If we have packages, they have to sit there until I can possibly leave work early so that I can get there before they close. The ladies however, are very nice but the gentleman that works behind the desk is very rude and gives the impression that he doesn't want to be bothered. He barely speaks to the customers. Postmaster refuses to do or talk to the carrier. Caught carrier texting and talking on her phone. Wondered why she was sitting on the road, at our mailboxes so long. They told me on both occasions that they couldn't find it!!!! Unacceptable!!!!!! The line typically moves slow and seems to be long during most of the hours of operation. But, today it did move fast, despite the fact that I waited for 10-15 minutes for her to look for my letter!!! When she did come back to tell me that she was sorry, because she couldn't find it, I said, "this is unacceptable and I explained that this is the 2nd time this has happened." Then, she said, "let me check one other place. Finally, she came back with the letter! She did apologize, but it shouldn't have taken 15 minutes to find 1 letter. I am very angry at the Gastonia Post Office. There is no excuse for a package that is supposed to be delivered to Charlotte, NC and then to Fort Mill, SC to move backwards and go all the way to Cleveland, OH. I signed up for updates on this package that I am supposed to be getting. I don't trust the Post Office when they do sneaky stuff like that that makes no sense at all.
