The staff is friendly, but like all the other reviews say the speed of service is at a snails pace…read more You wait on a line for check in screening to be moved to an area to wait. You then get a chair and wait for a tech to come hook you up. Then you wait to be unhooked. If they would increase their staff maybe they would be more efficient and time conscious. The lack of speed just seems like a lack of concern for patrons time.

Warning About America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses - Waco, Texas…read moreMy wife and I had an extremely disappointing experience at America's Best in Waco, Texas. We went there in December 2025 and used our insurance benefits for glasses. In February 2026, I returned for contact lenses. I left the office without clear vision and was told it would take a few days for the contacts to adjust. Four months and approximately eight trips later (nearly 50 miles each way), I still do not have clear vision. My prescription was changed repeatedly, but the problem was never corrected. I have worn contacts for 40 years and have never experienced this many problems or excuses from a vision provider. My wife had the exact same experience. Neither one of us currently has vision good enough to safely drive, and we cannot even use a computer comfortably without adding reading glasses purchased elsewhere. We spoke with General Manager Joel Files, but our concerns were not handled in a way that resolved the issue. We requested a refund so we could go somewhere else for proper vision care. America's Best refunded only the deductible and has not credited back the insurance-paid portion. After months of frustration, wasted time, travel, and additional expenses, we are now forced to find another provider and pay again.

It is a pricey eye place. Has a few eye doctors and stations. It does have its own optic store for…read moreglasses and contacts. Why I say maybe is because they are not optometrists which means that you would really need special care for your eyes like if you are diabetic or other medical conditions. They do take care of people with normal vision impairments but they insist on dilation because that is what they do. They specialize in cataract and eye diseases. So far I have found them friendly but if you want just a regular eye exam then no, I do not suggest this place just for the reasons mentioned above.

I have to virtually just about be dead to go to the doctor, due to prior experience with other health care individuals. I had the honor of being Dr. Matt Burge's patient and I have nothing but praise for him and his staff. He diagnosed me quickly and took the necessary steps to set my healing in motion. He explained everything to me and let me know he was there if I had other questions or concerns. I have told everyone I know how wonderful they are and will not hesitate to go back.

I felt awful, had a 102° fever and full body pain. They didn't do any of the testing I wanted and insisted it was something completely unrelated, completely invalidated all of my other feelings, and made me out to feel stupid. At the end of the night all they offered me was a shot for pain after doing zero other screening. Thank god it wasn't something more serious, because they wouldn't have cared.
