Great service by owner. Allows pets. Comfortable bed. Good climate control. Loved the shower.

Unfortunately, this place seems to have lost its luster. This used to be my go to stop when driving…read morethrough Alabama. I didn't mind the hold on my card being processed. However, with the upgrades, the cleanliness seems to have taken a turn for the worst. See pics. There is also a charge for children. I booked 2 rooms online and filled in the appropriate amount of people and even added in details in the section given noting that there would be 2 adults and a 2 year old in one room. Upon arrival, I was charged extra for the 2 year old. That was fine, just unexpected since I had filled out the information beforehand. The clerk was a young man and he was mildly nice. The room was quiet and no unpleasant odors. The beds in one room were decent. The pillows are okay. Towels are okay. The bed in the other room was worn out with impressions from people sleeping on either side, causing a mound in the middle. The bathroom is what really stuck out to me. The facing of the vanity needed cleaning. The joints in the updated shower and tub were not met or seamed properly, so there was mildew growing. The bottom of the mirror was not clean. We rested after traveling all day and checked out. It served its purpose but when you are showering or bathing, black mildew should not come from the seams of the shower and tub. The area is safe and quiet. There is no breakfast, but the huddle house next door is convenient.

They will racially profile you when you enter and give you a higher price based on your race. There is mold and mildew everywhere everywhere. & They tell their employees NOT to mention they have free breakfast because they try and avoid making too much food. They also use LEFTOVERS from the breakfast day before if there are any available. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay in this motel.

Tip 2: if you call the desk after hours, hold on through the message and someone is always on call. I would gladly stay here again in a back corner room. I was in 302, where the view was terrible but the space was excellent for doing a workout between the bed and tv stand. It was quiet. I love the exposed brick and the decor but wonder why there are two gorgeous light fixtures flaming the bed with a switch by the bathroom. That means a reader like me had to relocate the lamp so I wouldn't have to get out of bed to turn out a light. I like that they give you what look like locally made toiletries (lotion, soap and even room spray). They smelled good. Staff were accommodating and checked on our group as guests and when using a meeting room to be sure we were satisfied. And to be right by Big Bad Breakfast and in a lovely walkable downtown made it just right. I didn't know why I'm not compelled to give it 5 stars but I certainly enjoyed being there.

During the check-in process, the Big Bad Breakfast trash had to be taken out through the hotel lobby. When we got to our room, the AC unit was making a noise every 20 seconds or so. When we went downstairs to ask about getting it fixed, they immediately knew which room we were in (so clearly a known issue that no one has bothered to correct). The only solution they offered was a refund so we found a different hotel thankfully! I have no idea how this is a 4-star hotel - we will not be back.

The staff was very helpful and understanding to our leas than pleasurable company accommodations. They went above and beyond from day 1. Apparently there's a pasture in the back of this place containing a few cows, snakes are everywhere around here too. Seems as if it was built on the worlds largest ant foundation. Standing in one place for more than two minutes pretty much guarantees you to have a few little guys somewhere on your person. I've also saved a dozen or so beetles out of the swimming pool (outside) since my arrival here. Seems to be very clean, well kept, hospitable staff. Breakfast is 6-10, very good eats, southern style. Poolside is cool, especially because its upper 60's maybe 70's in Cleveland. Its 85-90 down here. Im loving that. Not much im Corinth though. There is however Waffle Houses by the dozens and a Battle if Shiloh Museum. Exxon Gas is a big one, lol. Im loving the relaxation, honestly. As the rest of the world is cruising along, safely at 60mph, these folks are politely and sluggishly at a steady pace of 25mph. Cool as hell!

Me and my wife was told that since their employees didn't show up we were basically out of luck and nothing could be done about it. Would not recommend booking with Expedia or this hotel at all.
