentially trip-ruining chunks of darker chocolate, which gives me migraines. After my explanation, Paul offered the exchange without any debate, suggesting other options I might like. Thank you Paul! read more
