Simply stunning! I used cake art last year for our wedding. I would highly recommend Cake Art to my friends and family. Susan, the mastermind behind Cake Art was a pleasure to work with. She was open to many ideas and the vision I had our cake was masterfully met. One of the highlights of my wedding day way walking in to our function hall before the reception and seeing the cake set up beautifully by Susan. I was so moved and was immediately brought to tears. My husband surprised me with 25 cupcakes on my 25th birthday for a tea party we were having. The cupcakes were the highlight of the event. All the guests raved at how beautiful and delicious they were! To celebrate your first anniversary, Susan supplies the couples with a free 8in cake to commemorate your wedding day. The staff at Cake Art were incredibly flexible with when we wanted to redeem our free cake. We were able to use our cake to celebrate Valentine's Day. The cake was beautifully simple. ( We actually forgot to pick ours up on time!) Susan gave us a call to remind us and waited around after closing to make sure we got it. We were incredibly appreciative! This last cake was a little dry and the filling was very sparse. In their defense, I can only imagine that this time of year is very busy. It was a wonderful free cake, nevertheless! read more

I've used Susan, the head pastry chef, at Cake Art for many cakes. First for my bridal shower, then my wedding and most recently for my son's christening cake. Every time we got an amazing tasting cake and beautifully decorated. The most memorable being my wedding cake. It was a moist almond flavor cake. I wanted the look of fondant icing but with the whipped buttercream. She did an amazing job on smooth look of the icing and it tasted amazing. Picture is the 3 tier square cake with orchids. I would recommend her for any occasion. We'll be using her next on my son's 1st birthday cake! read more

I've never left a review about anything, but as a small business in my area I felt that I should!!!!!! I went in to order a cake for a "Surprise 70th" bday cake for my mom..... I showed a picture of what I wanted and I thought we were on the same page!!!!! i asked for a layer of strawberries in the middle of the layers and then on top!!!!! Easy!!!! So I was charged an extra $30 on top of the $60 cake charge!!!! I have to say the cake/icing was by far the best I've ever tasted (all my guests were blown away at how good it was!!!) but I got a few half slivers in between layers, not what I paid for, and 3-4 full berries on top!!!!!! I could have got a container of strawberries at the market for $3.00, NOT $30!!!!!!!! But when you order something and pay extra you expect it!!!! read more

Meh. Stopped in on a whim on the way to Salisbury U. Girl was not very friendly, wouldn't let me charge $9.54 bc it has to be $10 minimum. Ugh I can't stand when businesses treat customers like this. Reese's cupcake was very dry, but the icing was really good. Also, I mentioned it was my birthday, which received an "Eh" reply. Overall I'm not a fan and won't be back. read more

i used them for my wedding cake and cupcakes. the cupcakes and cake were delicious, moist and really pretty and fun. they could deliver them which was a bit of a bummer but they were great to work with and flexible with my last minute changes. the cupcakes flavors were not as 'strong' as i'm used to - salty caramel was not that salty for example, but they did have a wide appeal. the almond cake with truffle was our favorite. i would highly recommend cake art. read more

Susan worked with me to make a 3 tier cake that looked like stacked packages, and each tier was a different flavor (lemon, chocolate and vanilla). Her attention to detail is amazing!
