NO ONE ever wants to be in need of emergency care, but I tell you what, being in the care of the Express Emergency Room makes it all bearable. Seriously, my family comes here for all our emergency needs, from major to sickness to major infections. Here are three main reasons why we only go here for our emergency needs. First, I appreciate how our overall time there is swift and smooth. We can hold our spot online before we get there. Then we arrive to a peaceful waiting room. On average, we are there a little under an hour leaving with a diagnosis and remedy. Second, the best part is the staff tending to your care. They are educated, personal, and thorough. There have been many times where they offer counsel that is current and educates us. One instance was on steroids and how the pills taken at home are better than just a steroid shot. These guys know that they are talking about. Lastly, we are private pay and the charges are clear, reasonable, and upfront. We know exactly how much a general visit will cost, and when further charges are required, we negotiate up front. No second guessing. We have always just paid from our savings, but it does appear they have payment plans. They were actually in the news for forgiving the debts at multiple of their locations. I went in this morning for a strep test. I'm 25 weeks pregnant and allergic to penicillin. The nurse was was very nice but the dr Came in After me waiting 40 Minutes after they swabbed my throat for the strep test. Which the wait was the least of my concerns he came in with a steroid shot and said that I was negative for strep the only thing that would help me with a steroid shot but because I was pregnant I couldn't have it but still showed it to me. And then prescribed me two medication's. Mind you I had asked told the nurse two times that I was allergic to penicillin. I left I went to the pharmacy and they told me that one of the prescriptions was penicillin. So then I had to call my doctor to get me a new prescription because I can't trust someone I just paid hundreds if not thousands of dollars to do absolutely nothing except make me wait give me a prescription that could've jeopardized me and my baby and was very rude. I could've got over the wait I could've got over the rudeness But the fact that I had even double checked that this was safe for me to take and he didn't even give two shits to double check is what pisses me off I will never go see the doctor again. read more

While no one looks forward to needing medical care, my visit to Express Emergency Room completely changed my perspective. I came in with flu-like symptoms and was impressed by how quickly and efficiently I was seen. The facility was clean, and Estela at the front desk made check-in simple and welcoming. Hannah, the ER tech, was kind and professional, and Brian, the nurse, was attentive and thorough in evaluating my symptoms. Uriel and Dr. McSpadden were both incredibly caring and ensured I received the right treatment. I truly appreciate the entire team for making what could have been a stressful experience smooth and reassuring. I'm not someone who typically goes out of my way to write reviews, but the level of care I received made it hard not to. While I hope I don't need to return, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Express Emergency in Waco if I do. read more

I took my mom there last week and we received some of the best care we have ever experienced. Beautiful facilities, comforting staff and best of all FAST! Everyone was so kind, caring and respectful. Stacy at the front desk was helpful with quick paperwork and Misha was ready with a smile on her face to triage her. Chris was already waiting for us in the room to take her vitals and Dr. Wieters was there in less than 2 minutes to see her. All in all, it was some of the best care we have received. Dr. Parker even called the next day to follow up on her condition and thanked us for choosing Express ER. I will recommend this place through and through to everyone I know because they won us over with the care, the speed but most of all, the compassion! read more

I have used Express ER for both myself and my grandson who was visiting from Florida. This is a top notch facility with wonderful healthcare providers. Service is quick and thorough. I will never use hospital ER again if I dont have to. These folks really take your situation as important and make you feel cared about the moment you walk in (it's a shame our local hospital ERs seem so uncaring and infriendly upon your arrival). I recommend Express ER to everyone and you can even check in on-line. They are so thoughtful they even send Christmas Cards with a gift card to Starbucks. As far as patient care goes, this is as good as it gets! The staff and doctors here are amazing. They really know how to make you feel cared for and important. The clinic is always clean and they have Netflix, snacks and warm blankets for longer stays. read more
