HE TOOK AN EXRAY. I HAD 3 BROKEN RIBS. i could see them plainly on the xray. they are lucky i didnt have 4 i would have had to have them wired . to hold them in place. other than a head injury for broken bones. an Xray will almost always be good enough most to see broken bones Xray. This was the second time i had had a cat scan at this facility that was read wrong. while their care friendlyness and general medical knoledge is good . at lease one maybe 2 doctors their needs alot more training on a Cat scan machine. She has insurance and good insurance. So we ended up at the E R at Hillcrest and they were great with her. No ID needed. Just patient care. Most 92 yr olds do not have any form of ID. My interaction with the front desk person went from bad to worse. When I was asked to review what happened I went through my phone and could not remember as she her questions were being fired at me. I was asked if I responded to the email. She wanted me to show it to her. Since it was over two weeks earlier, I could not find it. She then basically implied that I may or may not have set up the appointment. It is not nice to assume an over age 60 person can't remember or is confused. I then said, I did not email I had called the number. During that time she was impatient and scheduled an appointment for me the next day. Not admitting there was a mistake on their end. Almost like covering it up. I did find in my phone records. I had called the number and they had called me back setting up the appointment. At this point, it did not matter to the front desk person. I asked to talk to the manager, because I did not like the insinuations or treatment I received. I was told that Tad the manager was not there. I am making this review because empathy and grace is needed when dealing with people. Especially people that are at retirement age. This facility has great customer IQ with their audiologists. They are top notch. Not the front desk. After they have your money, there is no appreciation or self awareness that they may have made a mistake and not booked the appointment that was set up by a customer. It is not always the fault of the customer. Unfortunately, my rescheduled time interfered with my activities I scheduled with my out town family that was here for the Holidays. So I lost out for something I did not do. And when I went back, no Tad that is supposedly the manager. I wanted to talk to him. What a disappointment that a leader has no interest in customer feedback. My review is top notch audiologists, with an opposite front desk experience for any follow up care.

After I finished and returned the paperwork, another patient came in shortly after and was asked to fill out the same forms but was also offered water or another beverage from the mini fridge, something that was never offered to me. The difference in treatment was noticeable and unprofessional. Additionally, after my MRI was completed, I was given a DVD containing my images. Considering that DVD players are not very common anymore, this already seemed inconvenient. When I got home and attempted to review the files, there were no images in the folder. I called the office to ask about this and was told by the older lady that the DVD was only for my doctor to review. However, I had been told earlier that the images were already being sent to my doctor and that the DVD was a copy for my own records and review. When I explained this, the staff member dismissed my concern and stated that I "wouldn't know what I was looking at anyway." This response was both unprofessional and dismissive. If patients are given copies of their imaging, they should at least be able to access the files. Otherwise, it raises the question of why patients are given copies at all. Overall, the experience left me feeling poorly treated and frustrated with the lack of professionalism and clear communication.
